Celtics have accepted the trade.

Pleasure doing business with you.

I think this was one hell of a steal for me. Goggs expires, Welsch is actually a decent enough SG, Banks is a work in progress, and a top 7 pick?

Whoa. I only got 2 offers for Mo Pete to begin with. He'll be a player without a Vince or a Finley stealing his minutes, but he wont be that good.

WOW!

I wanted Mo Pete, but not this much. Good job Raptors, Celtics are you related to mo Pete or have some kinda of personal reasons for this trade?

Not a top 10 pick, that's for sure.

Oh well. Maybe after these last two trades, BBJ expects his team to win.

I figured since Danny Ainge can tank the real Celtics then I should have the right to tank the fictional Celtics. No other reason...

PS...the coke was cut with baby powder, now the inside of my nostrils are as smooth as a baby's behind.

Geez, one thing I hate people do in sims is tanking.

Mavs: don't take what he says too literally.

Yeah, actually don't take it seriously at all.

If he was trying to tank, why would he send me his pick??

Exactly!!!

Why would anyone tank then trade their pick?!

This is horrible for the Celtics and I have to believe either 1 of 2 thigns 1) The Celtics GM is horrible and needs some professional help, or 2) The Celtics GM is a close personal friend/relative of Mo Pete and has great affection for him thus leading him to crave him on his roster....

Guys, Mo Pete is actually a plaer, with decent potential.

It's not like he's Jerome Moiso.

Mo Pete's a dime a dozen.

And B potential means he's unlikely to be significantly more than that.

There are 20 better prospects in the draft than MoPete.

Well, obviously I agree with you there.

I would have done the deal without a pick, probably. But if I get a lottery pick thrown at me, I take it.

BBJ is a genius. He must have a plan.

Sssh....if you keep saying that, it'll be hard for me to keep pretending that I'm a rube.

Why I did it (public statement): Mo Pete is a decent player with a respectable outside game and B potential. With Davis being moved to Philly, I needed to find a guard to supplement McKie and I dare venture that a McKie-MoPete combo is better than the Davis-Welsch one I was running previous.

What hurt was giving up the pick. Granted I realize it'll most likely be a top-10 pick, but what was necessary (or at least in my mind) was finding that guard. Welsch was an extraneous player with Korver coming over, so it was more like I traded my pick to the Raps anyway.

Plus, I just made a smart move to rid myself of Blount's contract. Maybe I got a little money-hungry and a little excited with all that money freed up after this year. A guy can make a stupid move now and then, right ;)

Why I actually did it (in cryptogram): Drxcvx bmpg brxxrt corx altx WiDxrx ypss qpr uic

Hmm. well, first we talked about Bosh for Blount and the pick. You were not willing to do that. :)

Then we started with Googs, Banks Welsch and a 08 first, and somehow worked our way to a 06 first.

I schooleded you.
