Title: ESPN: Q and A with KingsGM
Post by: KingsGM-old on July 07, 2006, 06:57:44 PM
Due to special events in Sacramento, where Kings GM, obnoxious ZLOVRO, announced a full rebuilding of a once powerfull team, ESPN representitives once again sat down with mr ZLOVRO for a brief chat about failed expectations, future plans etc. Press conference was once again, as usual, packed and at full house.

Chris Sheridan; What's the main reason for such drastic moves?

ZLOVRO: Isn't it obvious? Age off course.

Tim Legler: Can you tell us how quickly you expect this team to bounce back to the elite level?

ZLOVRO; 2 years. 3 at max.

Chris Broussard; Was it a last year blockbuster involving a young palyer like Igoudala and a pick in 2017 a failure?

ZLOVRO: Off course it was. We surely didn't trade for a first round exit. We were expecting a deep playoff run but ended up short.

Bill Simons; What's your relationship with George Pietrf after such a letdown in the playoffs?

ZLOVRO; Why would it be any diferent? We both agreed last summer it was a great move for bringing guys like Gasol, Nowitzki and Collison for basically nothing. We both agreed on giving this team a one more chance for the title. No one expected such a letdown. I've had a lunch with him this afternoon and he's mostly dissapointed in the players. He told me that he's having a hard time finding a one bad move in the last 10 years since i'm in charge. I've brought superstars such as Mcgrady, Tim Duncan, Nowitzki and Rafel Araujo to the Sacramento and despite not winning the title i think people of Sacramento are respecting that. It was a great ride.

Ric Bucher; You said that this team will be back very soon, like you already did in the past. But this team was never in such situation like this before. How do you figure to fullfill this promise?

ZLOVRO: I belive people want to play in Sacramento. We've had pretty good luck in prevoius FA's. With projected 42 mil of cap, 60+ winning ratio and a very high pick i think we have the pieces to be back very soon.

Marc Stein; Is it possible that your failure of winning the title in Sacramento is somehow related to your constant and continuos alcohol abuse and other ilegal drugs habits?

ZLOVRO: You want to be banned from Arco Arena for life? Get lost. I've never liked your columns anyway.

John Hollinger; And finally, are you even worse GM then CelticsGM?

ZLOVRO: That's impossible.

agreed.

Complete playoff underachiever, in any league. Guess I made the least out of his teams, talentwise in the history of FBB, so i deserve that ...

LOL, but the Kings have peaked at the right time (almost). One year later would be better. We will see how skilled the 'immortal' Zlovro is at rebuilding.  :)

dont worry, Zlovro has aces in his hands....im confident he knows how and im sure he'll do it....he'll never win a title however.....but he'll make it, he'll rebuild and be competitive.

yeah but rebuilding with an all real players would be impossible...since the young real players are drafted and lock with their respective teams  :D just wondering...but im sure ul be in the playoffs :)

How you mean?

It's just too well known. No need for obvious things.

Well, i did it DJSL as well. I've inherited one of the worst teams in the leagues (there was Iverson and bunch of no ones on the roster) and in just a few years i've made a all star team. Their performance is another story. :?

Yep, that's the tricky part. Answer is below;

Yes, that's just the part of the plan. I'll stockpile fictional talent (you can imagine my posts about their performace will be minimum and non existing since there is really no passion, maybe i'll do but just cause of trading value sake :P). Then i'll trade them for the real young talent ala Dr J or Isiah Thomas when the time comes. :P
