Title: Sim 12 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on November 16, 2005, 08:54:22 PM 5-3. 65-17 for the season (1 off last years pace). Most importantly, no injuries.
Of course, I draw the Pacers first round. Ugh. Never liked playing them. 76ers pick at 7. I'll take it. Title: Sim 12 Discussion Post by: HawksGM on November 16, 2005, 09:09:28 PM Amare ended the season with an absolutely dominating sim. I'm kinda optimistic about next season but I obviously need to get a few more pieces before I'm any kind of threat to teams who are on the verge of making the playoffs. I think with a good TC I will no longer be the worst team.
Title: Sim 12 Discussion Post by: GoldenStateGM on November 16, 2005, 09:25:59 PM The good news, is that my team is the 3rd best home team in the league.
The Bad news... I lost homecourt in the playoffs, and I play the Kings. Looks like another first round exit. And congrats to Hinrich, the All League 2nd team point guard. Well deserved :) Title: Sim 12 Discussion Post by: RaptorsGM on November 16, 2005, 09:50:07 PM Thrilled, went 6-2, 3 time MVP Yao murdered 7 of 8 teams...excluding the Nets.
Inexplicable loss to the Lakers. Spurs pick stays lottery at 13th. Heat pick at T10th....hopefully they win the coin toss. Also caught 5th in the East, much hotter than the Bulls who I am playing...won the season sereies 3-1, only loss coming when Hoffa shit the bed. Can't wait for Saturday. Title: Sim 12 Discussion Post by: RaptorsGM on November 16, 2005, 09:51:11 PM Hiliarious...first and 2nd team all rookie C's are both undrafted FAs who failed to play a single game...for the record Odom was on my team :)
Title: Sim 12 Discussion Post by: HornetsGM on November 16, 2005, 10:05:21 PM Cool, my 1st 60 win season :D
I have to admit, I am shamefully happy that Jason Kidd is out for the first 3 days of the playoffs. I really want to make it out of the 1st round this year, and I haven't exactly been strong against the Magic. Hopefully I break that two year streak this season; there are never any guarantees in the playoffs. I really need Ben Wallace to step up against Howard. Also, thank the SSBA gods that Duncan isn't in the POs this year (no offense Heat.) Title: Sim 12 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on November 16, 2005, 10:11:13 PM Quote I have to admit, I am shamefully happy that Jason Kidd is out for the first 3 days of the playoffs. Kidd's on the IL. He's shutdown for the year. Title: Sim 12 Discussion Post by: CavsGM on November 16, 2005, 10:20:38 PM Hmm...Celtics...Should be a nice series...

Can't wait til I get some time to crunch the stats tommorow. Title: Sim 12 Discussion Post by: RaptorsGM on November 16, 2005, 10:28:03 PM Holy Fuck...when did Emeka have a 33 rebound game? Christ dandy.
Title: scared Post by: GrizzliesGM on November 16, 2005, 10:31:19 PM My team is on a tear, even without Jeff Robertson who imo should have been 6th man of the year. I play the Sonics and am predicting a six game series in favor of the sonics. Oh well, there is always next year.

I remember the Nets holding me to like 50points 2years ago in the playoffs. I remember Mason Mercer getting 12 steals against my team and now this... If you want records in the record book, just play my team and you'll get it... Title: Sim 12 Discussion Post by: MagicGM on November 17, 2005, 05:29:20 AM Quote from: RaptorsGM Quote from: NetsGM Quote I have to admit, I am shamefully happy that Jason Kidd is out for the first 3 days of the playoffs. Title: Sim 12 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on November 17, 2005, 07:03:36 AM It's also on the rules page:
http://ssba.phillyarena.net/files/rules.htm#roster_playoff It's not a "me" rule, it's an FBB rule. Once I sim day 120 on FBB the program locks the rosters. There's nothing I can do to manually override it either. It sucks. It's stupid. But we gotta deal with it. Title: Sim 12 Discussion Post by: CelticsGM on November 17, 2005, 08:00:34 AM Celtics end the season on a 6-1 sim and a pretty high note at that.
At 52-30 by far the best season this team ever had and 4th best record league-wide too. Especially the 25-16 road record makes me proud of this team. Overall, the Celtics are top 3 in the league in scoring (104ppg), fg% (.459), opp fg% (.425) and LEAD the league in TOs (just below 12) as well as STL/TO differential BOTH on offense AND on defense !!! Yes, it's been a marvelous campaign so far for us. In this sim, Gasol wen't down in the first game but thanks to some roster moves Duncan was able to step right in at C and provided 11/12/3 and solid defense. Kidd took over for Billups and didn't exactly earn some accolades there (8ppg, 4apg, low TO, good%) but his counterparts didn't go off either (4 TOs). Antonio Lenard finished the season with a 30ppg sim, kept his FG% above .500 for the year and earned a spot on the All League 2nd Team (the lone Celtic honored). Congratulations, Tony ! Next up: The Cavs, thanks to some free-fall during the latter part of the season which allowed the Raptors to sneak by. Gasol will be back for me, so i'm close to full strength again. This is going to be an interesting matchup i'm looking forward to ... 8) Title: Sim 12 Discussion Post by: KingsGM-old on November 17, 2005, 10:53:44 AM wow, 8-1 without Tmac for the most of the games. Marbury was just wonderfull at sg.
And, not to forget, Day 111: Nets - Kings 89:102, oh yeah, oh yeeeah, oh yeeeeeahhhhhh. :) Title: Sim 12 Discussion Post by: KingsGM-old on November 17, 2005, 11:08:35 AM Can't belive Bibby is left out on All Team selections....
Shaun Livingston is so overated. Damn team record.... :? Title: Sim 12 Discussion Post by: MavsGM on November 17, 2005, 05:11:26 PM Barely made the playoffs, will play the Clippers in the first round. Never match up well against clippers. :x
Title: Sim 12 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on November 17, 2005, 07:45:16 PM Magic, you owe Celtics your season. He's shown me a workaround to allow you to change your dc. pm me your new dc with your new IL.

the Lakers this sim were just not acceptable, but well its not like i'm competing for PO or some something :) This team is scoring pretty balanced, so no big numbers ever, usually 5-8 guys between 10 and 25 points all season. Schultz proved that he'll soon be one of best SG's in league, already an all-star player. Buehler even with his size can jump pretty good.If i can get a experienced and great PF in offseason, he'll be a monster man on SF. Now my prayers go again for off-season, and hopefully "Perry" case won't happen, i'll try to be sober when submitting the list. |
