Title: Sim 9 Up Post by: NetsGM on June 23, 2006, 07:39:05 AM Still more mediocrity
Title: Re: Sim 9 Up Post by: MagicGM on June 23, 2006, 07:54:47 AM best sim for a while now. Dwight was a man on a mission. :)
Title: Re: Sim 9 Up Post by: BlazersGM on June 23, 2006, 08:12:56 AM poor 3-2 sim with 2 losses to non PO teams argh....but regained #2 record, still 3GB Clipps, could be better i've we had
won at least 1 more. @Wizards 97-106....damn loss in D.C, they made a terrific run scoring 39(over my 22) in 2nd period, later it proved to be decisive. Buehler led scorers with 19/10, Hoffa in just 19mins added 17/8, Clement 16/6/6, Telf 15/8, fine overall perforamnce, too bad Hoffa didnt play more, things might get different. vs Suns 99-105...unacceptable home loss to Suns, started really bad this sim losing to 2 non PO teams...Hoffa dropped 33/22 2blk, no help from bench again, they need to take more responsability dammit. finished with 3 straight wins over 2 good teams. vs Grizz 98-91...Hoffa 34/14, Telf was great, Clement great all-around game but after a long time was shooting poorly. vs Grizz 101-85...another one....Hoffa 31/13, Telf 19/6/8, Clement see above, Buehler fouled out before HT. @Rockets 116-104....Clement felt quilty over 2 game poor offensive performance, dropped 23/7/6 on fantastic shooting, Cunningham 22/5/15 excellent perfomance that left Hoffa playing only 21mins altough he was doing fine, 17/10 good shooting...even scored a 3 pointer.Telfair 13/16 fantastic leadeership once more. Battle continues.... Title: Re: Sim 9 Up Post by: CelticsGM on June 23, 2006, 10:17:58 AM That was some fun sim to watch.
The Celtics Pride went 7-2 and showed some interesting versatility. We beat the Nets (84-79, holding them to a season low in points) and Jazz (77-74) in defensive battles, as well as some high scoring affairs. Raptors kicked out collective ass but we got revenge too. If not for a close 2pt loss to the Magic i'd call this a great sim. Everette Strait got a nice welcome and provided 10/5 from the bench on a whopping 60% shooting. If Griffin weren't such an important part of my offense (18ppg, 10rpg, 2.5blk) he'd get the starting nod. Julius is a phantastic offensive player (like matching Maximilian with 21/8 on 8-9 shooting in my win over Raptors) but probably more of a scorer than distributor (just 6.4 ass). Still my team is sharing the ball very well (25apg on just 11 TO tops the league), so i can take that. But let's see how Trumpy fits in this team now ... Next sim will be the toughest of the year. Only 5 games but i travel to the on-a-roll-Heat twice, to the hornets and to the Mavs while hosting the tough Suns inbetween. This will likely make or break my season quest for a top 4 spot. Can't wait to find out ... 8) Title: Re: Sim 9 Up Post by: RaptorsGM on June 23, 2006, 10:51:25 AM Well, that's was a fun season....but now it's over.
Starting PF, and leading scorer George Boykins goes down for the rest of the season and all of the playoffs. And the Raptors take another 3-4 TERRIBLE sim. Boykins started every game this sim, so I am still completely dumbfounded how a team can be a streaky as this....but it doesn't matter anymore. Title: Re: Sim 9 Up Post by: HeatGM on June 23, 2006, 11:00:55 AM wow...im really on-a-roll.... 25-6 after sim 4....and 18-2 after allstar break... :D im just happy that my team is learning slowly but surely how to shoot... :) taking a lot shots made my team a better shooter...like they say...practice makes perfect.... :D....lets go heat.... be the real champ in the NBA and SSBA :D
Title: Re: Sim 9 Up Post by: HornetsGM on June 23, 2006, 11:05:16 AM Yao Ming is having the best season of his career. Looks like I'll have home court advantage throughout the playoffs. That's big.
Title: Re: Sim 9 Up Post by: GoldenStateGM on June 23, 2006, 11:11:33 AM 5-1 sim for the Warriors, and slowly catching up to the Kings...
I will quite enjoy it it if I pass the Kings :) Andre Iguodala led the team in scoring this sim, he might be ready to take on first option status. the Finley brothers are playing very well at the 4 and 5 spots. And Tinsley... Tinsley is just playing the best ball of his career... A lot of guys have really stepped it up in Dirk and Hinrich's absence... Title: Re: Sim 9 Up Post by: SixersGM on June 23, 2006, 11:57:07 AM Pretty satisfied with this sim, I guess the changes paid off..
Title: Re: Sim 9 Up Post by: SonicsGM on June 23, 2006, 01:49:54 PM I figured, with my team likely out of it, that I would do something drastic this sim, and it didn't work. In fact, it could have been one of the worst moves in the history of the SSBA. That's right, I started the high schooler, Desmond Brothers at the SF position, allowing him atop my offensive options list. Here's what I got out of the young stud:
0 points, (0-4 FG), 5 rebounds, 3 TO in 25 minutes 8 points, (3-3 FG / 2-2 3-pt), 3 steals, 2 rebounds in 24 minutes 4 points, (1-2 FG) 4 rebounds in 27 minutes 3 points, (1-3 FG), 8 rebounds in 26 minutes 0 points, (0-1 FG), 5 rebounds, 5 TO in 28 minutes 6 points, (2-3 FG), 3 rebounds, 5 TO in 26 minutes 10 points, (5-7 FG), 9 rebounds in 26 minutes 0 points, (0-3 FG), 2 steals in 21 minutes 3 points, (1-5 FG), 2 rebounds, 2 steals in 30 minutes A grand total, in 9 games, of: 3.8 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 1.0 SPG, 2.4 TOPG, 41% FG, 50% FT, 50% 3-Pt He's going back to the injured reserve! Title: Re: Sim 9 Up Post by: MavsGM on June 23, 2006, 01:57:09 PM Back 2 back good sim for the Mavs. Melo and LeBron starting to play well together and Harris is having his best season as a pro.

I'm sorry, trev, i didn't even realize my win came against Billy Joe Kim (also voted POTG). That sucks. I really hope you come back next season with the same team and prove that this season was no fluke. Here's what I got out of the young stud: Don't be so harsh at these young guy. Stuff like that simply doesn't work. You don't get production just by making someone option. It doesn't even work for proven vets, I can give you a list of top players who's production immediately is cut in half when they get the "burden" of offensive option or worse, #1 OPTION !!! Some like it, some not. And C offensive guys at age 18 belong to the latter group ... Title: Re: Sim 9 Up Post by: RaptorsGM on June 24, 2006, 09:26:19 AM Quote I'm sorry, trev, i didn't even realize my win came against Billy Joe Kim (also voted POTG). Perhaps a few tweaks (neccessary due to the hard cap), but mostly the same team. |
