Post by: GoldenStateGM on March 03, 2005, 01:51:42 PM
Warriors trade

Dale Davis, Calbert Cheaney, Luis Flores, Detroit's 1st round pick in 2006 and Golden State's 1st round pick in 2007

to The Supersonics for

Ben Wallace and Antonio McDyess

Agreed from the Warriors side

Edited because I had put the incorrect years in for draft picks.. now correct

Happy to take him...   :D
He will be sitting on my IR for a long, long time...  lol

But now, my frontcourt finally has the perfect mix.
Cannot imagine a player I would rather have playing next to my young, offensive minded center (Andres Biedrins, B+ inside, A potential) then big Ben Wallace, with his defense (A+) and rebounding (A-).

And my second unit now includes Adonal Foyle and Nick Collison.  Foyle is the opposite of Biedrins, an experienced center with A- defense and B rebounding, while Collison is the opposite of Big Ben, a PF with a B+ inside rating...

Plus, I have also just taken the title of the worst free throw shooting team in the league!!!!!

Sonics Cut Kevin Willis and Tom Gugliotta to make the deal work

definately nice on the warriors part...they already have a lot of youth, got rid of some of the old vets, and now they just upped their status even more in the West.

So Big Ben was traded to get rid of McDyess and for some picks? Maybe from the Sonics standpoint it was the right move, but GS got a great deal.

Wow, i thought my offer of 7 million in expiring, Billups and a 1st and 2nd was decent...  didn't know you wanted expiring that bad...  I was even willing to take back McDyess...  Atleast my deal could have kept you as a contender, but good luck to ya...

Not trying to be smart, Jazz...  You have a young team with an amazing group of talented players... I am jealous, especially since AK is one of my favorite players.

And I have a feeling the two games that we play in Utah will decide who gets the higher playoff seeding this year....
