Title: Re: signing current fa's Post by: MagicGM on June 06, 2006, 03:55:55 AM even if I sign him during the playoffs?
Title: Re: signing current fa's Post by: CelticsGM on June 06, 2006, 04:46:09 AM even if I sign him during the playoffs? of course not if you sign him during the playoffs. Then a bird year gets substracted from his total - and if he still has zero bird years it will be substracted from the next player on your roster alphabetically AFTER the signed one ... :!: Title: Re: signing current fa's Post by: NetsGM on June 06, 2006, 10:49:20 AM Lol.
Yes, you get 1 bird year for any player on your roster at the end of the season, regardless of when he was signed. I just wanted to suggest signing the Zydrunas' and ZhiZhi's of this league, for the alphabetical factor. Then rule ยง0815 would state that the first player alphabetically on the NEXT team alphabetically will be stripped from a bird year (unless it's the Sonics, where .... blablabla) ;-) Title: Re: signing current fa's Post by: HornetsGM on June 21, 2006, 01:10:26 AM Isn't ZhiZhi his first name? If so, I suggest that we modify the rule so that the player's hometown is the deciding factor rather than the last name when subtracting Bird years (in order to avoid confusion). In the event that the original player has 0 Bird years and is signed in the playoffs, the player whose hometown is farthest away from the team's home court should have his Bird years subtracted by 1. This leaves us with a problem regarding those players who have N/A listed in the hometown. Maybe we should have a vote as to how these individuals should be handled.

AND the geographical skills in this league would increase tremendously. Man, you are a GENIOUS !!! Title: Re: signing current fa's Post by: NetsGM on June 21, 2006, 01:29:58 AM lol
