Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: NetsGM on November 12, 2005, 09:53:55 PM Controversy to follow........................
No, my laptop is just having issues (NIC card needs to be replaced) and I won't be home until tomorrow. Calm yourselves, I was just pissed the other day. Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: SonicsGM on November 12, 2005, 09:58:27 PM Well done. Take your time
Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: MagicGM on November 12, 2005, 10:00:31 PM so, morning tomorrow perhaps?
Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: BlazersGM on November 12, 2005, 10:08:34 PM Ok, its cool, hope nothing serious
Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: RaptorsGM on November 12, 2005, 10:19:31 PM Bods, I love you. I need you to understand that :)
Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: RaptorsGM on November 13, 2005, 07:07:40 PM Cool, 4-3 sim, 3 of the wins by just 1 point, proving I can win close games.
Wonder why Justin Bass was listed as a C throughout....must just be a mis print. Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: RaptorsGM on November 13, 2005, 07:10:18 PM Now am in 7th spot in the Eastern Conference....just 1/2 game out of 6th, that would be nice.
My picks are now at 8th (Heat) and 17th (Spurs). It's too bad that the Spurs came on so hot all the sudden. Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: NetsGM on November 13, 2005, 07:13:34 PM Sim 11 will still be tomorrow night. No big deal since you can't make trades anymore.
5-2 sim. Not bad. Sammy's back now, that's good. 76ers went 3-5, that's good. Some other teams (Wizards, Nuggets) continue to struggle, so pick falls to 7th, with the Heat very close. That's bad. Emeka had a 27 pts (on 15 shots), 25 rebounds, 7 block, 4 assist game against Pau Gasol and the Celtics  I finally beat the Hornets. Of course, it took Marion going out for me to do so. Sonics still destroy me. Dirk just loves Emeka. Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: KingsGM-old on November 13, 2005, 07:14:37 PM NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
   :bash: :bash: Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: NetsGM on November 13, 2005, 07:17:00 PM I think he'll be back for game 3 of the first round.
Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: RaptorsGM on November 13, 2005, 07:18:50 PM Pietrus out for 4 days with a broken nose...not good, but I can handle it with Longley. Only play 1 game in that span anyway.
Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: BlazersGM on November 13, 2005, 07:19:31 PM 3-5, played all PO teams, not bad, lost 1 game by 1 again, and well i'll give further comments later, need to take a deeper look at what happened, i am satisfied tough considerin which teams i played, but still i lost many games by 1 point this season and won just one, it could have been 4-4, but well.

Hey, I ain't complaining. Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: CavsGM on November 13, 2005, 08:43:13 PM Full sim but the team goes a poor 4-6. But Carter was out for the last 7 games so that was a big part of the disappointing sim. Gooden had a game with 20 rebounds and another game where he was 1 assist away from what would have been his first career triple-double. How about Vince Keogan, dropping games of 43, 47, and 51 points. Dude can flat out score, averaging an incredible 21 PPG in 27 minutes. If his defense can improve, he will be a superstar. Holton had a career high 9 blocks in 1 game, he's a machine. With Carter back I think this team can have a nice final stretch.
Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: SonicsGM on November 13, 2005, 08:57:28 PM 8-1 and finally hitting my stride.
Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: HornetsGM on November 13, 2005, 10:43:32 PM Went 6-2. Marion got hurt, but only for a few days, so I'm happy about that.
Soon I will have to decide if it's worth chasing the Nets for the top spot, or play my starters less to make injuries less of a possibility. I'd also like to make it to 60 wins. BTW, Lavar Piatowski did really well in Marion's absence. He had 23 points and 6 boards against the Hawks, 23 points and 9 boards against the Magic, and 23 points against the Nets. Not bad at all for a backup. Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: MagicGM on November 14, 2005, 05:32:01 AM bull 1-5.
Dwight almost schooled Pau on a losing effort. 23 pts, 23 rebounds 4 blocks. Gone are the days of losing sims after lineup changes or trades, kicked off with 4 wins before getting humiliated by the Nets and gave up a double digit lead to the Clippers in the fourth quarter (i mean you CAN lose to those powerhouses, but i't always HOW you lose *lol*) and followed that with another 4 victories. Won two VERY important matchups with the Magic (i own their pick) and alos assisted Spurs on the Blazers pick (btw, Al Jefferson had a rock solid sim for them too). Won a matchup with the Bucks where I was outshot big time (39% to 52%) AND outrebounded (46 to 54) Oberservations: Etan Thomas might look like somewhat of a disappointment (just 12/8 and a block) but - I won 8 rebounding battles and lost only one (1 tie) - Gasol had much more freedom to operate without covering for AlJeff defensively (apart from the poor outings vs Nets/Clippers he got me 17/14/5 with 2 blocks on 47%) - Backup Booth also was far more effective and active (8.5 boards, 3 blocks) RJeff had a quiet 9/3/2 but was helping my backcourt on the defensive end. and Billups got his act together, lowering his TOs back to an acceptable level So whats left? 11 more games to play with 3.5 ahead of the Bulls and 6 of the Cavs means a solid 3rd spot is almost assured. Hornets and Nets are far away and the rest of the season i'll be giving some young kids more time. I love my team now ... 8) Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: KingsGM-old on November 14, 2005, 07:06:55 AM That far?! That far?! How far? Being a 8th seed and facing a Clippers without Hoffa for the first 3 games?!
Actually i'm seriously considering to quit. I wasted 3 weeks of my life to get Hoffa and Camby. For what? For fucking nothing. Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: PacersGM on November 14, 2005, 07:42:53 AM 4-3 is ok for the moment
finally i think i have found a C who can play next to JO as a non option Magloire avg. 19/13 with 1.5blks very nice defense also Collier avg. 10 pts in 24 mins but his rebounding might give him a seat behind foster Magloire also had a career high game with 22 reb and one with 37 pts very nice my backcourt had some troubles to defend the guards Melo did his usual damage on the other side to compensate for some defense problems but elliot is possible still one TC away for being a full time starter. his stats are very solid for a first start with 8 ass and shooting over 50% but he also had troubles to stopp tony parker and billups. Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: KingsGM-old on November 14, 2005, 07:48:41 AM Talking about irony. The year i won against the Warriors in the 1st round he have had Hoffa on IL. I just looked at the standings and there is possibilite i might face the Warriors again in the first round, and Hoffa injurie could once AGAIN decide the final outcome!

Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: KingsGM-old on November 14, 2005, 08:19:06 AM Am i not worried about regular season AT ALL! atlhough off course some chemistry and winning streaks wouldn't hurt either!
You wanna tell me that Hoffa could help me with being down 0-2 against the Sonics or 0-3 against the Clippers?! Yeah right. I belive in my team but i'm not a blind idiot neither. Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: RaptorsGM on November 14, 2005, 12:18:47 PM Allright, crunched the stats, individual stats first, team stats to follow...
C: Yao Ming - 37mpg, 31.7ppg, 14.6rpg, 1.9apg, 3.6bpg, 0.9spg, 3.3topg, (27.1FGApg, 11.9FGMpg = 43.9%) --Tough sim for the big man, not the kind of shooting numbers I have grown accustomed to seeing. Will try the same pace tonight, and if that doesn't work will have to make a change. PF: Jamal Sampson - 25.3mpg, 10.4ppg, 10.3rpg, 1.7apg, 0.4bpg, 0.6spg, 1.6topg, (12.6FGApg, 4.7FGMpg = 37.3%) --Man, Sampson if you would improve your shooting touch, you would be such a great player for such a great price. Averaging a double-double in 25 mins is great, but the 37% makes me want to bench you. PF: Jamal Del Negro - 22.4mpg, 9.4ppg, 3.9rpg, 0.9apg, 0.1bpg, 1.0spg, 0.9topg, (7.6FGApg, 3.3FGMpg = 43.4%) --Another player where a poor shooting performance takes away from an otherwise stellar sim...should I start you over Sampson, JDN? SF: Tayshaun Prince - 28.7mpg, 5.3ppg, 5.9rpg, 2apg, 0.7bpg, 1.1spg, 1.4topg, (5.4FGApg, 2.3FGMpg = 42.6%) --Lovin' your ability to rebound the ball, Prince, but you gotta shoot it better and more often. I want to see you taking an equal number of shots to Sampson, and right now you are taking 7 less per game. SG: Mickael Pietrus - 28.7mpg, 4.9ppg, 4.1rpg, 2.1apg, 0.3bpg, 0.9spg, 1.6topg, (5.9FGApg, 1.9FGMpg = 32.2%) -- :puke: What the fuck happened, Mike? You were playing so good for so long, and then you decide to score 5 on 32%, and only grab 4? That is no good. I'll give you a chance for redemption the last 6 days of this sim after your nose gets fixed, but with Kareem playing well behind you, you have alot to prove. SF/SG: Kareem Longley - 24.1ppg, 5.6ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.4apg, 1.1bpg, 1spg, 0.9topg, (5.6FGApg, 2.4FGMpg = 42.9%) --Man, over 1 block and steal per game AND under 1 turnover? The classic bench player right here. If that B potential turns true, you are going to be "the man". PG: Max Guiterrez - 32.1mpg, 14.6ppg, 4rpg, 6.7apg, 0.6bpg, 0.9spg, 2topg, (12.3FGApg, 5.9FGMpg = 47.9%) --Well, I prefer the 12 and 9, but you did play as a viable 2nd option Max, and that's something I really, really need. You are doing exactly what I ask of you. I only which that you were taking a few more shots, as my non-option terrible shooting PF is taking more than you. PG: Darius Perry - 15.6mpg, 9ppg, 3.6rpg, 3.9apg, 0.0bpg, 1.4spg, 1.4topg, (6FGApg, 3.1FGMpg = 51.7%) --Umm...what? Perry, you are incredible, I have to find a way to get you more minutes. Damn, I really think you are going to be a player. 9 4 and 4 in 16 minutes? Damn. And, finally, my backup C...Bass  C: Justin Bass - 11.9mpg, 6ppg, 2.8rpg, 1.3apg, 0.3bpg, 0.4spg, 1topg, (4.7FGApg, 2.4FGMpg = 51.1%) -Damn, Bass, I'm most impressed that you can get the ball off 5 times in 1 minutes!! But you're also going to be deserving more time too. And you'll get it, you've earned it. Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: BlazersGM on November 14, 2005, 12:31:35 PM Started with a big losses at Rockets,Spurs and Warriors.
Then got back home and played and won vs Warriors again, Buehler really suprises me being undersized PF he was grabbing around 13rpg this seem...improving from game to game. Jazz lost again, they really hate me, this time was 137-112, 9 players with double digits.Al with 19 in 16 minutes :) Schultz had a big name vs Spurs altough we lost by 1, 30p and 15 rebs, Buehler added 15/12 and Russel 25 points. Telf was big in win over Wolves, 31/11 with 6 steals. Got nicely crushed by 33 in Boston. 3-5, could have been 4-4 with a bit of luck...but well played 7 PO teams and one still contending for place, so i'm satisfied with this sim. Also this team is lucky with injury's, since i took over 2 years ago, still none of my players had any injury. For next sim i have high hopes, playing 4 weakest teams in league, one team with same record as mine, Clipps are coming to Portland, last time they went defeated, hopefully this time too, and going to NJ, there i really have no hopes, however i'm expecting best sim of season 6-1 or at least 5-2, considering team is playing better and better from sim to sim and teams i'll be playing. Title: Sim 10 Delayed Post by: RaptorsGM on November 14, 2005, 12:43:59 PM Got outscored 103.3 to 99.1, so I am glad this was a winning sim.
Thinking of trying a normal pace this sim. Maybe that will get Mike/Tayshaun more involved. Also probably going to start Wright over Sampson in hopes to have more shots for the rest of the team. Can't wait for tonight's sim. |
