At least I think.  I had to do this pretty quickly to leave for work on time.

Raptors had a decent training camp...no big losses, which in my mind means a good TC.

Robert Swift - Now an A+ defender. Very, very happy to have him as my starter.

Johnny Duncan - Stayed the same. That's cool.

Leocadio Garcia - Improved to a B+ defender...was always hoping to see more of an improvement from him before he fell to C potential...but he is 25 now.

Matej Klima - Lost a handle. Like he needed to get any worse.

George Boykins - Lost a handle, lost a rebound, but gained a potential. The handling is probably the least worrisome thing for a big man (especially one not very prone to turnovers), and I can survive a dip in rebounding with Swift in the frontcourt.

Billy Joe Kim - Did nothing but lose a potential. Was hoping to see some improvement from him or Duncan.

Luke Jackson - Gained a potential, everything else stayed the same, which is perfectly ok by me.

Roberto Dickau - Gained a defense. Can't believe this young man can't find a home somewhere else...he stays rooted to my bench, yet would be a 15-17ppg scorer with good handles and defense for another team. Also a very good rebounder for his position.

Josh Childress - Does nothing, which is fine by me. Look for the Raptors to have 2 all-league defenders on their team this year with Swift and Chills.

Micah Hunter - God Damn Micah, why do you have to do this to me? Micah becomes a B+/B- offensive player...likely good enough to score 20 if I have the balls to start him...which I think I do.

Xavier Doby - Rookie #1....Gains an outside shot and a rebounding but loses a potential...just good enough to stay rooted to the bench for an entire 4 year contract.

Max - This was bound to happen. After improving every TC, Max finally takes a break and shows no improvement....but the more important thing is no losses expect for potential. Great TC for Max in that he is still the 16 and 10 PG I want.

Dench - Improvement in rebounding (1), loss of potential. Will stay on the bench.

Julian Brown -- Rookie #2...Shows that his true potential is not what I hoped it would be, just a C. And doesn't improve at all.

Looking around the league...

Good TC for Trump of the Celtics.

Khoury of the Heat also has a good one, and Keogan becomes even more of a one-dimensional player.

The Nets complain before the leave, but Lincoln Lord becomes the best PG in the league.

The Knicks have an un-needed, terrible TC, but Marquez shows ROTY potential.

Gotta like the Wiz backcourt now.

The Hawks finally have a good offseason as Wade becomes a #1 option and Phelps and Wooden look good.

Radman, Swift and Livingston all show slight declines, making the Hornets prehaps slightly more vulnerable.

Palacio explodes for the Cavs.

Artest of the Pacers has a poor TC.

Rex Mehta of the Bucks looks like a future All-Star.

O'Connell continues to improve,

KG takes a big hit ratings wise, totally expected for a 36 year old. Wolves look like they will struggle this year.

Jamal Sampson...why did I ever let him get away? JDN..who the hell decided he was worth that kind of money?

Poor TC for the Jazz, will struggle to make playoffs.

Poor TC for the Warriors, as if they needed that...they might as struggle to make the playoffs a year after their Championship.

Thankfully Mike Redd takes a big dump in ratings, showing that the Clipps didn't get a major steal with the MLE.

After YEARS of collecting top 3 picks, the Lakers may FINALLY be ready for a playoff run.

Richard Roan also improves...could put up 25 this year.

As expected, pretty much every member of the Kings decides to sit out TC.

For the Cavs there were some ups, some downs, but more ups then downs so it was definitely a good TC overall...

Notes
- Palacio looks amazing. He went up 4 and is sure to have the starting spot, but there will be some competition. B-, A-, B+, B+ is real good.
- Strait, oh Strait, oh Strait. I had big hopes for him, but down 3?!? I was excpecting the opposite. It's not the end of the world though, as he kept his B potential and should still be able to put up 15 and 9 this season.
- Manning improved his defense, exactly what I needed.
- Following a disappointing season, Adams improved nicely to look like a very good player right now.
- Sylvester now has B+ rebounding, which is crazy for a SF. Still no offense, but his ratings across are pretty sick. What player has had his combination of handles and rebounding?
- Fisher is looking awesome. Am I glad I signed him.
- My rookies, O'neil and Lundy, disappointed big time, doing pretty much nothing. They both kept their B potential, however.

My rookie, goudin, the one my brother picked for me, got a bad TC. Tyler stayed the same.. Fuqua did have the best improvement among my roster. And the rest... im too tired to list it here.. Its already early morning here,, hehe

My tc was alright I guess. Nothing special.

Robertson-no changes
Randolph-no changes
Mihm-no changes (yay)

Lewis-lost 1 handle, 1 defense but gained 1 potential so i think he has a few more years at the same ratings which is pretty good

Martin-gained 1 handle and lost nothing which is great for his age

Williams-lost 2 defense and is now my backup

Bailey Snow-Turned out to be a great fa pickup and is now my starting pg. He gained 1 outside, and gained 1 potential

Lol, i had no idea there was TC until i haven't looked my roster.

Wow! I'll actually compete!

Tmac back to A- defense, rest of the offense stayed the same. Another great for him is coming.

Mike Bibby, I'm satisfied. He's pretty much the same.

Gasol lost on rebounding, hm...but ok.

Dirk is now A- defense. Oh well, outscoring is my game anyway.

Booth...damn you.

Marbury, wow, i didn't expect such a huge fall. You bastard.

Pietrus improven on defense.

....And....Ronald Talbott!! 6th pick of the second round (!!) is now A- handles and A- outside! I can't belive.

I don't know. Redd will still be a good backup. But that is not the major issue... what is more important is that you missed Maggette's improvement after I offered him a very nice 2 year extension. His 18 ppg scoring gained 2 ratings!
Also Chandler and Brand improved. Gordon gained potential.
I am very happy with this TC! Good one for the Clippers!

It was an OK TC for the Mavs.  Our big guys did bad but LeBron and Melo both gain outside touch.

The Pistons FINALLY had a decent TC with an overall +2...

Steven Schmatlz:  +1 Inside, +1 Rebounding, -1 Handles...  His rating are definately coming around and should be a 25 and 10 center...

Eddy Curry:  -1 inside, but +1 Defense and +1 Rebounding...

Kenneth Rivera: +1 Handles and -1 Defense...  Not what I wanted to see...

Patrick Kent:  -1 Inside, +1 Defense...  Still has "A" potential...

Brian Cook:  Injured List for him...

Blake Monroe:  -1 inside, +1 Handles and +1 Rebounding...

Vince Carter:  STAYED THE SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Richard Jefferson:  -1 Handles and -1 Defense...

Jarvis Hayes:  +1 Handles...

Antonio Turkoglu:  +1 Inside...

Hunter Summitt:  -1 Outside...

Oscar Jeannette:  SAME...

Caron Butler:  -1 Inside...

Alvin Scheck:  +1 Outside and +1 Defense...  Very Happy with this one...

Jason Terry:  -1 Handles...

Overall I am happy with this TC, and hope to prove the skeptics wrong by making the play-offs...

The Hawks cap off a good off-season with a decent TC.  Dwayne Wade looks to be in his prime and a good scorer now to go along with his excellent defense.  Phelps improved his handles and will be a good #2 option.  James Fisher improved 1 in handles, will be a good backup behind Wooden who improved is outside and handles.  Diop led the dissapointments with a decrease in both defense and rebounding.  Curtis Davis and Sandy Watson, my first round picks, both stayed the same again.  All in all I'm pleased with my off-season but am still a long ways from the playoffs.

Finally got around to looking at my TC in depth.

Dial: No change
Arroyo: -1 handles, -1 def, -1 reb.  -3 overall.  huge disappointment.
Darko: -1 handles.  No biggie
Gooden: -1 outside.  Now almost purely defense and rebounding.
Okafor: -1 inside, +1 outside, rest same.  After looking at it, not the biggest deal.  Might be time to drop him to 3rd scorer though.  First time in his career he's not an A- inside scorer
Pettit: +1 inside.  Absolutely huge.  Might lead the league this year
Diaz: +1 def.  big f'in deal.
Lieberman: +1 inside.  big f'in deal
Salmons: -1 def.  No big deal with Kundla here.
Lord: +1 outside, +1 def.  Very nice.  Among the elite pg's in the league.
Dunleavy: -1 handles, -1 defense.  Not too worried, but might be replaced by Kundla, either this year or next.
Dalembert: no change.  Very good considering his age.
Battier: -1 outside.  Not too bad with the addition of kundla
Kundla: +1 handles.  He'll likely be my #2 pg with Arroyo's drop.
Lo: No change.

-3 overall.  It'll be interesting to see what the drop in Okafor (inside) and Dunleavy (defense) do to my team.

Title: Re: Training Camp Run

Biggest Changes:
Carlos Clement (Blazers) and Julius Smith (Celtics) both with +5, turning themselves into servicable players.  Palacio +4 (Cavs) put himself into possible very good/great player status.

Marbuy and Dixon with the worst (-4), followed by KG, Kobe, Ricky Davis and Ron Artest at -3.

Clement, I believe, has a total +9 with this TC and the last one. I don't think anyone has improved so much before over two consecutive training camps. Blazers was smart to not trade him to me when I made an offer for him.

Edit: Turned out it was only 7 over the last two, 9 over the last 3. Still, very nice.

At least let it be something meaningful. The dude improved 1 total rating, damn. Actually, 0 if you count his loss in rebounding.

I think he will put that up easy, he might score a little more depending on how you run your offense and stuff.  He used to score about 17 for me in an outside oriented offense.

Looks pretty ugly for the nets...
Ahem, what was your initial response about?

Pettit and Lord got better (like if Pettit needed more offensive skills), Samy stayed the same, Emeka lost a little inside and only old Dunleavy lost defense. Man, that's just great for you. A somewhat veteran starting five WINNING one net rating in total.

Talbott? C- defense PG. Ugly. He won't see a minute if Ivan follows his standards. Don't think a player lower than B defense ever saw meaningful minutes for him.

...
Vince Carter:  STAYED THE SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...
so you really can be hopeful that torrid 10/3/2 season gets an encore ...

j/k. I like your team and you did good (apart from those picks ...)

Biggest Changes:
Carlos Clement (Blazers) and Julius Smith (Celtics) both with +5, turning themselves into servicable players.
...
And for the reigning college player of the year Julius, the #1 pick in round 2 (i'll rub that in more often this season) it might not be over, as this 5'10" wiz is still listed as SG ...

And finally Carlos Clement is one of the draftees showing little in College (career high 17/8/6 ?), had only potential as a rookie and still is all ratings. Guess I should trade for him ...

Ahem, what was your initial response about?

Loss in offense for Emeka, who has always had problems with offensive efficiency, and a loss in defense and handling with Dunleavy, who I felt was the missing piece to my team.

Pettit's gain is pretty much inconsequential to me.  He's been hovering between a B- and B+ inside his whole career.  I'm guessing when he's been a B- he's been a high B-, and when he's been a B he's been a low B.  So I'm guessing there's not much difference.

I hadn't yet seen Lord.  I literally put things up, looked at it for 10 seconds, then ran so I wouldn't be late for work.

Up and down for the Rockets...

+'s
Abdur-Rahim now B inside, B+ defense, B rebounding = very nice and about time
Gregory Holman improves defense to B+: Binside, B+defense B- rebounding = more much needed defense
Edmundo James gets some inside game: B- inside, B+ rebounding
John Drake improves his outside shot to B, defense still sucks
Barton O'Connell is the best PG ever to play the game now with A+ outside, A+ handles and B+ defense!
Eddie Crawford imprves handle and defense to A+ and C+ respectively

-'s
Shane Nesterovich now suck losing his B's in inside and defense to B-'s
J-Rich lost some defense to B+
Frank Hyatt lost inside to B+

True...

Hope that his potential is still true (B), it would be awesome if that defense keeps creeping up!

Some obeservations from the Celtics training camp:

My point guards did fine, rookie Julius Smith improved 5 ratings (outside, handling, defense) and now looks too good to stick him at 3rd backup. He'll get his chance. Trump too made another leap and even Nathaniel got his handling up. Reed was the only one to stay put, so he'll start for me.

At the wing same story. Tower got his rebounding up while SJax, Stockton, and Schabinger didn't have visible improvements, only Marion lost some defense at SG (but is still A+ at SF) ... my only lost rating at PG, SG & SF.

The frontcourt took a hit though, but with the average age being 32 that's not unexpected. Bright spots were the most important piece Boozer, who didn't change, and Ronny Roof who got his rebounding up. Griffin lost some offense but the real blow came with Etan and Doleac, both losing 3 ratings. Let's see how this influences their performance.

So from my preferred starting lineup of Reed - Marion - Schabinger - Thomas - Boozer only Thomas took a dive, the rest stayed the same. The (improved) depth is there too and ready to contribute.

Can't hide my excitement for this upcoming season, anything short of the best record in the league will be some disappointment ...

jesus...........
CENTERS:
Hoffa improved his defense altough i would prefer he got back his A-inside as i lack great shooter.

Cunningham stayed same for like 5th season in a row.

Tippet improved D but he's useless shit.

POWER FORWARDS:
Ricardo same which is great

Bosh same as Ricardo, great also.

Buehler improved outside altough i was hoping inside.

SMALL FORWARDS:
Houbregs remained the same, he can go to hell.

DerMarr suprised me +2, outside and rebs improved.

Myers is a missed project.

Rodrigues not, +2 TC for him but still a long way to become any role player on this team, he is 19 still with A pot still so there's time.

SHOOTING GUARDS:
Mac Wetzel THE WORST PLAYER SSBA HAD EVER SEEN

Cofield this rookie improved nothing, he'll be cutted most likely.

Carlos Clement i just love this guys improvements in last 2 TCs after a debacle when he came into the league, outside improved +2, handling +1 and defense +1, potential back to A, the only real winner this TC, he secured his SG spot.

POINT GUARDS:
Telfair same altough +1 improvement in offense would have been great but well, Telf is still great.

Mark Bird remained the same, he'll be a great backup tough.

THIS YEARS WINNER : Carlos Clement (Again) +5
LOSER : None (useless crap players wholl never come to play dont count)

POINT GUARDS:

I love that guy, after first TC i tought he was a missed project then i moved him to PG before TC last season and he had a good bench player for me, i believe it was a +3 or +4 TC, just know for sure he was the biggest suprise.....and well now this season i moved him again to PG and i was expecting the same, and he blowed me away with 5+ and getting pot back to A, on my team lacking a good SG he'll fit in perfectly now as a starter and hopefully produce same or even better numbers he was producing off bench last season.

actually one guy in some sim league a long ago told me it works almost always with SGs or SFs who're shorter (6'5 and below), actually looking now, Clement seems to be playing SG role at college but his handlings are improving every TC so in reality he looks like to be a good PG maybe after 1,2 more TCs

Never ever forget former #2 draft pick (2007 draft) C Brent Mercer.
He lost a total of 8 ratings before finally improving on OUTSIDE in his 5th TC. Never improving again therafter he still lounges on the FA list somewhere because every year someone says "i can't believe this guy can't play a little after all" ...

Mercer was a BC offensive player, B defender and B- rebounder.  If I remember right he was a computer selection, so he shouldn't have been the #2 pick, but it's absolutely criminal what he's done to himself.  Talk about the worst work ethic ever :)
