Title: Sim 10 discussion (and a suggestion)
Post by: CelticsGM on April 17, 2006, 08:49:42 AM
I'd like to start with a suggestion: Since this is easter weekend and quite a few GMs are on short vacation breaks, would it be possible to extend the trading deadline until Wednesday, simming only until day 99 today ?

I had trouble getting some deadline deals working because of GMs who are away ...

Otherwise i'm as excited for this coming sim as i've been in a long time. These coming games will define the season for the Celtics, if we're contender or pretender.

I'm pretty sure that today is only days 91-99. Its posted in the calander section that Way. So we'll probally have a couple of extra days to make deadline deals.

Well, all I can say is that will be a true dissapointment if the Warriors are not in the Finals this year.
9-1 sim, leading the Western Conference by 5 games, with 12 left to play.
And Dirk deceided he wanted his scoring title back, and had 3 50 points games in the sim.

BTW, nice update to the forums page :)

wow...nice forum..its good to have something new... although the smiley's arent working :)
got a nice run for the heat.. a 6-1 run that includes top teams like the nets, cetlics and pacers i have the 6th spot in the eastern conference now.... everybody is playing great... especially ivan piatkowski who averages 12 ppg this sim off the bench...he might be a 6th man nominee.. averaging 8.3 ppg 3 rpg 2.3apg 0.8spg 0.1bpg 0.7topg  in 18 minutes with good shooting from the FG, FT and 3pt line...

i really like what molina and holton did in guarding emeka...who had a bad game with 8 turnovers and 5 out of 16 from the field with no blocks and steals, although he had a great time rebounding the ball with 19....

the competition in the east is still tight... its pretty exciting to see after every sim :)

strong 5-1 sim...making a good push the second half of the year...reminds me of my title years where i started off poor, finished off well and then inflicted some damage in the playoffs. Nice layout

I like the new layout, but all the emoticons are the red x error thing for me.

This team is playin so much better with Bibby as  a third option. I should have done that before, Iggy is doin the same as a non - option but the team is just playin better with Bibby getting some touches.

In other news, Duncan may be old as hell, but he's still one of the top players in the league;

*45pts, 10rebs, 3blocks, just mahnadled the Clippers
*30pts, 13rebs vs the Sixers
*36pts, 18rebs, 5as vs the Grizzlies
*16pts, 16rebs, 3blocks, 5steals vs the Suns
*27pts, 20rebs vs the Mavs

He's just a monster.

Guess while it's too early to call the Celtics contender I feel we're on a nice track.

6-3 sim with some nice games, including a win over the Hornets (Lenard outplaying Stro big time), a strange beating from the Nets where we held them to 35% shooting, and some tough losses to Clipps and Heat, both coming in the 4th quarter. Otherwise a flawless performance winning all other home contests and a 27-4 home record.

PG Alan Reed did a fine job. 16ppg (48%), 8apg only 1.4TO per and holding opp PGs like Harrsi, Lord, Boblinger, Livi, Gordon to 14ppg on 40%.
SG with a starting assignement did fine too. 15ppg and 54% on trifectas plus 2.2 steals (and great D against anyone not named Keogan)

I like this team, we're ready for more ...
 :D

Nice first sim for me, going 4-1.Although current season stage makes those victories pretty much meaningless.Already looking toward Draft and offseason...
