I had around 5 chances at Mortimer and of course at the last one he wasn't available anymore. Guess it wasn't meant to be.

Carroll will, if he makes the team, contribute on the defensive end hopefully and not touch too many balls in any set offense.

Jerigan is a good pick, I thought strongly about him at 25.

Oswalk was a very good scorer and rebounder in college.
He may be on to watch.

What scared me away was the fact Jarnigan has the 2nd worst differential from actual and scouted (FCBC) ratings. This guy is so much overachieving currently I fear there's something wrong with him.

Btw, the worst differential belongs to Denis Oswald, third is Barbosa ...

I'm pleased with my picks, hope potentials are right and they can be players in a season or two

I still don't get all this stuff about actual and scouted ratings, and actual and scouted potential.

Can anyone please explain this to me like I am a 4-year old?  :D

here's the rookie draft short

You find the details under "Draft details". Now take a look at Jernigan, who plays for Kentucky (http://ssba.phillyarena.net/files/draft/rosters/roster130.htm)

His player page (http://ssba.phillyarena.net/files/draft/players/player4782.htm) lists current attributes and potential attributes

INS   JPS   FT   3PS   HND   PAS   ORB   DRB   PSD   PRD   STL   BLK   PF   QKN   STR   JMP   STA
Current attributes: A-   C+   D+   B   A-   F+   A+   C   C+   A-   D   C   C   B-   C+   C+   B+
Potential attributes: B   C   D   B   B   F   A   C   C   B   D   C

Compare this two and you get an idea if the player has reached his potential already or not.
But I believe:
- this still is scouted potential so it may be wrong too (since almost everybody is very close or already tops his maximum potential)
- this is COLLEGE potential and doesn't have to translate to the pro's

But we won't find out about this until a couple more seasons are played

Also, keep in mind that FBCB has potential for ALL attributes, that doesn't convert to FBB.  FBB only has one potential rating.  So you can look at a draftee, a pg that's underachieving in post defense, and go "gee, I don't care if he improves in post defense when I draft him, irrelevant".  But really, it's not, because that is just used to determine his overall potential, and has equal weight (in theory) to ballhandling.

thanks guys.

so when the potential attributes are better than the current attributes... it means there is room for improvement right?
