Jesus Christ look at the Nuggets.

Berk, Odom and Butler are just

12-1 and they're the 1 team to beat me.

Fell offensively this sim (99.6 ppg, 42.5% shooting).  But I kept TO's down and won the boards, and played good d.

Pettit still put up 30 ppg this sim, to go with 7.6 boards, 6.6 assists, and 1.9 steals (as well as 4.9 turnovers, ugh).

Okafor went to the okafor of old.  20.7 ppg, 15.7 rpg, 4.3 bpg, 36.9% shooting, ugh.

Boykins shot well, but not enough.  15.6 ppg, 6.9 apg, 0.4 topg, 51.1% shooting and 50% 3pt in 35 minutes.

Dalembert's not getting enough minutes.  28.2 this sim.   And his production fell as well.

Shane got hurt, Jamison jumped in and struggled.  6.4ppg, 7.3 rpg, 33.9% shooting.   glad to see Battier back.

Darko was nice off the bench.  6.5 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 2.3 bpg in 19.7 mpg.

Lord was nice as well, although he played less minutes.  5.9 ppg, 3.6 apg, 0.42 topg, 44.1% shooting.  Still doesn't have any games where he's had more than 2 to's.    Neither has boykins.

Of course, neither of them have racked up the assists quite like I would have liked, but I think that has to do with Pettit creating more.

Opponents only shot 40.9% against me, 33.3% from 3 pt range.  Surprisingly Pettit was my top defender this time, holding SG's to 35.8% (30.3% from 3).  Jamison gave up the most points (not surprisingly).

Overall, I'm a little concerned with Dalembert who's not having his typical year, and with Pettit's turnovers, but overall very happy.

That's better.  A 6-1 sim, the only loss to the Hornets (which was a terrible shooting performance)

Very pleased with the Teams performance this past sim, very pleased.

Starting to realize that maybe I shouldn't have dealt Marion to a division rival...

Pistons seem to have my number, as 2 of my 3 losses came to them (though I beat them in the last game we played.) My 3rd loss was by 1 point to the Bucks.

As expected, some guys fell back to earth; however, my team is still playing very well.

Not a very god sim although I lost some close games.

I still haven't found the right settings for this new look team, going to have to tinker a bit still

Not a good sim.

I started with 19 games in 19 days, only to get a 6-day break afterwards.  Weird scheduling.

Absolutely decimated by injuries.

Shaq is out for a while
Broderick Baylor, after an awesome outing, is out for a while.

I also had English out for a little bit.

This may be a very difficult year for the Sonics.

I just noticed that Pau Gasol is hurt with the Celtics...add to the list now that he is a Sonic.

?

I'm completely off track this season. Another 1-9 start reminds me of the 2009 season and if not for a modest 3game win streak to end the sim i'd be in full panic mode now.

Lenard sucks.
My starters go donw like flies: first Gasol, now Chauncey (which itself brought me a 3gm win streak, so maybe ...)
Reed is a legit PG
Slow is NOT Chauncey's game (like i hadn't known THAT before, silly old me ...)
I live off defense and with none i die.

I KNOW the regular season is meaningless and just by making the playoffs anything can happen, but the Celtics sure don't look improved now. Stromile is desperately needed and his arrival will solidify the frountcourt, but i'm still lost why arguably on of the best defensive teams last year, bringing back the complete crew, suddenly ranks next to last ...

don't worry, he could be back for the final three games of next sim, but i keep him on IL so you get a freshly recovered Pau ...

That's more like it.

btw Kings - Suns 69:70?! Is that the lowest scoring game ever in SSBA?

My team has yet to find it's groove but i'm hanging in on 9th place in the West which should hopefully change now that my depth chart is cleared up. Kirilenko is out for 6 days, which only means 2 games, but one of those is against the Nets. I have a nice 6 game road trip for sim three so i could really dig myself a hole, but i'm interested that i get to see Beardslee's starting numbers, since he improved so much in TC.

From a 1-4 sim to a 5-2. What a turnaround. Of course, no defense, but I don't expect that to change any time soon. Keogan is doing a solid job leading the offense, though I would like him to shoot the three better. Chamberlain is playing out of his mind, and Brad Miller is playing very nicely as well. And a side note, Spurs pick is looking pretty good...

8-0 sim.  Boy, I wasn't kidding when I posted in the win prediction thread that I thought my team was much improved.

Anyway, Butler is doing an absolutely tremendous job thus far.  17 ppg on 51% shooting, 5 rpg, and 11 apg.  Only downside is the 4.3 turnovers per game; had one game with 9!  He needs to cut down on that big-time.

Odom has been the biggest transaction of the offseason, IMO.  He's averaging 26/8/5 thus far, on 55% shooting, and appears to have opened the team's other options up big-time.

Berkowitz, despite being a third option this year after being the team's lone weapon last year, has picked up where he left off after his ROY performance: 22 and 13 with 2 bpg.

Drobnjak and Pachulia combine forces to produce one super-Euro center: 14 points and 13 boards between them.  Okay, maybe it's not super, but it's perfect for my team.

And Stockton, who I seriously thought about not resigning, has stepped up and done a credible job in the starting lineup, moving last year's starter, Juan Ward, to backup duty.

Overall, the team is shooting 50%, so I expect some regression to the mean there.  Butler has proven that he can shoot around 50%, so I don't expect him to fall off too much; now his assists, those I expect to drop.  But Odom and Stockton will most likely see their production fall a bit soon, at least in terms of fg%.

I'm thrilled, to say the least.  It's been nice to have some home games early on, as the last couple years have seen the Nuggets' schedule backloaded with home games; since the teams weren't good then, the rough starts on the road had a snowball effect that essentially negated the second-half home advantage.

Ernest Profit deserves his damn minutes. too bad, I'll need to go defensive next sim. dang.

5-1 better than expected

Magloire was out after game 1 but marion played incredible and picked up his scoring.
in the 5 games without magloire he avg. 36.8pts 12rbs
i never expected that anyone could avg more than 30 next to JO and the rebound numbers are even more amazing since i have also JO and Foster avg. more than 10 per game.
Elliot, Artest and Fisher are doing a nice job also.
Monroe really played well and is now earning his minutes.

Nothing to be thrilled with 5-2 against most of the non - playoff teams but still, this teams started to click since i put Hoffa as #1 option (shocker). As a result Tmac's scoring went down but his % went up, Hoffa just exploded and Bibby is passing better. I'll definitely stick with that.

Highlights;

Huge win vs the Grizzlies as Hoffa erupted for 44/13

50+ blow out against the Bulls as Hoffa % Mcgrady combined for 87 points!!  Bibby had 10/15, Bosh chipped in 17/7 and Camby with 17 boards and 7 asists.

Vs the Sixers Hoffa had 35/19 and Tmac with 27/9/5

....and oh yeah, just forgot. 30 point blow out against the Celtics (this what happens when you talk to much  :D ) as Hoffa & Tmac again combined for 80 points! Shall we say the most powerfull duo in the league?
Bibby with season high 18 asists also.

With couple of defensive additions this team can rock with the best of them.

Raptors are very happy with the 4-1 sim, when Jefferson gets here, this is gonna be a team that can win now and in the future.

A look at the stats for this sim:

C: Yao Ming - 35.8mpg, 33.4ppg, 12.2rpg, 1.8apg, 3.8bpg, 1.0spg, 2.0topg, (14FGMpg, 27.6FGApg = 50.7%)

--Yao had an off-sim, he's having a tough time staying on the court with Holman at PF....hopefully that gets better when Jefferson gets here. Still, anytime 33 and 12 is an off-sim, you know you have the best player in the league.

PF: Gregory Holman - 25.2mpg, 8ppg, 8.2rpg, 1.6apg, 2.8bpg, 1.4spg, 1.2topg, (3.4FGMpg, 8.4FGApg = 40.1%)

--If he want's to keep starting, he's gonna have to shoot the ball better. I'm going to assume Holman is a pretty bad man defender since he is such a good shotblocker. If I hadn't gone 4-1 this sim, I would be replacing him in the starting lineup.

Reserve PF/C: Leocida Garcia - 23.4mpg, 6.8ppg, 6.8rpg, 1.6apg, 0.4bpg, 0.6spg, 0.2topg, (2.8FGMpg, 7.4FGApg = 37.8%)

--Welcome to the bigs, young lad, and expect more nights like your 1 of 11 performance. Doing all I ask off the bench. I'm going to assume that Garcia is a pretty good man defender, since he can't block a shot wirth shit, so he might be getting a chance to start pretty soon.

SF: Roberto Dickau - 35.2mpg, 16.4ppg, 6.4rpg, 2.2apg, 0.8bpg, 0.8spg, 2.4topg, (6.2FGpg, 13FGApg = 47.7%)

--Wow, apparently all he wanted was to have the ball in his hands less. The negative a:to ratio is alarming, but since it's only over a 5 games span, I won't worry about it too much. Expect Dickau to be in a Raptors uniform for a long time.

SG: Darius Perry - 36.4mpg, 8.8ppg, 7.4rpg, 2.8apg, 0.4bpg, 2.2spg, 0.4topg, (3.6FGMpg, 8.4FGMpg = 42.3%)

--Very, very happy with the number of minutes Perry was able to eat at SG, and 7.4 rebounds per game is amazing for a 6 foot tall kid. The backcourt of Dickau/Perry/Max is gonna be here for a while, so get used to it.

PG: Maximanio Guiterrez - 35.6mpg, 15.4ppg, 7rpg, 9.8apg, 0.0bpg, 1.6spg, 1.6topg, (6.6FGMpg, 14.4FGApg = 45.8%)

--My backcourt of 2 6 footers is getting 14.4 rebounds a game? Damn. This kid is amazing, just an all around player, and the sky is the limit. That Hoffa trade looks great for me, all because of this kid.

Reserve PG: Darius Arbogast - 12.4mpg, 6.2ppg, 1.2rpg, 2.6apg, 0.0bpg, 0.8spg, 1.2topg, (2.6FGMpg, 5.4FGApg = 48.1%)

--Some great numbers in small minutes. With a good TC next year, he could be something...just gotta improve on that defense.

Overall, I'm very happy. Looking ahead to tommorow's sim, I play just 4 games, 3 on the road. A 3-1 looks resonable.

Well, I missed a couple things.  Congratulations to Kirk Hinrich, winning his first player of the week award in Week 3.

And in that same week, he had his 4th career triple double against the Suns, scoring 25 pts, 12 assists, and pulling down 10 rebounds.  Congrats Kirk, well done.

Went 4-2 to bring me up to .500. No matter how we finish, I like this team a whole lot more than any other one I have had - I now field a team that can play the type of game that I want all of my teams to play.
