Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: HornetsGM on January 29, 2006, 01:12:53 AM Man, my point differential is almost +25, and that's including a 26 point loss to the Nets on day 1
:D Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: KingsGM-old on January 29, 2006, 02:38:34 AM You were doing fine until Tmac droped 59 on you :P :)
Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: MagicGM on January 29, 2006, 03:36:25 AM wow. wasn't expecting a 5-0 start :S
I was expecting a win percentage of .600 - .700 :D William Brice is a big surprise. So is Al J :D hopefully my guys could keep this up. :D Brice was simply hot.. probably the best performance I saw in a Magic uniform.. :D 18 of 25 FG while shooting 9 of 11 from the rainbow country :D to register 49 points against the Mavs :D also the best start of the seaon :D the margin between my PPG and oPPG is an impressive 18.4 points difference :D Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: HeatGM on January 29, 2006, 06:43:27 AM bods can you send me my depth chart?? im guessing that the DC i posted wasn't inputed correctly... juan dixon played PG and Khoury didnt play....
Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: CavsGM on January 29, 2006, 09:02:58 AM 4-1. That's a surprise.
Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: SixersGM on January 29, 2006, 09:13:32 AM one word: mediocrity
I would change next sim's DC and see how would my team play with a frontcourt of Tanner/curry/tyler. Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: RaptorsGM on January 29, 2006, 09:56:51 AM Great sim from the Raptors....4-1.
Carmelo 2nd in League in scoring. with 35.4ppg on 52.4% and an amazing 63.6% from three. Swift struggled, shooting only 28.1%..gonna need to see that improve. Gasol also struggled, shooting only 35.9%, but his 18.2 and 11.8 are very good numbers. Off then bench, Garcia came in and put up 10.6 and 9.2....great, great numbers. Childress had 11.6 and 8rpg at SG. Dickau shot 57.7% from the bench and put up 7.8 ands 4.8 in only 20 mpg. Max was great, 14ppg, 10.2apg and only 1.4topg. The offence was amazing, 2nd in the league, but I expected this team to be a bit better defensivly...not gonna change anything after a 4-1 sim though. Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: RaptorsGM on January 29, 2006, 10:07:42 AM On the whole, TC improvements are not all that meaningful.
See: Jason Richardson. Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: BullsGM-old on January 29, 2006, 11:00:41 AM Went 4-3 but discovered some great encouraging things about my team:
1. Eric Fleisher can play. He averaged 12/7 on 52%/72%/100% shooting respectively while coming off the bench. He's a mini Griffin, and will now be my starting center 2. Richard Milner can play. In a league of many great PG's I wasn't sure if Milner could hang, but he definitely can. The guy is a triple double threat EVERY game, so far he's averaging 10/7/7 with 1.5 spg on solid percentages. 3. Dorell Wright is a legit 6th man. Perhaps my best MLE signing (aside from Fleisher), Wright is proving last season wasn't an abberation. He's averging 9/4 shooting 52% from the field and 50% from th 3 point land while playing 18 mpg Amare is great as usual and Kundla is stepping up his game (and defense). I would still like better from Marion but right now I can't complain. I'm hoping to make the right adjustments for next sim Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: JazzGM-old on January 29, 2006, 11:58:58 AM So Kirilenko started off hot:
game 1: 22 pt 7 reb, 4 assists 9 steals game 2: 16 pt 10 reb, 6 assists 5 steals game 3: 16 pts 4 reb, 7 assists, 5 steals game 5: 26 pts, 10 reb, 5 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks Murray is scoring 12-13ppg in only 16.5 mpg off the bench Curran has 3.3 bpg Kaman has 13 rpb So far so good :-D Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: BlazersGM on January 29, 2006, 12:43:55 PM Not a dream start but fine, 3-3, Haywood with 13ppg 16.5rpg went nuts, Buehler with 10.7rpg,
Schultz with 22.3ppg 8.3rpg, man that guy can really jump, Telf with 22/10. First game really hurted, a loss to Hawks 107-121, Hayman with 22 boards. Another big loss to Rockets, this team definitely has problems for a long time playing on road against any team. Revenge back at home, Telf and Shultz scoring, Haywood dominating 19/18 this one. Beat the Pacers at home, Shultz 28/9, Telf 26/14 Took down Grizzlies, Shultz 24/5 4 steals, Telf 22/6/7, Haywood with 17/23 4 blocks !! Clipps 2nd half run brought another loss.Shultz 21/10 and Haywood 20/17. Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: KingsGM-old on January 29, 2006, 12:49:47 PM What you want for Haywood?
Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: HornetsGM on January 29, 2006, 01:20:25 PM Quote from: KingsGM You were doing fine until Tmac droped 59 on you :P :) haha, yeah, that was shameful  Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: CelticsGM on January 29, 2006, 01:27:37 PM Oh man, this sucks.
I had the Raptors all but beaten on day 1 only to see my complete frontcourt Stro and Thomas fouling out and consequently losing the 4th by 10 and the game by a single point. And then I went on to have the Pacers on the ropes only to lose big the 4th AGAIN, this time by 8 ... and the game by a mere 3 pts. Little redemption i did the same to the Heat on day 2. Perfect start into the season. Just 5-3 instead of 7-1 :-( ok,i did beat the lesser teams but thats not enough in an Eastern Conf which looks to be pretty open this season. Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: BlazersGM on January 29, 2006, 01:51:31 PM wow, there-s a total of 9,10 players worth choosing (i didnt count PGs)
Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on January 29, 2006, 01:53:05 PM Quote from: HeatGM bods can you send me my depth chart?? im guessing that the DC i posted wasn't inputed correctly... juan dixon played PG and Khoury didnt play.... you're right, i messed up. just bold your entire pg for the next sim. Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: HawksGM on January 29, 2006, 04:20:46 PM another sub-par start for the Hawks...at 2-4 my lone bright spot is Troy Havlicek who has what looks like the making of a break out season by stating the season averaging 27 and 9. His backcourt mate, Mason Mercer, started pretty average with 17pts and 2.7stls for me. His to's went down but so did his assists. I expected him to stay right around that level for the whole season unless I can move him for his value.
Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: SpursGM-old on January 29, 2006, 05:30:26 PM 3-4 start...hard to judge too much in the first sim. Lost all 3 road games in the 4th quarter...part of still being a young team. Big concern right now is rebounding where I was outrebounded by an average of almost 6 a game.
A couple bright spots.... Uner is still developing into one of the better PGs in the league with little notice. 18.1 pts, 6.4 reb, 9.1 asst, 2.3 stls, 1.7 to Russell is still his dependable consistent self: 16 pts, 6.1 reb, 2.1 stls, 45% form the floor, 50% from the arc Duncan & Kim combine for 32 pts, 16 reb as a solid starting front court. And after the trade with the Mavs my starting lineup's ages are Duncan 27, Kim 28, Russell 26, Snyder 27, Uner 25. Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: RaptorsGM on January 29, 2006, 06:12:22 PM Little game by game breakdown...
Game 1: Raptors 96 vs. Celtics 95 -- Led by the strength of Melo's 36 and 7, we were able to sneak one out by coming from 9 down in the 4th Q. Garcia was my 2nd leading scorer off the bench with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Gasol was held to 4-15 shooting in ihs first game with the Raptors, which hurts, but when we win, I wont complain. Max had 11, 8 and 8. Game 2: Raptors 114 @ Nets 103 -- Wow, 2nd game with this new lineup, and allready getting by the Nets on the road? Cool. Melo exploded on Dunleavy with 49 points on 19-32 shooting. Max had 15 points and 11 assists. Swift double-doubled with 10 points and 14 rebounds. Gasol was held to 4 points, but made up for it with 8 rebounds and 7 assists. On the plus side, Petit was shut down by Childress, scoring *only* 22 points on 10-26 shooting. I finally have the defensive prescene at SG that I have craved since the beginning. Game 3: Raptors 115 @ Heat 87 -- Second straight road win over a playoff team. Melo had 35 and 6, continuing his excellent play. Gasol finally got it going with 25 points and 11 rebounds, altough he shot a poor percentage. Max had 12 points on only 6 shots, and 15 assists. Swift had a terrible game, but Garcia came off the bench with 13 and 13. I'm starting to wonder if his ratings actually go up at C. Chills shut down Maggette, who scored only 6 points. Game 4: Raptors 116 @ Pistons 92 -- another road win, something I had troubles with in former years. Gasol had 32 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks. Melo chipped in 26, and Max had 20 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Game 5: Raptors 109 vs. Nets 124 -- If my only loss this season is to the Nets, then my team must be pretty damn good. Nets needed 4 players to score more than 20. Lord tore Max a new one, dropping 26 and 12 on him. Nets made 6 more 3's than us, which was the main difference in the score, as I took 43 free throws in this game. Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: GoldenStateGM on January 30, 2006, 09:49:57 AM Hmm... A decent start to the new saeon, going 4-2.
Lost to the Mavs and the Nuggets, both gams away. The Nuggets have had my number for years, Alphonse Butler loves the play against the Warriors. Dirk is playionmg very well, leading the league in scoring. Both Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich need to step it up, Deng in his shot selection, and Hinrich in his assists. Don Ruffin, had a tough sim, both offensively, and his defense was not up to last years defense. Only 5 games this next sim... Tough to get a true read on if this team is different then last years Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: MavsGM on January 30, 2006, 09:53:41 AM A Field Goal % of .429 just cann't get it done. :x
Title: Sim 1 Discussion Post by: OldNuggetsGM on January 30, 2006, 09:53:54 AM Crappy start for Denver. Of course, it's hard to judge when your starting PF misses 5 games, thereby throwing the whole frontcourt rotation out of whack. Odom seems to have done okay at center, but we'll give it one more sim to see if that works. Lone bright spot was the win over the Warriors, as noted above. First-round pick Morehead proved to be a rebounding beast, as he somehow started in place of Berkowitz at PF. Hopefully, the team will revert back to normal this next sim.
