Good choice by him as well. He originally had his offer as a max for 3 years then switched it to 5. Still shocked he got him, considering the Warriors offered him 140 mil.
Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: KingsGM-old on May 21, 2006, 01:23:28 PM Lol. Warriors lost Hinrich for nothing! He's not going to be happy.
i'm satisfied. resigned most of my fillers. Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: SunsGM on May 21, 2006, 01:29:37 PM Very, Very excited to get Hinrich, I'm shocked I got him, almost cant believe it. now i feel my backcourt rotation is set, now i need to add a couple of bigs.
Bods: do our offers still carry over to the next day with this new system? Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: CavsGM on May 21, 2006, 01:51:22 PM Re-signed Sweetney to a good contract and got a nice young talent in Fisher. Not bad.

Bods: do our offers still carry over to the next day with this new system? Yes. In fact, if you go to the free agency page you'll still see your active offers (signed free agents should have been automatically removed). Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: SunsGM on May 21, 2006, 04:38:41 PM Yeah, sorry, i saw that after the page updated. Thanks!
Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: HawksGM on May 21, 2006, 04:56:14 PM I'm thrilled to get Wooden and Holton. I feel both will be great in my attempt to field a defensive team. Wooden was on the Hornets last season, who made it to the finals. Holton will block about 2.5 a game for me and gives me a defensive shot blocker that I haven't had since Stromile back in season one. These were the 2 I thought I would get and I still have a couple more out there that are potential additions to the Hawks.
Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: KingsGM-old on May 21, 2006, 05:09:19 PM Ah, what a beauty, endless MLE offers.... :)
Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: HawksGM on May 21, 2006, 05:10:21 PM bods: How much time did this new method take off of your day 1 FA time?
Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: GoldenStateGM on May 21, 2006, 05:42:36 PM I think it is absolute load of crap I lost Hinrich.
I think it is obvious that the loyalty, greed, and play for a winner numbers mean absolutely nothing, considering Hinrich's 88 loyalty... But, well done, Suns... You got a great, great player. A real leader, and a real winner. Glad to get Ahye, he is young, with potential, and has excellent shot percentages when given a chance. Also glad to keep Holt, at a decent price, especially since he is noy my starter... lol Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: NetsGM on May 21, 2006, 05:48:15 PM Quote bods: How much time did this new method take off of your day 1 FA time? Probably cut it in half easily. Quote I think it is obvious that the loyalty, greed, and play for a winner numbers mean absolutely nothing, considering Hinrich's 88 loyalty... Yeah? Did you see what Stro Swift (who still put up 15/7 last year) ASKED for? The stro swift of 71 loyalty, 6 greed? Kirk's going to make more in the 5 years of his current contract than he would have in the first 5 years of your contract. Shocking, yes. But not completely unheard of. Besides, I'm sure the ratings mean more to some players than others. On some I think the ratings did affect their decision. On others, not so much. Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: CelticsGM on May 21, 2006, 06:08:50 PM Kirk's going to make more in the 5 years of his current contract than he would have in the first 5 years of your contract. Shocking, yes. But not completely unheard of. Besides, I'm sure the ratings mean more to some players than others. On some I think the ratings did affect their decision. On others, not so much. Now wait a moment, couldn't the Warriors offer more to Kirk than anyone else?So if they tried to get him cheap(er) based on his loyalty that strategy didn't work. This is bad luck, most would have done the same (unless they KNEW - like me - how badly the Suns were after a PG, and Kirk's the best on the table) But I wonder what his resign offer was. With 33 greed i doubt he asked for a max contract in the first place so the Warriors might have blown 2 chances here ... 8-) Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: GoldenStateGM on May 21, 2006, 06:24:40 PM Started him at 14 million, with his 88 loyalty, for 7 years...
And he never offeerd a resign, another reason why the loyalty was useless.. Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: MavsGM on May 21, 2006, 06:30:16 PM Got Garrett Ward for MLE now I have too many PGs. :bash:
Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: NetsGM on May 21, 2006, 06:33:02 PM Hey guys, made a few minor edits:
http://www.phillyarena.net/ssba_pages/freeagents.php First, there's no longer a "cancel offer" box in the big list of FA's. If you need to cancel, do so with the box at the top of the list where it displays all your current free agents. Second, there's now a "Custom FA" option. Basically, there will be times where a guy who's legitimately a free agent isn't listed in the list. This will most often happen when a guy has been posted in the cuts/signings thread inbetween sims. For example, Marco Jaric is a FA who you should be able to make an offer to. However, he won't be in the database until after I run the next sim. So...Now you can enter in "Marko Jaric" in the text box and make an offer for him. Keep in mind, when it goes to pull up all his info (ratings, age, etc), it won't be able to (since it's pulling that info from the database that he's not in). But at least now you can make that offer. Please keep in mind, DO NOT USE THIS IF THE PLAYER IS LISTED IN THE DATABASE! It's only if he's not listed in the big table. Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: CelticsGM on May 21, 2006, 06:35:11 PM Started him at 14 million, with his 88 loyalty, for 7 years... I start to feel really sorry for you. Stuff like that kills teams. And he never offeerd a resign, another reason why the loyalty was useless.. I mean what times are we heading to if the STARTING PG from the DEFENDING CHAMP wit 88 loyalty does not resign with his team anymore? Did Kirk even LOOK on the Suns roster before signing? Will the real Kirk probably pull something like that crap on my Bulls too? I need answers on this ... :( :( :( Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: HawksGM on May 21, 2006, 07:41:47 PM He wants to do it without Dirk, like Kobe wants to do without Shaq in real life.
Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: MagicGM on May 21, 2006, 07:45:31 PM hey, bods. can you re-check because IIRC I offered Al J only 6 years.
