Post by: NetsGM on December 17, 2005, 06:54:59 PM
Might be a little late.  Like, 1-2 am.  Might also be 9 pm.  I just don't know.  I'm supposed to get off of work at 8pm, but shit's blowin up around here.  So....basically, I might be putting in an extra 4 hours or so :)

Hehe, i doubt, working is a pain in the ass mostly (unless you work with something you really love), but doing nothing and losing your mind is worse then working hard (even if its something you dont like)...work is good for keeping our mind in order

All I ask for is a winning sim, hopefully that becomes a possiblity.

Sim 4 up.

Went 3-3.  Blah.

Lost by 1 pt, 2 pts and 5 pts.

Also, you'll notice there's now only one DC forum.  I dunno why, just thought having 2 separate threads outlived its usefulness.  Just one more thread I had to create every sim and one more link I had to update.

jeez.. went 3-7

wanted to give my 2nd lineup a boost especially with Mercer being one of my best offensive option at my frontcourt.. not a disappoint with 7pts in 16minutes. totally unacceptable. Dwight's stats went up though. and brice is looking rock solid.

its good to see my point guard Mangrum commiting less turnovers than Brice or Daniels who run my point a few sims earlier.

Mangrum was 2 points away from a triple double impressive on my win against the Cavs.. :D Josh was playing almost abysmal this sim. while Murphy is taking advantage. and thats bull :D I plan to have Josh with his defense. dang.

on a 4-point loss against the Pistons, Mangrum dished out a career best 17 asts to go along with 3 turnovers. all I'm asking for him is to defend :S

terrible loss against the heat. TDuncan had a dominating performance with a 28-20.

Mangrum is dishing out for real to end the sim he went with a 16 asts performance. truly the defense-less Jason Kidd :D

oh well, the toughest stretch for the season will now come to an end next sim. imagine 26 games in 30 days. including 21 straight games. lol

2-1 sim...   Not bad.

Crushed by the Nuggets.  Thought I had a good defensive team, until they shot 64% against me...  Yikes.

Love my bench.

This sim:
Lord: 7.7 ppg, 4.2 apg, 0.83 topg
Darko: 8.3 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 1 bpg
Gooden: 8.2 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 1.5 bpg (in only 16 mpg)

And now I'm adding Dunleavy to that group

I'm actually not too upset with the sim.  I just lost a pair of close games to tough teams on the road (with the 1 pt loss to the wiz at home being the only one I'm truly upset about).

Earl Boykins had a 38 pt, 13 assist, 0 turnover game.

2-1 this sim. blah. :D

Thrilled with the 124-88 victory over the sonics. :D

nice sim only 1 loss a blowout one against the kings

beat the celtics with great teamplay and behind a very emotional game by rocky elliot(not sure if this is arecord for pgs but 3 blks against billups is nice)
also beat the nets. Congrats to the nets for the performance of emeka.
can´t really believe how i won this game.i lost in almost every major cat and JO had one of his worst nights.

first time this year that i had my focus more on defense. i had some sucess with the new settings but my scoring and my ass/to ratio also droped big.

Celtics worries continue, went just 1-2 this sim. But the end of the suffering is in sight.

Beat the Heat (love how Etan Thomas took care of TD), which is important - not only for them doing some talking recently ;-)
but have away another close one to the Bucks in the 4th quarter. OK, we know that Lenard can't stop Pierce but he fouled out at least. Arenas took advantage of Ginobili still missing some games to really take it to RJeff who's a wonderful scorer off the bench but no starter against the better SGs, also evident against Marion in the Pacers loss

Stro did some good things, averaging 19/9 and 3 blks which is exactly what i expect of him. He held Tsakalidis down, he held Okur down, he held JO down - perfect !!!

So with the Nets waiting next sim i'll get another test to see how far we'ver come ...

Went 3/3, not bad.  Beat the Hornets and Nuggets so I'm happy about that.  Lost a close one against the Cavs

beat the LAL away, lost at Grizz by 5, at Pacers by 30, one of worst perfomances i ever saw,at home to Spurs, then
won last 3 vs Nuggs, at Sonics and Spurs at home for my 2nd positive sim, 4-3, team finally is playing good, hope they
continue the good form after 3-8 start (due to some stupid changes on DC), went 9-4 since changing back DC to sim 1 DC.

Given my level of experimentation, I'm pretty happy with my results so far. I am on pace to win about 59 games this year, only 3 less than last year. I am very pleased with this given the fact that I have gotten significantly younger at 1 major position.

Also, the Nets' 3-3 sim put me within a game of 1st place. Unfortunately, unlike last year, I have to look over my shoulder, because the Pacers could easily take my spot (in fact, I think they will.)

2-4 sim but was hit by injuries to both of my SGs on the depth chart.  Still happy with the performance of my young guys.  And now with the trades I have a young starting five all with A/B potential.

So far have played more road games than home ones...always tough with a young roster.  Also I have had a schedule heavy with the top teams having played the Warriors and Jazz 3 times, the Pacers, Kings and Grizzlies 2 times, the Nets, Raptors, Clippers & Nuggets.

Beat the Nets by 5, first win against them since they went to the lotto.

Decent 4 - 2 sim with couple of exclamation points.

Beat the Clips, Wolves two times and crushed the Pacers ( 8) ). Lost to the Clips and Grizzlies.

Mcgrady had 44 points and Forston once again had a fantastic game with 22pts, 3blocks and 19 boards against the Clippers.

Then Hoffa came back and droped 51points and 19 boards in a W vs the Wolves. Just a monstrous game by him. One game later he did it again as he once again killed the Wolves all by himself with 42points and 24 rebounds!

....and the beauty of the sim; Kings/Pacers 113:84. Win of the year so far. Mcgrady finally had a great game against his only "Tmac Stopper" Shawn Marion. 32 points, 9 asists and 14 boards and Hoffa took care of JO with 47 and 14 boards. Hard to lose a game when those 2 play that way.

Despite being only 17-11 i like this team. It can match with just about anyone. So far won the games against most of the best teams outhere; Nets, Nuggets, Clippers, Pacers, Grizzlies.

5-2 sim for the Hawks, best in team history, Kobe, Mercer and Palacio appear to produce a lot of points from the permiter and Shane Nesterovich (former 1st round pick) has actually been impressive for me scoring off the bench.  I like my team through this one sim, I played a lot of teams taht are in the middle of the pack, no top teams and maybe a few lower tier teams.  I'm pleased with this sim but they still have a lot to prove. btw, Mason Mercer getting the first triple double in Hawks history

6-2 sim, which is great since 5 of the games were on the road.  Team now has an identical road vs. home record: 11-3 for each.

Berkowitz had some outstanding games this sim: 42/14, 37/13, 29/15, 15/20,  and 20/13.  Butler had a nice sim, dropping 21 dimes (a team record) on the Warriors, leading to another team record for total team assists with 41.  Odom had a nice sim too, the highlight being his 15/23 shooting night against the Warriors for a 39/8/5 with 3 steals against only 2 TO's.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the way things are going.

That was the worst defensive performance I have ever seen from any of my teams...

You should have seen the windsprints the guys ran afterwards.  And coach did not even make them, they were just that ashamed of their performance.
