Wow.  5-1 sim, including a win over the Clippers, who I never win against.  Maybe I should have tried Juan Ward in the starting lineup a while ago.  :?

Just great.

Perfect start to the sim with wins at the Wizards and Pistons, two direct playoff opponents, and then Lenard went down, again ! Lost at Cavs and later to Raptors, despite Schabingers breakout game vs. Carmelo. Shit !
 :?

Interesting that backup PG Alex Schenk was player of the game vs. Pistons !!!

At least I seem to have found my starting lineup now ...

Well, a 5-3 sim for the Raptors, falling farther back from the 4th seed and home court.

Thank God I won't have to face the Knicks in the playoffs.

Anyway...

Sonics 98 Raptors 92 -- Not a great way to start off a sim. My former draft pick Bradley Bee comes back to kill me with 21 and 9. What a great year he is having. Melo scored only 22, and Gasol had only 12...and when these 2 combine for only 38, I'm never gonna get a win. On the flip side, Swift had 13 and 13, and Max had 11 pts 12 asts, and held English very much in check.

Raptors 108 Suns 102 -- Gasol exploded for 38 and 16, one of his best games of the season. He completely dominated Collison. Melo chipped in 22 and 7, Max had 20 5 and 5, and Swift had 13 and 11. Suns shot an amazing 53.1% against us, but since we were able to get the victory, that can be overlooked.

Raptors 109 Cavs 82 -- Big blowout. Melo leads the way with 28 and 9 In his second straight offensive outburst, Max added 21 points to go along with 9 assists. Gasol added 18 and 11.

Raptors 94 Rockets 76 -- Held the Rockets to an amazingly low 32.1% from the floor. A great rebounding performance as my C, PF and 6th man all had 11 or more rebounds. Also, Melo had 9 rebounds to complement his 30 points. Gasol added 15 points to his 14 rebounds. Max also had a good game with 13 pts, 9 assists, 7 rebounds to gain player of the game honors.

Magic 109 Raptors 103 -- The kind of loss that makes you want to pull your hair out, as I had an 11 point lead going into the 4th Q. Max had a fantastic game, florting with a triple double, ending up with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Melo was the scoring leader with 27. Alvin Schenk had 11 points in 9 minutes off the bench.

Raptors 89 Bulls 88 -- Whew, this could have made the sim a heck of a lot worse. The Bulls' frontcourt combined to give us all kinds of trouble, but Gaso lwas able to answer with an 18 point, 22 REBOUND performance. Take that, Amare. Chills added 20 points on 9-16 shooting, one of his better offensive performances of the year.

Knicks 96 Raptors 89 -- Still can't figure out the "Curse of the Knicks" (1-2 against them this year). Melo had 23, and Max added 22, 9 and 5. Gasol chipped in 17 and 10 but fouled out trying to guard Sweetney. Wells, Stocktor and Sura combined to crush my hopes of winning this game.

Raptors 103 Celtics 101 -- Ahhh, Thank God, needed a win here. Got crushed by Peter Schabinger (who??) for 28 points, 8 rebounds and 6 steals, but a solid team effort overcame that. Melo led the way with 23 and 11, while Max (who had an amazing offensive sim) added 22 and 6. Swift and Gasol both had dub-dubs, and Chills was only 1 board away.

Some injuries threw us for a loop in this sim, luckily nothing too major. It looks like homecourt is the Nets' again.  :?
I just hope I can hold off the Pacers and the Magic.

no you won´t hold me off.

by the way what kind of injuries??
i beat you twice with your best lineup.
Ok back to my sim
lost only 1 game against nets but again no chance to beat them. Artest has troubles everytime i play them.
short recap of all:
vs. Knicks
bad defense but a nice offensiv game from my big trio gave me a win.
JO had 20 points and 12 rebounds while Artest 25/9 and Marion 25/7were even better.
vs. Hawks
no problem at all against them. Jo lead the way with 37 points and 13 boards. Artest had 18 and Marion 19 and 9.
vs. nets
couldn´t stop their hot outside shooting and get destroyed on the boards. also mike had one of his better games. held lincoln and emeka to resonable scores but artest was too bad to survive. i will try some different strategy in the next two sims against them.
vs. Hornets
a big and easy win. they have really troubles to defend my team ( even they are one of the best defense teams this year)
JO had 28 points and 19 boards and almost another triple double with 8 assist. Marion was even better with 34 and 11 and artest had 22/5
my team shot 80% from 3 and over 50 from the field
vs rockets
could have been a loss since my team almost lsot it in the 4th by scoring 6 points. damn i hope this will wake up them. JO,Artest and Marion fouled out or had foul troubles. boozer of the bench with 18 boards in 26 mins.
vs hornets
another blowout. this time i showed them i can stop them holding them on their homecourt under 80 points. JO with another try for a triple double with 24/9/7. Marion 25/8 and Artest 18/4.
vs.Hawks
i like to play them
Three guys scoring over 30 points. Nice...
JO again unstoppable 32points 15 boards and 7 assist
Artest had 31points 4 boards 7 assist and 3 steals
Marion 31points 4 boards and 4 assist
had an plus 21 at the boards and forced 21 TOs

since it seems that i have secured at least the 5th place i will experiment the next 2 sims.

some small side notes to the play of Nate as he had his first career backup Pg start for the Pacers

In 4 of 7 games he had no TOs, had more than 2 steals avg. and shot better than 60%

the other 3 wasn´t bad either..

one word LOTTO

lost all fucking games by 1-3 points that i was sure about winning. 2nd worst sim in my career.

Now i can finally give Jackman a few minutes, i was wondering about that guy for 2 seasons, now its his chance.

Well, the normal sim, although Dirk's scoring has been off the last two sims.

Always lose about one game per sim, and it is always because of a bad offensive performance.

Coasting along very nicely right now, and Jackson Finley has played well as the starting center (and Jim Finley has been excellent as the back-up center/pf)

BTW, I will be on vacation from Feb 18th through Feb 28th, and I am not sure if I will have internet access.
Good luck in the playoffs everyone.   :D

Yeah, that was from the sim before (where I actually did pretty well), and not from the last sim. I messed that up.

So this miserable shit started good

@Nuggets 110-99 Bertram 28/6 4 steals, Telf 24/7/10, Iggy off bench 17/7, Buehler 17 boards
and a D lesson to Berkowitz.

Then came a loss i didnt expect but not a big deal.

@Sonics 97-90 Iggy 24 leading the scorers, Buehler 15 boards and great D again, team was
shooting miserable 40FG 303PT 56FT, Sonics were not much better but FT-s decided this one.

Then Heat beat me at home which i totally didnt like, i rarely lose at home to teams like
Heat.TIMOTHY DUNCAN was really pissed off on us cancelling the deal so he posted 28/21.

Heat 90-104 its more worth to mention TD then my own players achievements.

@Pistons 107-117 My misery continued despite some nice efforts of Russell 34, Telf 18/12 and
Hayman 14/17.

As i predicted game with Grizzlies in Memphis was indeed a close one but unfortunately
for my team we lost by 1 with an middle court shot by Devin Fauber 0:03s...definitely
something that will be Nr.1 this week on SSBA Action.

Another close loss by 3p came to Suns, but at home, Telf had another close 3-2 night posting
29/7/10, Shultz added 26/6, team was pretty miserable under the rim.

Finished the sim with another miserable perfomance and loss to Wizards and again at home.
