Chris Bosh, Andre Iguodala, and the Warriors 2013 1st round pick Blazers Trade Jackson Finley and John Mitchell Title: Re: Warriors/Blazers trade Post by: BlazersGM on February 01, 2006, 10:42:38 PM Quote from: GoldenStateGM Warriors Trade Chris Bosh, Andre Iguodala, and the Warriors 2013 1st round pick Blazers Trade Jackson Finley and John Mitchell Blazers accept. There was a need of a change at Portland and this seems like a good one, for both of teams, Bosh will be a fine backup for Finley and Iggy is a very versatile player which we can use at 3 positions, Finley is a great offensive guy, but his defense wasnt so good as Buehler (Buehler sucks this season at offense tough), lets see what happens, we at Portland believe its a good deal for both of the teams so good luck to both. Title: Warriors/Blazers trade - doesn't work Post by: GoldenStateGM on February 01, 2006, 10:46:42 PM Jackson Finley might be the perfect center for this team.
With his B outside, and the outside offense the Warriors run, the fit seems to be excellent. Defensively, he appears to be quite similiar to Jim Finley, my other center. But he is a great rebounder, and that has been my teams weakness the last 2 years. He fixes that. Bosh has perrrenially underachieved, although he just did well at center this past sim. Andre has been with the Warriors for many years, and we had always hoped he would develop. He finally seems to have come into his own, but the ability to get a starting center was an opportunity that could not be missed. Besides making the only Finley Finley center combination, why do you say that? Title: Warriors/Blazers trade - doesn't work Post by: BlazersGM on February 01, 2006, 10:56:56 PM Ive played Finley once as C, and that was actually the best move i did, he did great, he is a very strange player tough, not very consitent, but he can suprise a lot, just like he did when i moved him to C for 1st time in the last sim of last season.
Title: Warriors/Blazers trade - doesn't work Post by: NetsGM on February 01, 2006, 11:04:01 PM I just don't see the love for Finley. Dude's never going to score jack with a C inside at C, and a B+ defense is solid, but not spectacular.

Dude's never going to score jack with a C inside at C, and a B+ defense is solid, but not spectacular. Who wants him to score? Honestly, I am happy if he shoots about 4 times a game. I needed him for two match-up reasons. The elite teams are dominant rebounding teams, and historically I always got beat on the boards by those elite teams. I won when Nowitzki put on a great show. This year the squad has been better rebounding, but I think it will normalize. And, I hope, as an outside threat, he can pull some centers (aka Tyson Chandler) away from the basket. Worst case scenario, Finley is my top back-up at C and PF, and still rebounding strongly. Title: Warriors/Blazers trade - doesn't work Post by: BlazersGM on February 01, 2006, 11:09:36 PM i got a lot of offers for Finley and he seems to be a really weird guy, i rarely started him, but on some teams he can get 10+ rebs, he-s a fine shooter and a great rebounder as a sub as it seams, this season he was shooting great, unlike previous seasons, his only problem so far that i noticed is that he has many osciliations, one game he is with 7,8 rebs and 1 block, other with 15 and 3.4 blocks, things like that, he is not consitent, but i believe he can be a great player at a right team.

You know how long i tried to deal for him. He would have been perfect for me. A rebounding big man who doesn't need the ball in his hands. With Stro/Lenard/Chauncey/Redd I have that flexibility not needing any scoring there. Did I mention that i'm very very disappointed now? And not only did Fin move, who would have been a perfect solution for the Celtics - in case i didn't make that clear - another one of my all-time favourites moved, again with me playing the role of spectator only. A truly sad day ... Title: Warriors/Blazers trade - doesn't work Post by: BlazersGM on February 02, 2006, 10:59:02 AM shit happens 8)

A truly sad day ... You know what the true irony is... Remember when Finley was a free agent, and (because we never used first names) we were discussing a Finley trade (I thought you meant Jim, and you meant Jackson) I said I was looking for Finley to be my starter (I meant Jim, you thought I emant Jackson)... and Jackson he is. Just found that amusing, I have no idea why :) Title: Warriors/Blazers trade - doesn't work Post by: BlazersGM on February 02, 2006, 01:46:52 PM Quote from: CelticsGM the brazilian lifestyle doesn't seem to do you good, i only hope this has nothing to do with being closer to edgemont now ... hahahaha  well see i hate this stupid brazilian keyboard cant find any symbols on it Title: Re: Warriors/Blazers trade Post by: NetsGM on February 04, 2006, 10:28:21 PM Quote from: GoldenStateGM Warriors Trade Chris Bosh, Andre Iguodala, and the Warriors 2013 1st round pick Blazers Trade Jackson Finley and John Mitchell Warriors don't have a first round pick.
