Title: Day 1 FA Results
Post by: NetsGM on March 16, 2006, 12:55:28 AM
Not gonna be tonight.

Sorry guys, I tried to get started tonight, but it's 1 am, I've gotta wake up for class in 5 hours.

The next 7 days are exam week for me.  things might be a little hectic.

Hey....take your time.  This is just entertainment.  Exams (real life) is far more important than some game.  I have no problem shelving the whole thing for a week.

Like other people said, do what you need to do and don't feel guilty about it either. I am actually enjoying this break from the sim (especially since i find the offseason more hectic).

Rather than try to fit it in, and keep everyone in suspense, I have pushed free agency back to Wednesday, March 22nd.  If you already submitted your offers, I have them, no need to re-submit (unless you want to make changes).

I will send out mass-emails Tuesday to make sure everyone knows we're starting back up.

I think this is needed. Everyone could use a little break from the high stress situations that a sim league brings ;)

Best of luck on exams, bods.

Now that the pressure of exams is off....I hope you did well.

Also just a reminder to process the trades & cuts that you moved to "processed" during your aborted attempt at day 1 of FA.  I am counting on those extra roster spots.

Actually, exams end wednesday.  I still have 3 more :(

But, anything I've moved "processed" means I've entered it into the program.  Don't worry, it won't be overlooked.

yea your biggest need was another SG  :?
but i agree he was the best this year...

i am very happy to get more depth at C
harpring should give me a solid shotblocking presence.
one more signing to go and i am done for this year.

Magic AND Pacers, everything ok with you?

He got Tanner and Tyler in the frontcourt, thats it. Nothing else at C, PF and SF. No depth. And these two guys carried him to a phenomenal 20-62 record.

He's got DAVID JONES playing decoy at SG so far. Anyone who believes he should start at SG on ANY team lost his mind. He might be a decent PG or SG backup, but Wells was by far the BEST possible signing for the Sixers, bare none.

Wow, that long layoff apparently has twisted some minds ...

My biggest need is another scorer and a good perimter defender.

I got only a player who is capable of scoring 20+ ppg, Tanner Houbregs. Bolinger, Jonas, Tyler and Fuqua are versatile, but they dont have what it takes to score 20+ ppg.

My team is one of the worst in forcing turn-overs and steals. Wells, who averaged 1.8spg and .5bpg (pretty good for a 6'5 SG), who can definitely help my team.

I also might move Jonas or Tyler to SF. Both are very versatile which good ball handling and rebounding skills.

Something like.. Tanner-Tyler-Jonas-Wells-Bolinger

I got the two young guys back. Wolko might be my SG of the future (for better or worse). Sedran is a decent backup SF.
I would have liked to have my MLE picked up, but there are still some guys worth taking with it.

Fuck, this sucks. I guess I'm just gonna have to overpay the leftovers...

And the Sixers have an incredible amount of very talented young players/players in their prime. With some improvement from Bolinger and Fuqua, they will be a sick team in 2-3 seasons.
