Congrats to Emeka for his 2nd straight DPOY (and 3rd of his career), and to Pettit for his 1st team all-nba selection. I tied my best record ever, going 66-16. Last 3 years: 197-49 (.801 winning %) Title: NOTE ABOUT SIM 12 Post by: BlazersGM on January 04, 2006, 06:43:58 PM nice, and here we go vs the bastard Kings, they won't be Kings for a long time :sw:
Title: NOTE ABOUT SIM 12 Post by: KingsGM-old on January 04, 2006, 06:44:37 PM 100% healthy for the playoffs!! MISSION ACCOMPLISHIED!!!

Title: NOTE ABOUT SIM 12 Post by: CavsGM on January 04, 2006, 07:04:04 PM Well I didn't make the playoffs, which is fine with me... 8)
My pick jumped from like 12th to 7th this last sim. Maybe I can even get some lottery luck... Congrats to Hornick who make the all-rookie team and Strait who made the second team. Title: NOTE ABOUT SIM 12 Post by: BlazersGM on January 04, 2006, 07:05:25 PM 3-4, played 6 games without top scorer Russell, finally in PO's, 41-41 (like i predicted hehe), Russell back for PO's,
soph Buehler All-Defensive 2nd 2 years in a row, not a bad thing for 26mpg sub/starter sophomore. Schultz 34/7, Telf 29/7 in loss to Suns beat the Jazz lost to Nets by 5 (Buehler 28/8 4 blocks) beat the Heat (Schultz 30/10, Telf 23/5/9) lost to Spurs (Schultz 23/8,Telf 21/8, Buh 8/5/15) and Sixers (Telf 24/7/9, Buh 23/11) beat the Hornets (Telf 23/8, Schultz 16/11) Title: NOTE ABOUT SIM 12 Post by: RaptorsGM on January 04, 2006, 07:07:06 PM Congratulations to Yao on his 4th STRAIGHT MOST VALUABLE PLAYER AWARD!
Poor 3-4 sim but managed to hold onto homecourt. Interesting matchup with the Heat, Yao vs. Duncan. Yao vs. Duncan Jeferson vs. Tskalidis Dickau vs. QRich Perry vs. JRich Max vs. Khoury Season Series: 2-2 Day 1: Heat 95 Raptors 85 - Ray and Duncan had their way with Holman and Pietrus, neither of whom starts anymore. Day 14: Raptors 116 Heat 96 - Yao and Duncan traded blows, but my team had the depth to eke it out. Day 66: Heat 100 Raptors 89 - Finally see the Duncan at C, vs. Yao matchup. Altough I fully expect the Heat to start Duncan at PF for our series. Day 84: Raptors 98 Heat 91 - Duncan could not handle Yao and was completely shut down, but the rest of his team played very good. Outscored him by 19 in the 4th Q. Title: NOTE ABOUT SIM 12 Post by: HeatGM on January 04, 2006, 07:09:11 PM huh? i wasnt aware of that last two season...was that a new rule? a new update of FBB?
Title: NOTE ABOUT SIM 12 Post by: HornetsGM on January 04, 2006, 07:10:06 PM 3-5. My oPPG rose nearly a full point that sim.
Wallace means so much to my team, at this point I feel I will be lucky to get out of the 1st round. However, I am 4-0 against the Magic this season. Maybe a 1st round series can go 7 games and Wallace will make it back for the 2nd round. My pick is currently #5 in the draft, so that's definitely a plus. Title: NOTE ABOUT SIM 12 Post by: CelticsGM on January 04, 2006, 07:35:55 PM this sucks.
the injury filled season ended ... with some more injuries (that probably cost me the playoffs). After doing everything that's possible, beating Sonics, Hornets and Clippers on the road, and Suns, my backup C Booth went down. Great. I lost to Yao (when C Borchardt of all people now had to play 30min against him) and to the Wolves. The final win over the Raptors - again on the road - just showed what might have been possible. ONE DAMN WIN MORE and i'm in. Depressing. (somehow i hear a deep sigh of relief out of swampland) This team will stay together and get another chance to show it is a top 4 team in this conference (i choose to ignore the laughters from Pacers and Kings here). 2012 here we come ... Title: NOTE ABOUT SIM 12 Post by: BlazersGM on January 04, 2006, 07:55:33 PM What about Blaze laugh
joke 8) Title: NOTE ABOUT SIM 12 Post by: SixersGM on January 04, 2006, 07:59:37 PM If only the All-star game wasn't resimmed (Jonas was invited) and he wasn't injured for a lot of days, I could have 2 ROY players in my team (bolinger and him) :D
Anyway, this sim has been a learning experience for my team. Im looking to sign the guys whom I signed with the minimum and did step up in the loss of my key backcourt player. It was trully a blessing in disguise that Bolinger and Jonas did get injured. Title: NOTE ABOUT SIM 12 Post by: GoldenStateGM on January 04, 2006, 10:24:23 PM Could not have asked for a better regular season...
Wsetern Conference Champions!!! Except for the Final game (come on, Hinrich really gets injured in the last game of the season... In a game that does not matter.) Dirk wins the player of the month award. Dirk and Hinrich both are 1st team all league selections. Congratulations guys!!!! Don Ruffin is a 1st team all-defensive player. Well Done!!! Worst fear comes true, though. Kirk Hinrich is out for the entire first round of the playoffs, 10 days with broken ribs. Title: NOTE ABOUT SIM 12 Post by: CelticsGM on January 05, 2006, 06:41:23 AM bods, we need a trade exception:
Celtics trade the complete lineup to the Magic for their complete lineup. We need actually 2 exceptions, one to do the deal NOW and the other for the 41mio salary differential. I tried to make that up with veteran FA signings but it proved to be almost impossible ... Believe me, i don't care if i'm located in Beantown or DisneyWorld, as long as i get some playoff action ... 8) Title: NOTE ABOUT SIM 12 Post by: PacersGM on January 05, 2006, 06:41:26 AM Quote from: CelticsGM Quote from: MagicGM just wanted to type something :D anyway, since I'm at it.. At least Dirk is.
Dirk really found his rhythm at the end of the season, and if he can continue his amazing play, the Warriors have a shot, even with their heart and soul injured on a cheap shot by Billy Snodgrass (watch out Billy!!!) And, it should be interesting to see how Luol Deng will play as a 2nd option to Dirk. Deng has been brilliant offensively this year (48% shooting), so if he can step up his game, that would be very, very nice. If Holt can get about 8 apg, and continue shooting well like he did during the regular season, that would be all that is necessary. In this series, Hinrich's defense will be sorely missed. He held Harris to 27% shooting in the 4 games they played against each other, and Harris had a less then 2:1 a:to ratio. I hope you taught your protege well... Title: NOTE ABOUT SIM 12 Post by: HawksGM on January 05, 2006, 08:48:44 AM On a non-playoff note, the Hawks finish the season with a 5-3 sim, and we set a team record for wins in a season. the way I look at it, any improvement is good. We will try and keep the team together by re-signing Kobe, Traylor and Dampier (barring retirement) to see if we can't make more of an improvement and make the playoffs next season.
Title: NOTE ABOUT SIM 12 Post by: PacersGM on January 05, 2006, 08:58:20 AM Quote from: GoldenStateGM Well, not hinking much of my chances with Hinrich out. Daniel Holt is going to have to come up very, very big from the PG spot, and I do not think he is ready... wow that is a big loss not only loosing one of your best defender but without anyone as a third option as well. Bron against Dirk will be exiting but without kirk harris will have some big games. Could be that the mavs are up for a sensation  Title: NOTE ABOUT SIM 12 Post by: GoldenStateGM on January 05, 2006, 09:19:45 AM Third option???
Who needs a third option? :D The old gameplan was to put Nowitzki in the high post, and run a perimeter pick (Ruffin) for Hinrich, and to also have a post pick (Finley) for Deng. This gave Nowitzki the option of taking his man down low, taking the shot from the high post, or passing to either Deng or Hinrich. Either that, or we ran a double pick to get Nowitzki free on the perimeter, and had Deng flash to the post, while Hinrich passed to the open man, or took his own shot. Now, the Warriors will be altering their strategy. Dirk will stay in the high post with the ball (where he is most effective), but the Warriors will either run a double pick to get Deng free, or will post Deng up on the inside. The old double pick to free Nowitzki play will still work, but teams will likely sag off of Holt, to double Nowitzki. Holt will have to make the open looks he will get from double teams on Nowitzki. If Dirk can average what he was averaging for the end of the season (about 40 ppg), and Deng can bump up to about 25 ppg, as long as Holt can get about 10 ppg, the offense will be OK... Title: NOTE ABOUT SIM 12 Post by: OldNuggetsGM on January 05, 2006, 10:05:32 AM My matchup with the Clippers should be a helluva series. During the year, they beat me by 9, 1, and 1, and I beat them by 7. So through 4 games this year, we're only separated by 4 total points. And all 4 games came in the second half of the year, which is when my team crapped the bed. It will be interesting to see what transpires.
Title: NOTE ABOUT SIM 12 Post by: SpursGM-old on January 05, 2006, 10:19:41 AM Finished up with a 2-4 sim to end up ninth in the West again....and one of 6 teams in the league that finished 36-46. Had a couple small injuries during the sim that played havoc with my lineups. Played 5 of the final 6 on the road losing the first two games by a total of 8 points. Then won two games but once the team was officially eliminated they mailed in the final two days of the season.
But with the entire team under age 30 the Spurs are looking forward to healing over the offseason and coming to TC ready to improve.
