Just a quick scan:
top of draft is about normal.  seems the end of the 1st round is a little stronger than normal.

Vinny and Greenwood would look good in a Knicks Uniform... The top of the draft is definatly not as good as last years.

Magic definitely looks like he could be the most unique point guard in the league, which probably makes sense. 

wouldn't surprise me to see him move around either.  A C rebounding could realistically have him play almost 4 positions.

BTw, the ratings were generated by me entering in the first year stats of all the players, then FBB generating the ratings.  This also means the potentials are random as well.

Did you do the same for last year's draft as well?

No, last year I hand-created the ratings.

Looks pretty nice. Nothing compares to last year's draft, but this one definitely seems alright.

Hmm....  Well, there are 5 guys I like, and I have the 5th pick, so I am safe in that regard, I guess.
Not moving up was a huge dissapointment, and the Kings getting the first pick is just a slap in the face...

Since we know who the Kings are taking...any inclination of who the Knicks are taking?

Depends on a FA. Magic won't help me much without some big signings. That pick could still be a lotto IMO.

Oh, next year's pick has nothing to do with it...  That will still be a lotto pick...
But, it is the fact that the lottery exists to make it harder for a team to purposely attempt to get the first pick...
You only had about a 25% chance of getting the pick, and yet you still got it.

damn, Derek, how could you miss out on two All Stars from this draft class taken later:

James Donaldson, one of those underrated big men averaging a double-double a few years, and making the ASG once, and immortal Bill Laimbeer, who not only took 2 titles and 4 All Star game appearances home but might have been one of the all time toughest dudes in this game.

If those two are added now i take them #21 and #22 without hesitation ...

Because they were taken in the 3rd and 4th rounds.  I'm only recreating the 1st round of each year.  Some good players will slip through the cracks, obviously.  But eh.

Nah, i was never a big fan of him (although i did start to play basketball mainly cause of him).
