Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: GrizzliesGM on September 26, 2006, 01:56:53 PM My offense sucks. Its officially the lowest scoring offense in the league. I think Kirilenko and Jeanatte have been really disapointing on the offensive end but they really do contribute well defensively. Anyways, i'm definitally going to need to find a new starting sg.
Besides that, my team has been doing well enough. Once I make a few trades I think the Grizzlies will become one of the top teams in the west for at least another year. Still, thats not saying much. Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: BlazersGM on September 26, 2006, 02:23:33 PM Went 3-4, disappointed 'cause majority of games was at home, but i had to make some changes
because of trade issues so that's probably the cause of a bad sim, next sim things will be back in order i'm sure. Clipps +5 win...Booz 32/9, Hoffa 18/20 had an inspiring night. @Heat -4 loss...Hoffa 29/10, Booz 19/9, others disappointed. Lakers +18 win...Hoffa 29/11, Booz 16/23. @Spurs -14 loss Nets -2 loss...Booz 35/13. Knicks -8 loss...Hoffa 31/20...damn you Larry! Grizzlies +5 win...Hoffa 17/16 on a beautiful 2-15 from field, never saw him worse. Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: WizardsGM on September 26, 2006, 02:34:18 PM Scoring is hard to come by for my team, especially with Polacio injured this past sim. Scoring under 90pts a game is not gonna cut it. The problem is my bigs. Basically all are shooting under 40%. Rookie Seth Magloire might get his first start next sim because he is the only big man shooting a semi-respectable number. Very encouraged by my 2 building blocks Profit and Evans, and still pleased with the reliable Brand (yes, I know, overpaid, I get it you can shut up now lol).
Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: SpursGM-old on September 26, 2006, 03:02:56 PM 3-1 sim...about what I expected. Minor changes made after the first sim but not much difference in results. This team finished with the 6th best record last year and should be up there again this season...especially with only 1 starter age 30 or over.
Biggest surprise is the defensive numbers being put up by this team...holding the top spot in points allowed per game. Also tops in the league in steal differential (+3.2) and turnover differential (-5.0). This leads to the Spurs taking almost 6 more FG attempts and 1.5 more FT attempts per game. Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: MavsGM on September 26, 2006, 03:19:21 PM Fifth worse defense in the league? :screwy: Besides Melo all my starters are A- or better on D. I want answers. :bash:
Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: ClippersGM-old on September 26, 2006, 03:42:13 PM Where are the offers for Maggette, Havlicek and Perry? :)
Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on September 26, 2006, 04:26:24 PM Mediocre sim. I knew i won't repeat the first one, but Magic is just insane. In only his first month as a pro we went for triple double, and pretty powerfull one; 35pts, 11rebs and 11as. Pretty impressive. He's still having some troubles with to's but he's just a rookie, it's acceptable.
Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: HornetsGM on September 26, 2006, 05:53:54 PM Nice sim for the Hornets, though we lost to division rival Toronto...
Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: HeatGM on September 26, 2006, 07:50:50 PM a very strong sim...only lost to the hornets... :bounce: everybody is playing good basketball....Ladon augmon should be my best draft pick...averaging 4 .1bpg while being picked at 23rd in the 2nd round...very nice
Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: NetsGM on September 26, 2006, 09:39:50 PM 4-1 for the Nets, change of style seemed to suit them a bit better. Slow start for Lincoln, but Maggette is really picking him up and Antonio Seymore has been solid. Also very nice that my hotshot rookie Kyle Macy, playing slightly out of position at SG, is shooting a blistering .833/.750/.750 albeit in limited minutes.
Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: MagicGM on September 26, 2006, 11:10:47 PM Good to see my team playing well. went 4-2. Dwight has a perfect game against the Grizzlies, too bad he was hobbled with fould trobule. perfect ft, perfect field goal, no turnover :D
Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: SonicsGM on September 27, 2006, 01:43:11 AM A couple of weird stats this sim:
Wiley Peck pulls down 17 rebounds at SG against the Nets. Garrett Ward hands out 14 assists, and turns the ball over 11 times against the Mavs Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: SixersGM on September 27, 2006, 07:06:16 AM 5-1 in this sim.
Goudin and Donta Smith seems to be the difference between this sim and the 1st one. Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: MagicGM on September 27, 2006, 07:34:08 AM its a pity that I don't get any recogintion for scouting Air Jourdain.
Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: GoldenStateGM on September 27, 2006, 08:37:06 AM The Warriors are crazy...
truly expecting this to be a rebuilding season, and instead they come out and play incredible defense. Jim Finley is having is best season as a pro so far, Luol Deng is bringing great defense and rebounding from the SF spot, Uncle Cliffy is showing he was worth a high draft pick, and Andre Iguodala is showing he is a very tough match-up at PG... Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: CelticsGM on September 27, 2006, 10:12:56 AM I knew I would have troubles scoring without Marion, so the win against the Cavs makes me pretty happy. The losses to the Knicks (who somehow are a dangerous team now with Eddy) and the Heat (where Tower held Keogan at least in check) came expected. Somehow Dirk plays much much better if he's not the focal point of the offense (which he has to be without Marion). But a 2-2 record without my best players is fine with me.
Carlos Tower played rock solid putting up 14/9/5 on good % as a starter ... but can please SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW YOU CAN HAVE ZERO FT ATTEMPTS after starting 4 games at SG (and playing backup 4 more games) ??? He simply gets no calls from the refs. If anyone else has a starter who NEVER gets fouled feel free to join Carlos' "no respect" support group ... :bash: I'm a little bis disappointed how Strait still looks completely lost in my lineup, he has big troubles with the outside offense who fits my scorers so well. Guess some change will have to be made ... Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: CelticsGM on September 27, 2006, 03:57:41 PM or maybe he was fouled so hard he couldn't even shoot those freebees himself, and a replacement player had to be called upon ... every time.
or maybe he is so lightning quick he's runs himself wide open all the time shooting and no defender is close enough to foul him. or maybe it IS possible to shoot 30 attempts from 3pt land and 37 from inside the arc without getting fouled. or maybe the refs just stink ... :bods: Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: GoldenStateGM on September 27, 2006, 04:43:31 PM Or he avoids contact like the plague...
Which would also explain how a 6'8" 230lb player has a D+ rebounding ability... Although his 2.8 in 27 mpg this year is very good, so far... Title: Re: Sim 2 Up Post by: MavsGM on September 27, 2006, 04:53:35 PM Todd Pinkston of basketball.
