(and yes, this time it's up before posting). Title: Sim 5 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on April 05, 2006, 11:16:14 PM The last time I lost was the nixon administration, I believe.
22 straight. This is getting ridiculous. Oh yeah, and during this 31-3 start. Not ONE POTW or POTM. Ridiculous. My top 2 scorers shoot over 50% from the field. Pettit at 33 ppg, 50% shooting, 46.5% from 3 pt. Lord at 20.8 ppg, 50.3% shooting, 42.1% 3pt. over 5/1 assist to turnover. Okafor (best 3rd scorer in the league) at 20.4 ppg, 14.1 rpg, 3.8 apg, 4.1 bpg, 1.2 spg, 2.5 topg. That's 5.3 blocks/steals per game (is that tops in the league?) with 14 boards and 20 ppg. hot damn. Title: Sim 5 Discussion Post by: MagicGM on April 05, 2006, 11:16:45 PM 3-2 damn
Title: Sim 5 Discussion Post by: MagicGM on April 05, 2006, 11:17:52 PM dwight 51 and 14 performance came in a loss.
Title: Sim 5 Discussion Post by: BlazersGM on April 05, 2006, 11:26:34 PM Nets are really sick team this season, and my change of tactics finally showed me some interesting things, next sim should be a barrier that will ship Blazers to higher grounds.
Title: Sim 5 Discussion Post by: HornetsGM on April 06, 2006, 12:14:57 AM Thank God Livingston's TO's are coming back down to earth :!:
Title: Sim 5 Discussion Post by: HornetsGM on April 06, 2006, 12:16:22 AM hey Magic, would you mind stacking your sig rather than putting it lengthwise? It's kind of stretching out the screen for me...

Raptors 113 Nuggs 106 -- Melo was able to drop 30 and newcomer Kim had 18 as we shot 50% from the floor in the win. Swift had 17 and 11, and Max had a fantastic all-around game with 15 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds. Chills had 15 and 9 and Tony Parker had 11 in 13 minutes off the bench. Blazers 117 Raptors 84 -- Ouch, trounced hard by the Blazers. Hoffa dropped 46 and 16 on his former team. Melo answered with 32, and again Parker showed up with 15 off the bench. Max had 10 points, 10 assists and Johnny Duncan grabbed 10 boards. Raptors 106 Clipps 83 -- Huge win over such a good team. Melo dropped 23 and 8, and Chills had 20 and 5 as they carried the offensive load. Max added 17 points, 14 assists and 7 rebounds to earn player of the game honours. Swift had 17, 6 and 5. Kim had 16 points and 14 boards in a great game. Duncan grabbed 10 boards in limitied minutes. Wiz 116 Raps 98 -- The Wiz had 3 frontcourt players go for 20-10. Melo was able to get 36, 8 and 5 in the loss. Max had 15 points and 12 dimes. Kim scored 13 and grabbed 7 in just 19 minutes before fouling out. Swift had 10 points and 12 boards, and Duncan grabbed 14 boards off the bench. Raptors 112 Rockets 100 -- Melo's 36 and 9 led the way, with a strong effort from other members of the team. Max had 17 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds. Chills had 17 points and 10 rebounds. Duncan also had a double double with 16 points and 10 boards. Raptors 107 Sonics 71 -- Ouch, spanked the Sonics here, some atonement for that earlier loss to the Blazers. Melo had 26 points and 8 rebounds, and Kim had his best game as a Raptor, scoring 24 points on 9-12 shooting and grabbing 16 boards for POTG honours. Chills added 21 points and 12 rebounds. Max had 12, 10 and 6. Swift added 11 and 11. Raptors 105 Spurs 100 -- Matchup of the trade just made. Gasol scored 28 points, but was outmatched by former teammate Melo who dropped 38 to go with his 10 rebounds. Chills added 16, and Kim had 14 and 14 along with 3 blocks on Gasol and company. Dench had a rare offensive outburst, scoring 11 points in 11 minutes. Hornets 125 Raptors 119 -- Would have loved to steal this game. The matchup of Melo and Yao, the two superstars traded for each other. Melo scores 49 points, and Yao answers with 44 points and 14 rebounds. Max added 16 points and 12 assists. Vladman burned Chills for 28 points, clearly the difference maker. Raptors 107 Pistons 77 -- Good way to end a sim, with Melo dropping 36 on 14-21 shooting. Max added 18 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Swift had 15 points and 12 rebounds while Kim had 14 and 11. Duncan grabbed 13 boards off the bench. Title: Sim 5 Discussion Post by: RaptorsGM on April 06, 2006, 12:37:08 AM Overall, I guess none of this really matters given the amazing run by the Nets. Kudos to Bods for not breaking up his team - and giving us all a model for what makes a dominate team.
Congrats go out to Melo for FINALLY getting some recognition as player of the week. Chills looks good as a 3rd option. And with the addition of the Knicks Pick, as soon as the trade is finalized, which it will be tommorow, well, this team is really gonna be a force in the next couple of seasons. Anyway, it's better now, thanks Magic! Title: Sim 5 Discussion Post by: CelticsGM on April 06, 2006, 04:52:52 AM another 4-2 sim, including a sweet road win over the Clippers (scoring 121 on 55%, wow!), and of course the usual blowout from the Magic.
Somehow this team overachieves and doesn't slow down (as i had expected any minute now). Interesting facts: My starting PG Reed with quite a sim: First this: Have you ever seen a ZERO assist game from a starting PG playing 33 minutes ? (http://ssba.phillyarena.net/boxes/44-3.html) and then a coming-out game against the Sixers Boblinger, getting 29/9 on 12-14 shooting (5-5 trifectas) with just one giveaway. Only fitting he went down injured afterwards. RONNY ROOF. I was mildly diappointed seeing i lost to the Spurs (sorry, Doug), but then realized both starting and backup PF missed the game (for personal reasons?) and RONNY ROOF (C 24 6'10'' 269 C+ C- F+ D+ C+ C) started and played unbelievable: Against the Spurs Gasol he had 17/11/1 with 3 blocks on 8-11 shooting (of course Gasol had 31/13 on 50%) Against the Sixers John Tyler (!) he had 13/14/6 (yup, 6 assists and 2 TOs with F+ handling) and 2 blocks (on 8-23 shooting, ouch) while holding the reigning Rookie of the Year to 11/12 on 3-10 shooting and 5 turnovers. Guess my scouts did a fine job here ... Overall, still the 3rd best record in the league and safely holding onto the 4th spot in the East !! :? Title: Sim 5 Discussion Post by: SpursGM-old on April 06, 2006, 11:22:14 AM Went 4-5 after finally acquiring a big man who can play inside. However it started off 0-4 as Richardson went down in the first game (and will miss 25 more days - sorry, Rockets) and JDN became my starting SF. Also 2 of the losses came at the hands of the Clippers.
With two new starters it took the team a week to adjust. In week 2 of the sim went 4-1 with the only loss a close one to the Raptors. Beat the Mavs, Celtics, Kings & Wolves. Title: Sim 5 Discussion Post by: BlazersGM on April 06, 2006, 04:15:05 PM made some experiments, went 4-4, Buehler droped defense by 3pt on SG wow, will see next sim if that had any influence on results cause ill leave same tactics one more sim.
Started getting trashed by Hornets 73-106 in New Orleans, nothing much to talk about there. +33 vs Raptors, now thats nice, i really love how this team plays at home this season, Buehler despite with B- defense on SG did great job on Melo(11-30), Hoffa had one of his usual sick games posting 46/16 2blk, Telf added 15/8, Bosh 15/8, Tsakalidis with 19 boards, that guy is really good !!!!!! +27 vs Wolves, now this made me happy, i always lose to Wolves but as team is playing great at home, this season everybody is going down in Portland.Team did great defense on all Wolves players, Buehler led all-scorers with 23/14, Hoffa a modest 22/10 2 stl and blk game, Telf 11 dishes and just 8 shots. +12 vs Lakers in Hollywood, Hoffa 32/16 3stl 1blk, Telf 14/9, the rest were below 10pt. Home loss to Rockets by 20, now that hurted, Telf had 24/7 2stl, Hoffa i guess got injured, played just 22 mins for 10/7 1blk game....tsakalidis came in and in 40 mins had just 9 boards but 5 blocks. Away -1 loss to Clippers, now that doesnt hurt altough a +1 win would be nicer, Buelher 22/13, Telf 21/11 and Hoffa 21/14(fouled out after half hour) were the best, i have a feeling however we would win this one if Hoffa wasnt fouled out so early. Another loss, by 9 away in Sac-town, Telf 20/9, Hoffa droped 14/20 2blk on his former team, on very poor shooting however. Finished the sim with a +18 win over Knicks at home, Hoffa 39/10, Telf with a near triple double 17/9/11 2stl and Buehler 17/11 5stl were the stars of the night. Not so fast... Ward was injured in that game. If it wasnt for that, this game wouldnt have been so close in the first place. At first, I was like "WOW I BEAT THE CLIPPERS ON THE ROAD" which must have been the first time in ages :D ... only to see the Raptors do the same on the next day, and it was "damn, i'm not so good, seems they were so bad"  Title: Sim 5 Discussion Post by: ClippersGM-old on April 06, 2006, 06:53:19 PM Quote from: CelticsGM At first, I was like "WOW I BEAT THE CLIPPERS ON THE ROAD" which must have been the first time in ages :D ... only to see the Raptors do the same on the next day, and it was "damn, i'm not so good, seems they were so bad"  Both games I was without Ward. I am not saying that he would make a huge difference, but the team that was playing was not what it should be. Good wins by both teams in my house, but when I look at Wards game against the Wolves when he came back from his injury... I know he actually would have made a difference. Title: Sim 5 Discussion Post by: BlazersGM on April 06, 2006, 07:35:06 PM So would Hoffa i believe, Chandler was dominating way too much the basket after he went out i believe.

Modest 4 - 2 sim.
Line of the sim: Igoudala: 26pts, 6 steals, 7 asists and 14rebs vs the Sonics. (eh..if he could only be half a player like this in real NBA :( ).
