Title: Re: Sim 8 Discussion Post by: PacersGM on June 21, 2006, 02:00:12 AM back... everybody is healthy and now it is time to move up some places..
the east is incredible tough imo. had some very important wins against opp for the PO and a nice one against clipps artest is back and i hope i had enough injuries for this season priddy had 2 19reb games at C of the bench JO is increasing his scoring avg. almost every sim Title: Re: Sim 8 Discussion Post by: BlazersGM on June 21, 2006, 04:22:07 AM 3-3 sim, lost #3 but falling just 1GB behind....started with a 5th straight loss without Buehler, that guy is just too
important it seems, but thank god he came back after Sixers loss at home...however such a loss was unacceptable still... Cunny did great in that game 20/12, Telf played great also, Hoffa shooted very poorly playing just 23 mins, bench was miserable. Then came another loss @Knicks....definitely two losses that could have been won...Hoffa droped 34/17 2blk, Buehler in his come back 20/14 2blk, Telf 17/8 but again bench played bad however overall team performance was not so bad, FT was the only segment where we shooted poorly but it was a lack of defense and concentration that we lost. The other team was fantastic on offense shooting 54 % from field and 3PT and shooting good from FT line. Then came 3-1 to finish this mediocre sim, but finally no injury's and Steven is back....it should get better now. @Cavs +23....Hoffa 33/5/9 3blk 2stl but fouled out at start of last quarter, Ricardo 20/6 2blk, Telf 19/9 2stl, Buehler 15/11...interesting how suddenly coach decided to give Clement limited time in this 3 games and give more to Wetzel, ill have to talk with him about that. @Spurs -14...Telf 29/9 2stl, Buehler was good, other's played like crap, too many TO's and poor shooting, interesting how Hoffa took so few shots last few games and there was no change in the game tactics. vs Rockets +10...Hoffa fouled out again but still droped 23/13 4blk, Telf 18/11 but a lot of TO's...Buehler 17/12 3blk. Coach finally put Clement on his usual minutes and he did well like he always does. vs Nuggets +15...Hoffa 27/16, Cunny 20/7 excellent on offense, Clement 17/7/9 always near a triple, Telf 17/12 2stl but his TO's worry a bit, this was the sim he was making too many TO's in any of this seasons sim. Definitely can be happy, lost to Sixers which is ok without Buehler but didnt like the fact it was at home, we play poorly after a magnificant 11-0 start at home, too many losses lately, but Sixers are a good team so its fine. However 2 LOSSSES WERE TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE, against West's poorest team, and against the SSBA poorest team, that was just unacceptable, dunno what happened, it could have been an easy 5-1 sim if i havent lost to 2 of the league's worst teams.....GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR: Battle for the West continues however Title: Re: Sim 8 Discussion Post by: BlazersGM on June 21, 2006, 04:24:01 AM worst is, if Buehler was back, and if team had beaten Sixers at home and didnt lose against 2 worst teams sitting on last spot of SSBA in East and West, i would be sitting on #1 spot in West now with LAC, too bad, it was a great chance, so im really disappointed now with this sim.

You think losing to the highest scoring team in the league, having nearly the same record as you, without Buehler was unacceptable ? Then where do you rate giving the WORST team in the league one of it's 7 wins (in 59 tries) WITH Buehler ? complete desaster? ultimately horribly bad? Supercalifragi- listicexpialidociously f.....g ? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Title: Re: Sim 8 Discussion Post by: CelticsGM on June 21, 2006, 08:13:07 AM Better, muchos better.
5-1 just about meets my expectations. Plus beat 76ers and Magic, direct opponents in the playoff run. Overall the third best ppg- and the 2nd best topg-differential. Like that. Julius put up an fine sim, 12ppg (on 52% shooting, perfect from the line - watch that, Reed) and 7apg. Not bad for a ... ah, forget it. Just the opposing PGs shot 50% against him, but as long as he holds guys like Boblinger and Brice 8 to 9 points below their average i can take that. Great shooting from the whole team this sim. My starters averaged .499, my reserves .558 !!! That explains the 111ppg. And held opponents to 95ppg on 43%. Sure i'd like to keep them below 40%, but you win games like that too ... :D ... but one loss stings despite. Not that I lost to the Kings (although i feel like the only better team in the league still losing to them) - we all know TD and TMac can still do it on any given night - but that i won't get another chance against them. 99% of that team will retire and i doubt we both make it to the last games of the season. :moon: Title: Re: Sim 8 Discussion Post by: PacersGM on June 21, 2006, 08:32:41 AM ... but one loss stings despite. This is ridiculous. How can a team flucuate like this? Sim 1: 3-3 Sim 2: 5-1 Sim 3: 6-0 Sim 4: 3-4 Sim 5: 5-3 Sim 6: 4-4 Sim 7: 8-0 Sim 8: 1-5 This is getting stupider than stupid. Granted, went 1-3 without Max in the lineup...but then 0-2 with him back. Honestly, I hate this game, it's more frusterating than golf even, and if I oughta just quit before I have a heart attack. As streaky as I have been this season, I'm pretty well doomed come playoff time, as I will sweep or be swept. Title: Re: Sim 8 Discussion Post by: KingsGM-old on June 21, 2006, 08:59:50 AM Another strong sim, went 6-2. Should have stayed with Booth in lineup before, Collison experiment didn't work.
+20 vs the Mavs Dirk torched them with 46pts, Mcgardy witn great all around game 29pts, 7as, 7rebs. +31 vs the Mavs again Mcgrady with TRIPLE DOUBLE, 23pts, 10as, 14rebs and 4steals. Nick Collison 21pts and 6rebs, Anderson Varejao EXPLODED for 21pts and 8rens in only 23 minutes of action. Mike Bibby was only 2rebs shy of triple double, 13pts, 11as, 8rebs.Great team effort. +7 vs the Sonics Mcgardy 22pts, 3st, 7as, 4rebs and Gasol contributed as well with 16pts and 13rebs.! +8 vs the Celtics AND PART 1 OF THE PROPHETIC SWEEP HAS BEEN COMPLETED! I warned him, i tryed to tell him, i beg him not make me kill his team, but he didn't want to listen. He was just calling for a hard punishment and it came indeed! Dirk with a solid 29pts, 6as, 10rebs performance, Mcgrady was a all round moster again, 27pts, 5as, 10rebs. Gasol with 19pts, 12rebs as well. +4 vs the Wizards Close game but Dirk (32pts, 6as, 8rebs), Mcgrady (25pts, 3st, 4as) and Gasol (15pts, 9rebs) prevailed. Only couple of games behind the Clips for the 1st seed in the West. Title: Re: Sim 8 Discussion Post by: CelticsGM on June 21, 2006, 09:12:46 AM when did you play TD this year :lmao: it was the ghost of TD who uses the lifeless body of Dirk "i missed that damn FT that would have given us a chance to go up 3-0 in OT" N. I need to get an exorcist soon ... ;-) Quote +8 vs the Celtics AND PART 1 OF THE PROPHETIC SWEEP HAS BEEN COMPLETED! Gasol with 19pts, 12rebs as well Hey, ivan, nothing against your "rolling retiree tour" but how in the world did Nick Collison hold Boozer 13 points below his season average (as starter)? Booze got 20/12 in our first matchup against him, so i'll attribute this 8pt loss to his 5/10 performance. You sucker ... :bash: Good that i still have about an identical record with you while you still haven't gotten one injury day from your big 3. 8) Title: Re: Sim 8 Discussion Post by: RaptorsGM on June 21, 2006, 09:29:28 AM The ONLY good part of that disgrace was my rookie point, Justin Brown's play with Max out.
His 4 games as a starter: 13 points, 13 assists, 3 rebounds, 5-12 shooting 16 points, 8 assists, 8 rebounds, 7-14 shooting 19 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds, 7-18 shooting 10 points, 10 assists, 2 rebounds, 5-14 shooting For averages of: 14.5ppg, 10apg, 4.25rpg, 42% FG :bounce: Great to know that (a) he's a player and (b) he can step it up when Max goes down. Title: Re: Sim 8 Discussion Post by: SixersGM on June 21, 2006, 10:31:10 AM Its a bad sim for me.. Im planning to tweak my line-up.

Blazers failed to mention that their loss to the mighty ( :bods:) Spurs was with Eddie Uner sitting in street clothes. Kings in their excellant recap forgot this game: http://ssba.fbbleagues.com/boxes/80-2.html (http://ssba.fbbleagues.com/boxes/80-2.html) Otherwise it was a normal 3-5 sim with my starting PG missing the last 6 games after a 1-1 start. Very similar to sim 5 when my starting C went down after a 1-1 start. At least Uner will only be out 1 more game. They just see victories, losses are a blind spot they simply can't recognise, even if they wanted to. Believe me, if my Celtics would have won he just might have vanished from this board until September ... ;-) Title: Re: Sim 8 Discussion Post by: MavsGM on June 21, 2006, 02:13:45 PM :hail: to King Clardy. In eight games Clardy avg 8.375pts not like I need his scoring but it's a bonus, 14rpg and 2.75bpg at PF not his natural position. Again :hail: to King Clardy.
