Title: Hawks/Raptors Trades - doesn't work. Post by: HawksGM on November 09, 2005, 09:33:40 PM giving up Bass was tough to do. He's only 19 and I think he'll be a good offensive player and a solid defensive player. With that said I couldn't pass up to get Steve Nash who is like a veteran Sandy Carter. I'm probably too far out to make the playoffs this year but I'm pushing for it next season. Nash is aged and is "on his last legs" but he won't turn the ball over and he will give me a dangerous outside shooter. I'm hoping he and Amare work better this time around than they did with the Suns early in the SSBA.
Title: Hawks/Raptors Trades - doesn't work. Post by: RaptorsGM on November 09, 2005, 09:54:29 PM Well, for me, it's an easy trade to make - Nash is a non factor for me with the addition of Perry.
It's tough to see him go, but he's lost at least a step, if not 2 this year, and I doubt he has many years left. I like Bass, if you could improve to B B offense with B+ defense that would be fantastic. It just adds to the youth movement for the Raptors. I know have a disgusting mass of talent at the 1 2 and 3.....just need to get another big man or two, and that's what the draft is for. But with Pietrus, Prince, Longley, Bass, Lovelette, Perry, Max and Stevie to play 3 positions, I have a ton of decent talent. Title: Hawks/Raptors Trades - doesn't work. A calculator is all I need... Title: Hawks/Raptors Trades - doesn't work. Post by: CelticsGM on November 10, 2005, 03:34:12 PM A brain is all I need. Guess we all should be able to sum up a couple of (rounded) salaries and add/substract 15% from that sum.
Oh and then take the +/- 100.000 tolerance into account and the illegal money the player himself asks for (has to be paid preferably in Hummers). Gosh, we are a degenerated society nowadays ...
