Title: Raptors Blazers Trade Post by: RaptorsGM on November 08, 2005, 05:31:55 PM Raptors Trade:
Mike James Blazers Trade: Darius Perry Raptors accept. Title: Raptors Blazers Trade Post by: BlazersGM on November 08, 2005, 05:41:55 PM Quote from: RaptorsGM Raptors Trade: Mike James Blazers Trade: Darius Perry Raptors accept. I accept, need to get rid of his contract or i'm screwed fpr FA, and next season FA is last one i'll have money for in upcoming seasons, need to try to catch "NO Perry" guy for the sake of Blazers . :D Title: Raptors Blazers Trade Post by: KingsGM-old on November 08, 2005, 05:42:46 PM Raps went crazy
Title: Raptors Blazers Trade Post by: RaptorsGM on November 08, 2005, 06:37:36 PM Yeah, big contract. But who cares when you've JDN, and are about to have Pietrus and Prince signed to bi contracts.
He played pretty good last sim, and that A potential could make him a player. Title: Raptors Blazers Trade Post by: SixersGM on November 09, 2005, 05:54:39 AM On first look, you got to say.. Damn why did the raps do the deal?!
But look at how Perry has been playing. He got one heck of a assist to turnover ratio 4:1 plus 2.3spg. But i still dont know why the raps need to do the deal, when they got 2 very good PGs on their team. I shiver in excitement ... Title: Raptors Blazers Trade Post by: CelticsGM on November 09, 2005, 06:31:57 AM Raps, please don't take that personal, it's really nothing against you, but this HAD to be said *lol*
I actually like this deal for you and with Max/Perry you seem to be set for some time (although quite young now and youth seldom means success) Title: Raptors Blazers Trade Post by: RaptorsGM on November 09, 2005, 09:08:46 AM Quote from: CelticsGM Raps, please don't take that personal, it's really nothing against you, but this HAD to be said *lol* I actually like this deal for you and with Max/Perry you seem to be set for some time (although quite young now and youth seldom means success) No, I understand, if you had to pick on one o my PGs, Perry would be the obvious fit :) Well, youth translates into success down the road. I've gone young, and now I have to stick with this team for years to come in hopes of getting a title. Title: Raptors Blazers Trade Post by: KingsGM-old on November 09, 2005, 09:40:14 AM You're all crazy. This is the greatest risk in the history of SSBA. 10 milion a year for a backup - one sim wonder - 2nd rounder?!
Title: Raptors Blazers Trade Post by: BlazersGM on November 09, 2005, 10:14:29 AM Hey 1st pick of 2nd round :D

But since the Raps are already over the cap, and will be for a long time, heck, what's another 10 million. It does pretty much destroy any future possiblity of going under the cap, though. Already have JDN signed to the big one, and Pietrus and Prince will both be signed to big contracts this offseason. Screw cap space, it gets you no where. None of the top names ever come out, and if they do, they always resign. Title: Raptors Blazers Trade Post by: CelticsGM on November 09, 2005, 12:38:33 PM Quote from: RaptorsGM Exactly. Now cap space aside (which is vastly overrated anyway), do you really think THIS is a good decision from a business standpoint ? Title: Raptors Blazers Trade Post by: RaptorsGM on November 09, 2005, 12:39:55 PM How about you run your time and I will run mine?
Title: Raptors Blazers Trade Post by: CelticsGM on November 09, 2005, 12:53:00 PM Quote from: RaptorsGM How about you run your time and I will run mine? Hehe, good point. Sorry, thats really not my business ... But feel free to rip my decisions as well. I'd really appreciate that, it keeps me questioning my very moves myself a lot more. And it makes this league here so special that so many different guys are commenting and get involved. :) Title: Raptors Blazers Trade Post by: RaptorsGM on November 09, 2005, 01:26:09 PM There's a difference between making constructive comments and just coming off as rude.
Your comment could have been taken as constructive if not for the rolling of the eyes. IMO that is compleletly unneccesary. Title: Raptors Blazers Trade Post by: GoldenStateGM on November 09, 2005, 01:38:14 PM Lol...
It's just funny. Every time someone trades to get youthful and younger, the general consensus is they they got taken. Title: Raptors Blazers Trade Post by: KingsGM-old on November 09, 2005, 01:40:04 PM Why do you constantly claim that Pietrus and Prince will get big contracts? Do you realize i signed them for ONLY 4 mil a year? On ONLY 1 year contract?

Off course i know that. But he thinks he'll need to spend some big cash to resign them while that's not the case at all. Building around Yao and Max + resigning Prince and Pietrus could still leave him with (under assumption that he trades Nash and JND) with some money to land some serious talent. Now with this trade i don't think that's possible anymore. |
