Title: Sim 6 Up
Post by: NetsGM on June 15, 2006, 11:25:35 PM
Changes need to be made.  I'm not playing well right now.

Cavs with an OK 5-4 sim. Adams continues to play well.

Mehta was an all star.  And I'm looking at a Top 3 pick.  I guess that's a good sim :D

Another poor sim for these inconsistent-as-can-be Raptors.

Just 4-4. However, that included a win over the Nets, Heat and Pacers so I can't be too upset.

One of those loses was without the services of Chills, which is no fun.

Max started at PG for the Eastern squad, and led the game in assists.

happy with how Curtis Davis averaged 11.25 rpg in a 4 game sim. went 2-2. abrogast showed some life.

Nice.

Again my Celtics show some pride and do what they have to do, which is winning the winnable games. 4-1 sim with wins over Cavs, Pacers, Wizards and a loss to Brooklyn (btw, it's nice to wipe out the Pacers by 25, but i'd expect a little more from my starting and backup PG than 2 assists COMBINED  :tup:)

Boozer is still out but Griffin did reasonable well filling in at C, especially defensively (I was worried since he's undersized at 6'9"). Heck i even beat the Wizards when 35yr old Doleac started C and 34yr old Thomas started PF. That's ivanesque ...

(speaking of the Kings, who knew that BIBBY is the glue holding everyting together. 88ppg and 1-3 record - against Lakers & Nuggets - without him, and replacement PG Talbott actually did play very good !!!)

The Allstar weekend was a success story for my guys too. First my 2nd round draftee JULIUS SMITH led the Rookies over the Sophs by dishing out 10 assists, then Matrix assisted in a East win at the big-boys-game. Lot's of happy faces returning from Vegas.

Whats next? A lot of top teams will visit Boston next sim, as I will entertain Warriors, Clippers, Hornets (twice) and Raptors, as well as travel to Cleveland. Having played the 3rd fewest games so far - so the 2nd fewest losses in the league are easily explained - my schedule is pretty heavy for the rest of the season. With lot's of games coming I hope for a healthy team. Everything else will just follow ...

Sooo glad I only had 2 games... lost em both.

Udonis Haslem (starting SF) and Frank Hyatt (Back-up SF) were both out... 2 games in 10 days has allowed them to recover and now my roster is injury free and still at 24-19...

FACT: non of the top 4 league leaders in 3pt% took  part in the 3pt contests... last years champ Barton O'Connell not there either... strange or am I missing something...?

Palacio made the all-star team, the first Cavs all-star in a long time. Lundy was in the rookie game.

another fine sim, remained at #3 spot, 3-2 sim but all 5 games where on the road so its a great sim for me. Wetzel who
replaced injured Russell had a funny sim, played just 12mins but was shooting 67% from field and 100% from FT and 3PT.

@Wolves 108-99...nice win in Minnesota, Hoofa 29/11, Clement 20/6/9 3stl...guy is unbelievable.

@Suns 116-85...another nice away win...Hoffa dropped 28/17, Telf 19/13,Clement,Buehler..etc all the team actually played
good....of all 9 players who played only Hoffa and Bosh shooted below 50%.

@Mavs 94-100...3rd road game winning streak unfortunately didnt come.Hoffa got 28/16, Buehler 18/9 2stl 4blk, Clement
12/10/8...Telf had a bad game, probably that decided.

@Clippers 112-120...again a close loss away...game was decided by good Clipps defense which managed to FO Hoffa after
just 20 mins, Telf did great 22/12 4stl, Bosh 21/14 but Hoffa's presence Cunningham couldnt replace...he played poorly.

@Raptors 99-85...Finished with a good win in Canada...Hoffa had 20/13 but shot very poor, Clement, Bosh, Buehler where all
great...team shot poorly, just 40 % but did great defense.

Just Hoffa on AS,

Let's continue our winning sims...........good job guys.

My team played well this sim. It seems to be that they have suited well with the run and gun game. And I was pleased to see Goudin scoring 18points during the rookie vs sophomore game.

Damnit, I missed the DC  :x

Oh well, the Hornets are looking good leading the East. I will stick with the lineup I have now, Piatowski be damned.

Going down hill since Hump got injured.  Gave up most of the points to centers and PFs.

Dude, that whole All Star weekend thing is just a crapshoot. Don't worry about it. It has no importance what so ever.

At this point I would rather take 2-3 sim while beating the Hornets then 4-1, beating the Spurs, Lakers, Nuggs and losing to Hornets. Bibby got back at the right time just to beat one of the Easter Conf powerhouses. I like it.

Oh, and Talbott is the league's best kept secret ( :lol:). This mockster is a passing machine;

11as vs the Spurs
17pts, 9as, 5rebs vs the Nuggs
14as vs the Lakers

...winning games with him is just another story. :)

Let me tell you two secrets:

1) playing good in losing efforts is an attribute Talbott shares with 75% of fellow SSBA colleagues. That's hardly something to get ecstatic about ;-)

2) when you continue to lose to the Spurs' and Lakers' in ths league you won't have to worry about the Hornets', heck not even the Clippers' come playoff time. Big revelation, i know, but somewhere between the lines i had a gut feeling of some misconception on your behalf of winning "meaningfulness" ...
 :cheers:

The Hawks have a 4-3 sim and the second winning sim in a row.  I guess my FA acquisitions are finally beginning to gel and they are a decent team.  Too bad that I dug myself a 5-19 hole to start the season.  I hope for around .500 record in the second half of the season, show at least a little improvement from last season.

Don't you worry about my "misconception". I've lost game 7 in WCF at HOME 3 times so regular season record means very little to me at this point. I'm only interested in keeping up with the best teams in the league, L's against lesser teams (and specially without my first pg) is really not something that concerns me much.

Well, the Pistons have won 7 of their last 9 games...  And had their 1st All-Star in too damn many years to Remember: Steven Schmaltz...  Am I ever glad I didn't trade that guy...  His defense is kinda weak, but by the end of the season should be averaging 30+ PPG...  And, stupid me, I actually thought I might be in the play-off hunt now that I am only 2 games below .500...  Was I ever wrong...  #11 in the east, but I would be #7 in the west...
