yeah, taking on the first was apparently the price to pay to get Royal.

(Yikes, a very very very late first. You mostly get a crap guy - about a 20% chance it will become decent - and have him on your book for 4 years.)

:lmao: really funny. you are the guy with the most selfproclaimed studs taken late in the first or even second round. So you should know that a first is always better than what he got.

So do I rather have Julius Smith (picked #30) on a 2nd rounder contract or the Warriors Helman (picked #29) on a 1st rounder contract ?
Rather PG Alex Rychtr (#32, Lakers) or PG J.C. Lieberman (#28, Nets) ?

Hmmm, let me think for the fraction of a second ... guess I go with option #1 in both cases.

Looking at the players themselves I see no similarities other than both are male and can play PF. One skinny defensive minded shot blocker, on the other side a wide body with nice offense but little else. But I must confess i'd rather have Royal than Lundy, who actually got worse since coming in this league.

on a personal sidenote:
To get the record straight, I have no idea where you get this "selfproclaimed stud" stuff from. I picked late 1st in 2013 (Heuer#25, cpu pick, horrible, thankfully got rid of him) and in 2010 (#28 Larry Escamilla, who was probably the worst A shooting SG ever). Higher picked was PF Villegas at #21 in 2012? didn't play a minute in this league i believe in 4 years.

Rocky Elliott? #19 in 2008. Stud? You tell me since you traded for him.
Bailey Snow? #6 in 2007. Career backup.
Ronny Roof? #11 in 2013. Coooooool name, nice backup, zero trade value. (The jury's still out if Roof actually has a ceiling or if his tremendous upside potential will ever be fulfilled  8) )

So what are you talking about here ?

boy, I get flamed for taking the Raptors 1st in teh Butler deal because it isnt worth anything, now I give it up for the same reason and get flamed for that as well.  :screwy:

Royal Jackson is a nobody of a player. He is only 6'8", way too small to be a quality centre. He doesnt have any potential. I mean, my team is lottery bound and he still has not found any playing time on it. Lundy is already showing some signs of life in only his 2nd season, he still has potential and putting up 9/5 off the bench. I lock up a decent young player for an additional season and it doesnt hurt my $20mil in capspace for next season. For the price of a future 26th overall pick, I really dont mind. I still have 2 1sts next season.

ps - very disappointed in the lack of a trade deadline flurry here

I second your trading away of the pick, which is dead weight in my opinion ...

... but with Royal I can't see your point here.

He's nobody? Without potential ? How do you know, i hope not from the "C" at the end of is ratings line as that is crap. I'm not saying he's a good one, but at least we still don't know.

You have a lottery team and haven't found any playing time for him? Can blame nobody but yourself for that. how about putting him in the lineup at least ONCE before dealing him to find out???

It would be different if Royal was a rookie, but its his 3rd year in the league and he has played a grand total of 31 games and when he did play, it was under 10min. So I do not see him as a contributor, where I do see Lundy as a contributor.

And yes, I do know that C is quite possibly not a C, but seeing his past stats leaves a lot to be desired.

I like Lundy, he played very nicely for me. But really, this trade is not so significant from me, at least compared to what I have coming up. You want to see a flurry, Nuggets? You got it...There was a reason I said you might have been better off giving me my own pick back...
