Wiz, you did kick ass. your pick is up to 20th overall :(

C's pick is 6th

Lakers pick is 8th

My pick is 12th

I'll take it.

Roster pages are not up yet.

Everything's up, just waiting on a few player profiles to finish.

The GM check-in has also been updated:
http://ssba.phillyarena.net/files/check-in.htm

There are a few GM's who I know are active (BucksGM) but aren't posting in the depth chart threads.  Even if you want yours to stay the same, please post same, so I can mark you in as checked in.

Nets went 3-5 this sim.  There's now a 3 way tie for the worst record in the league.  Boozer's injured for 9 days.  Good.  Although knowing my luck Aaron williams will go nuts, like he did for 24 pts, 16 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 blocks in the win against the Hornets.

With an active GM the bulls went 3-2.  That's a good team that should not be in the position they are.

I really feel sorry for the Sixers.  Tim Duncan's hurt.  AGAIN.

Cleveland Cavs for disappointment of the league.

Cassell goes down and the Wolves in 3 in a row.  If there's one thing that team has it's pg depth.

And where did Pape Sow come from?  He's been a consistent 12/7.

Why can't I see it? Everything is still the same as from last sim...

Title: Sim 8 Discussion
Post by: RaptorsGM on February 27, 2005, 08:43:36 PM
yup, I have 4.

Anyway, man, why have I been hiding Greg Ostertag all this long??

Look at Erving johnson, the guy I claim off waivers. First game getting any minutes, he puts up 17 and 10 vs the Suns.

Carter had a couple good games.

31 and 8 vs Pacers (106-92 win)
33 and 8 vs Blazers (91-83 win)
22 and 11 vs the Kings (96-86 BIG win)

I was happy with Welsch and Banks as my two new guys.

Jazz are 5-6 since the arrival of Larry Hughes despite improving in some key areas needed (17th to 10th in 3P%; 23rd to 17th in APG).

I am:

2nd in RPG
2nd in SPG
2nd in BPG
4th in FT%
6th in PPG
8th in oTOPG
10th in 3P%

BUT...

I am:

21st in oPPG
21st in oFG%
18th in TOPG
17th in APG

apparently my weaknesses really outweigh my strengths.

I put PJ Brown at PF and moved Kirilenko to his more natural positoin of SF despite his 20ppg, 10rpg, 2 spg, 3 bpg. I now have Richard Jefferson backing up SG and SF.

I have all the components it seems, the only thing i could think of is that I'm still pretty young.

I've found that young teams really struggle on the road.  You're like 11-18 on the road.  I'd say youth probably has something to do with it.

I like how mow core has been playing, it seems as though they get better every sim. These are the better games each player has had. All are young and developing and will get better. I look forward to next season.

Stat-wise my team is doing really well, it's that win-loss record that's getting me...

Kirilenko:
18 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 1 block
23 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks
30 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks
4 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 3 blocks (2/15 fg yikes)

Kidd:
12 points, 8 rebounds, 13 assists, 2 steals
14 points, 4 rebounds,  17 assists, 3 steals
16 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals
23 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assists

Hughes:

10 points, 2 rebounds, 4 steals
16 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steals
11 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals
16 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals

Okur:
6 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block
19 points, 5 rebounds, 4 blocks (fouled out)
6 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block
15 points, 12 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 blocks

Jefferson:
19 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal
5 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists
14 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists
2 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal

PJ Brown:
11 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal
8 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 blocks
16 points, 7 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block
2 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block

I noticed RJ was a little inconsistent while PJ was pretty consistent off the bench (the last game he had less minutes), so PJ is now a starter, and RJ is now (hopefully) a spark off the bench. This actually may be better, I take a scorer away that helps my overall chemistry and my defense improves which is a much needed thing considering my oPPG ranking. It also allows booth to move up a spot in the rotation which also helps my defense and now Kirilenko plays in his more natural position and I can take advantage of his versatility offensively as well as defensively

Hornets remain tops in the east. One injury in my backcourt will pretty much destroy my chances though. Lost to the Nets in my last game even though they didn't have Boozer :?

Yes that is exactly what I was thinking. I am 8-17 on the road, while 20-9 at home.  I had a bad sim... went 3-7 and I believe I shoulda won at least 3 more games. I think it is the young team and the tough schedule (15 games in 15 days!!!)

Tough loss to the Kings and a dissapointing loss to the Nuggets on day 80.

We have a chance to do so. But they are a hell of a team with him in the lineup.

Dammit I went 3-3 this sim, I can't risk NOT being the worst team in the NBA, I need my first overall pick locked!!

And I think Shaq dropped 58 on my team :?  Eddy Curry has to work harder than that if he wants a big contract  :)
