For that violation of not calling i would ask Kings 1st rounder this season, so Kings came out as a true winner here :P Title: Re: Celtics / Kings (at the very last second ...) Post by: CelticsGM on August 25, 2006, 10:50:55 AM this deal was a tough one to get.
Using all expirings i had to trade (and JdN is simply an expiring with a $300 price tag) there were 18.52 mio in salaries available from my side. Since I needed to shred exactly 2.43 mio in salaries to avoid a hard cap violation I needed to find return salaries in the range from 16.03mio (anything less would have required a trade execption) and 16.09mio (anything more and I stay above the hard cap). Ivan and I were getting this done with him offering 16.06mio contract value, and the best of it, all contracts on both sides are expiring (JdN with the tag, you know). Hope I didn't make a calculation mistake, but this was lots of fun ... Title: Re: Celtics / Kings (at the very last second ...) In the future, that's in violation of the tanking rules. why? we always allowed to trade good player for expiring and/or picks. Title: Re: Celtics / Kings (at the very last second ...) Post by: KingsGM-old on August 26, 2006, 06:53:28 PM Yeah, but me being me, just can't keep my mouth shut.
