Title: Mason Mercer
Post by: HawksGM on January 25, 2006, 02:00:41 PM
Mason is a very good point guard who is now expendable due to a recent trade.  I would like a good defensive wing man in replace of Mercer.  I will make it known that I have no problem playing Mason at the 2 because he is a great scorer, despite his height, he and Hav could put some very good ball pressure on opposing guards, so I am optimistic.  Mercer will not be given away but I will listen to all offers via pm.

NOOO !
Can't you please, please, please play a backcourt of Mercer and Hav, just for ONE sim. Do us the favor, that's a once in a lifetime chance you got here.

Imagine 6'5" Lincoln Lord and 6'4" Pettit or 6'3" Hinrich and 6'8" Deng looking for the opponent, completely forgetting to look down for the guys running circles through their legs ...

And i'm pretty sure, these matchups would be closer than expected, too, the little ones can defend !

But we GOTTA FIND OUT ...

lol, that's hilarious, hey if I don't get an offer that I like, it's gonna happen and I won't hesitate to do it for a whole season, a very very short backcourt doesn't scare me because even with them running around the legs, I think they might disrupt an offense...what other chance do I have against the top half of the east

lol, another very very good point...and how many times have I said "I'm gonna keep my team in tact through the season" but then that always fails.  But it does sound good to me now

bump

the Mason at the 2 experiment hasn't been a great one for me.  Opposing SG's are scoring at will over the guy.  He needs to be a starting point again, but it won't be in Atlanta.  He's going to be traded, probably soon.  Young wing's with good defense and/or a young guy inside is what I would want.  Picks can be included if the deal is right.  lmk asap.

There's absolutely no team in the league in need of a PG. At least not that I know of. It's crazy...

bump, his price has went down, if you are making a push this year for a championship, he's the best player on the market.  Despite his to's he will put up 22 and 8 with top notch defense.  He can be dealt for a matching contract and a pick in next years draft, or a decent player under 30. pm me
