Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: RaptorsGM on February 27, 2006, 12:37:27 PM Got Hunter back for another year at an insanely reasonable price.
Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: GrizzliesGM on February 27, 2006, 03:10:47 PM I was able to resign 1 of my 2 top free agents. I'll leave you guys in suspense as to who got away!

Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: ClippersGM-old on February 27, 2006, 03:30:53 PM I agree with RaptorsGM! I also only see one top FA there.
Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: NetsGM on February 27, 2006, 03:44:12 PM Quote I was able to resign 1 of my 2 top free agents He didn't say two top free agents. or two of the league's top free agents. He specifically said two of HIS top free agents. Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: ClippersGM-old on February 27, 2006, 04:01:54 PM That is what we meant. He only has one top free agent.
Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: NetsGM on February 27, 2006, 04:06:06 PM if a guy has 5 free agents, he can say "his top 3 agents", and all that means is the best 3 players of his that are free agents. It doesn't mean anything on the quality of the free agents in relation to the entire league, just his specific team.
He could be the 2nd best free agent on a team, but terrible league-wide. Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: KingsGM-old on February 27, 2006, 04:08:48 PM And besides Clips & Raps are so full of money so i can understand their great interest in Grizz's top names. :)

Ok, I understand. I know that NetsGM wants to steal that other top free agent in free agency. That is why he is defending him! lol Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: MavsGM on February 27, 2006, 06:32:38 PM Bold it for you. :D

Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: Str8westcoasta on February 28, 2006, 12:42:57 PM I re-signed Udonis Haslem, Frank Hyatt and Nick Abdur-Rahim to short and small deals. However, I let Hunter Summitt walk, he was asking for a lil too much for a lil too long...
Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: NetsGM on February 28, 2006, 12:48:02 PM Hey guys,
Let me remind you that I am specifically not posting who has been signed and who hasn't been signed so people can't wait to make their decisions based on who will be in FA. Everybody posting their decisions here kinda undermines that objective. You might not care, but that doesn't mean everyone else doesn't Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: GrizzliesGM on February 28, 2006, 02:37:06 PM Quote from: NetsGM Hey guys, Let me remind you that I am specifically not posting who has been signed and who hasn't been signed so people can't wait to make their decisions based on who will be in FA. But I see no problem if a gm chooses to reveal who they are resigning. Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: BlazersGM on February 28, 2006, 03:57:11 PM i edited mine then so its semi private, few saw i guess but for me its not important, im not doing any sign and trade or any kind of deals before sim 1.
Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: CelticsGM on February 28, 2006, 04:23:54 PM Are you serious, Bods?
These talks here are as much bluffing and GM strategy as the season moves. Get another GM to do a signing here or there can take some FA opponents out of the equation. That can be vital, so i don't see a problem with that. And we had "official" sign'n'trade offer threads before where nobody said a word. Besides that, we are such a close community that you can hardly surprise people anymore. So installing a "mandatory privacy code of conduct" here seems a bit of a strange move to me. Let the posts flow freely here. Makes it even more fun to "guess" who bluffs. We've seen over and over again there are some GMs who talk the talk and some who walk the walk ... Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: MavsGM on February 28, 2006, 04:26:47 PM You play too much poker. :bods:
Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: BlazersGM on February 28, 2006, 04:33:20 PM he didnt sleep for a few years now so he has some issues :bods:
Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: NetsGM on February 28, 2006, 08:05:01 PM Quote You are right that its only fair to keep it private. But I see no problem if a gm chooses to reveal who they are resigning. Imagine this. a GM makes his decisions, sends it in. Everyone then announces who has signed and who hasn't. Now, the decisions he made would have changed, but because he sent his in already and has been quiet, he's gonna get hurt. I can't force anyone to not announce it. I can hopefully try to persuade you against it. Quote So installing a "mandatory privacy code of conduct" here seems a bit of a strange move to me. Never did I say it was mandatory. But I would like to keep it as minimal as possible. Mainly because people put off submitting decisions because of it. Then they forget, don't get their decisions in. Then I'm in the unenviable position of either delaying the last sim, or "forcing" them to lose their FA's. I'd like to have people submit their decisions ASAP. A lot of discussion on the matter persuades against that. Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: MagicGM on March 01, 2006, 06:46:54 AM bullshit.. I'm an honest gm... and I'd be lying if I said that Profit and Jefferson didn't re-sign... damn.. there goes my 2 million remaining cap.. :?

I was hoping both him and TD could retire as a sixer :D
Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: PacersGM on March 04, 2006, 02:59:24 AM man that is horrible for the kings
Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: CelticsGM on March 04, 2006, 05:21:09 AM Good bye, Mark Blount, you will sorely be missed
{ahem, frank, was that this blonde dude we used as a TWG all season .. oh sorry, THAT guy ... did you remember to get some retirement present, like a tape from all his career highlights ... what, just 4 minutes, can we fill that up to an hour somehow? ... yeah, Larry Legend stuff is fine with me, just do it and get it to my office, but WRAPPED ...} Man did the Kings luck out again with TD. They get another year from super-tim, fine. Camby will be missed badly but hey, he was 45 already. But losing all those backups, being ages away from cap space, left only with MLE, LLE and min surely is a tough assignement ... Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: KingsGM-old on March 04, 2006, 07:12:37 AM Haha..half of my team retired! :rrofl:
Camby, i wish you all the best, you were great for my team and one of the main factors during my back to back WCF trips. Thanks on everything! :) And no Celtics, Brian Skinner and Joe Smith are not "all those backups". They doesn't matter at all. Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: KingsGM-old on March 04, 2006, 07:14:43 AM Mavs and Hornets are looking like biggest losers to me. Ben Wallace & Zidrunas will be hardly missed. 2 very important pieces on their teams.
Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: NetsGM on March 04, 2006, 09:09:25 AM Considering Big Z wasn't even re-signed, i'm not sure him not being on the Mavs is all that big of a shock.
Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: RaptorsGM on March 04, 2006, 11:03:58 AM This was what I was hoping for from Big Ben, given I have the Hornets pick. Now there is a really good chance it will be the 26th pick overall instead of the 27th overall :)
Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: CavsGM on March 04, 2006, 02:11:22 PM Got an absolute steal with Manning. I was surprised at the offer. As for Kegaon, the max is what I expected. Didn't want to take a chance with letting him go to FA.
Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: HornetsGM on March 04, 2006, 03:30:13 PM I was considering shooting Ben like a horse after his playoff performance... I'm glad he opted to retire instead :)
Anyway, I have very nice depth in my frontcourt, so I'm not worried about it. Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: MavsGM on March 04, 2006, 04:32:40 PM Haha, I called it in the playoffs thread that Big Z should retired and he did. He really want to retire as a Mavs even though he wants to come back for three more years but I told his agent "no thanx".
Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: CavsGM on March 04, 2006, 07:48:14 PM Mavs, don't be offended by this but are you like not American? Or do you just not know how to type, lol.
Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: MavsGM on March 05, 2006, 04:23:02 PM Both. :D
Title: FA Extension Offers [Due Friday, March 3rd] Post by: CavsGM on March 05, 2006, 05:32:42 PM
