Title: Sim 4 Post by: NetsGM on October 30, 2005, 07:18:02 AM OK, seriously kings, nobody gives 2 shits about what you did last night. If you can't stop it, I will disallow you from posting on all boards except the essentials (trade board, etc).
Title: Sim 4 Post by: KingsGM-old on October 30, 2005, 07:36:31 AM argh! i have to share the thoughts with somebody in the late hours!!
what happen to sim? Title: Sim 4 Post by: NetsGM on October 30, 2005, 07:44:28 AM saying what asn unbleievable nigt god im a drunk isn't sharing thoughts.
The sim's being done now. Title: Sim 4 Post by: NetsGM on October 30, 2005, 08:04:23 AM Emeka went down for 8 days, but luckily I didn't play much. Went 4-1.
Title: Sim 4 Post by: MagicGM on October 30, 2005, 08:30:05 AM impressive 5-1. :D
I'm liking this team a lot. :D Dwight lit up Raptors with 40 and 11 rebound to go along with 6 steals - Michael Stewart everybody :D Kidd was also a rebound shy from registering a tripledouble. against the Wiz, my backcourt of brice and Kidd were a rebound and an assist shy away from registering a double double respectively :D I happen to have had the LeBron stopper... :D j/k Brice held LeBron to 8 point is 3 of 15 shooting while he lit him up with 8 of 12. Impressive how Ernest Profit continued to give me some outside scoring shooting a league's best 61%. :D Mangrum had his 1st playing sim as he registered 3.7 asts with just .3 to's. :D beat that Maximiano!!! :D Title: Sim 4 Post by: CavsGM on October 30, 2005, 08:54:35 AM 5-3, not bad. Gooden was out for most of the sim too, so that hurt. Carter just continues to play well, now shooting 50%. Tsakalidis is blocking shots like crazy. Team is looking alright. Unfortunately, now all of my picks except for the Suns are non-lotto.
Title: Sim 4 Post by: RaptorsGM on October 30, 2005, 09:28:38 AM 4-4 sim, better than the last, think I knw what I need to do now.
Lost twice to the Sonics who were hot, and once to the heat and the magic....but beat the Nets :) Beat the Pacers 124-100, as Yao had 48 and Hoffa had 35...wow. Like the Magic said, got lit up by Dwight, a Hoffa fouled out in 17 minutes, and Yao only played 33. Got by the Pistons easily behind Yao's 41 and 18, Hoffa's 30 and 19. Beat the Nets, in NJ (without Emeka). Hoffa played only 15 minutes aganist Miler. Yao had 45and 13. Yao had 41 and 22 with 8 blocks as I beat the Bulls. Dirk dropped 52 (!!) on me as the Sonics thrashed me in the first game of a back-to-back.....He then had 9 (!!) the second game but they still beat me. Heat got me by 5 in what was the clincher between a good sim and a medicore one...Yao had 49 and 15. Overall, I saw some positive things, a few tweaks here and there and I should be bac up there into homecourt advantage. Yao was the player of the month for month 2. Title: Sim 4 Post by: BlazersGM on October 30, 2005, 10:01:57 AM 4-5 :D , damn Al plays too much, what do i need to do to give Buehler more minutes ? put him on IR it seems :D
Title: Sim 4 Post by: KingsGM-old on October 30, 2005, 11:11:51 AM WOW!
One point against the Hawks prevented me from being unbeaten. 7-1 sim! My lineup with 3 bigs is working again. Title: Sim 4 Post by: HornetsGM on October 30, 2005, 11:20:12 AM Not a very good sim for me. I made a lineup change that didn't work out and Livingston was out for a couple of games. The good news is that Sura was one assist away from recording a triple double. If only he could shoot overall what he shoots from three....
Back to the old lineup, hopefully that was the problem. Title: Sim 4 Post by: KingsGM-old on October 30, 2005, 11:30:24 AM Danny Fortson, i love you man! :)
A double double machine. 16/13, 16/15, 24/19, 17/18, 21/5/16, 15/11, that's a All Star numbers. Great pickup. With Bibby out, Marbury was beatifull; 20/11, 10/12, 18/7. And i also had 2 triple doubles this sim. Bibby with 26pts, 13as, 10rebs vs Suns and Tracy with 18pts, 13as and 10 rebs vs the Warriors. Title: Sim 4 Post by: GoldenStateGM on October 30, 2005, 11:43:57 AM Well, had a very good sim, considering the circumstances...
Went 4-0 until injuries decimated my team, 1-3 after the injuries Kobe Bryant and Luol Deng have joined Stromile Swift on training table, although thank goodness for much shorter time periods. The Warrios have really come together this year. Just wish they could play injury free for a while. Looks like there is still some left-over Pierce curse. Title: Sim 4 Post by: CelticsGM on October 30, 2005, 01:43:36 PM I'm really getting used to these winning sims. Celtics went 6-2 with some nice road wins at Pacers, Bucks and Rockets. Only downside was a 1pt loss to the Hornets in a beautiful defensive-minded matchup where both teams failed to shoot even 34%. Gotta love those games.
Otherwise my team did great, I took the league lead again in opp. FG% and TOs and stay among the league leaders in PPG, opp PPG and many more. Lenard continues his hot streak and really leads my team on both ends of the floor. But the young guys push ahead, Jefferson really is a good starter now, and more backups are just waiting for their chance. I guess it's save to say i'm argueably the deepest team in the league from #6 to #12 and don't feel i'd miss a beat if one of my starters would go down. In the frontcourt Booth and Duncan are ready, Jefferson would take over for Lenard and in the backcourt Van Exel and Elliott proved already they can start anytime. What's ahead? 12 of my next 16 are on the road where I'm currently a not so stellar 8-6. So it's about time I work on my road record a little bit ... 8) Title: Sim 4 Post by: SonicsGM on October 30, 2005, 03:38:06 PM Lost the first four, then won the next five. Odd.
Also odd: Dirk with 52 then 9 against Araujo and company. Shaq is performing very nicely. Somehow, Ronald Conradt, who is not even in my DC, gets 20 minutes in a game. Not sure why. Title: Sim 4 Post by: MavsGM on October 30, 2005, 04:21:50 PM Playing very well lately. This time we went 4-2. Boykins is impressing me as a third option.

I will take you up on that challenge :) I feel I have one of the deepest teams in the league right now as well, and having gone through the season so far with a number of injuries already (Deng, Kobe, Swift, and Ruffin), the team has continued to win. Ruffin has been awesome as a back-up PF and C, and a more then capable starter when Swift goes down. Rubini is a young player, and huge, who can rebound. Foyle has been quite effective off the bench, and broke my team record for rebounds while Swift and Ruffin were down with injuries. Iggy has been a very nice back-up for both Deng and Hinrich. Odd that a player can play SF and PG almost equally well. Springs is short (6'2") but an excellent shooter, and a surprisingly good rebounder when Kobe goes down. But don't tempt the SSBA gods with a quote like this... Quote don't feel i'd miss a beat if one of my starters would go down I have 3 starters down right now :( Title: Sim 4 Post by: HornetsGM on October 31, 2005, 02:19:53 PM My Backups:
C: Robert Swift C 22 7'0'' 245 C+ C- C- A- B PF: Brian Skinner C 32 6'9'' 265 C+ D+ D- A- C+ SF: Stephen Jackson SF 30 6'8'' 218 B- B C A- C- SG: Lavar Piatkowski SG 25 6'7'' 234 B- C C A- D+ PG: Curtis Sura PG 23 5'9'' 195 C- A- A- A- C- That starting 5 could beat a couple regular starting 5s. Maybe I will try that at the end of the season if I have nothing to play for. Title: Sim 4 Post by: MavsGM on October 31, 2005, 03:11:01 PM I doubt you backup 5 can beat a team. They are not going to put up points.

Maybe I will try that at the end of the season if I have nothing to play for. Damn, I wish I had that chance. But my season quest for the best league record will run right through the last sim. But on a sidenote: I just now realize that when I was talking about the team depth I actually meant disparity between starters and subs. How much would your team lose if a starter goes down and his backup takes the starting role. So the main reason I proclaimed myself "deep" in that sense is that a) my starters are not these irreplaceable superstars b) my subs, who would likely lose any matchup with the Hornets or Warriors subs, could replace most of the production from my starters (exception: Lenard, but Marion and Hinrich are hardly replaceable too). But all this is useless if THREE starters go down at once. Warriors, I feel for you ... Title: Sim 4 Post by: GoldenStateGM on October 31, 2005, 03:35:00 PM Quote from: CelticsGM [ So the main reason I proclaimed myself "deep" in that sense is that a) my starters are not these irreplaceable superstars b) my subs, who would likely lose any matchup with the Hornets or Warriors subs, could replace most of the production from my starters (exception: Lenard, but Marion and Hinrich are hardly replaceable too). The player that is definitely irreplaceable is Hinrich, as I learned last year...shudder... Luckily, only one more game without Kobe and Deng... :D Title: Sim 4 Post by: NetsGM on October 31, 2005, 03:42:07 PM Please. I've got y'all beat on bench depth.
C: Brad Miller PF 32 7'0'' 261 B- C C+ A- B C PF: Antawn Jamison SF 32 6'9'' 225 B C D+ B+ B- C SF: Antonio Turkoglu SF 22 6'9'' 223 C+ B C- B+ C A SG: John Salmons SG 28 6'7'' 210 C B+ C A- C B PG: Bailey Snow PG 23 6'0'' 208 C B B+ B D C I feel I've got 3 starters in that group (Miller, Jamison, Salmons) with a potential 4th (turkoglu, if he develops just a tad more) Title: Sim 4 Post by: HornetsGM on October 31, 2005, 03:42:53 PM Quote from: MavsGM I doubt you backup 5 can beat a team. What the hell, it's not like it's made much difference the past few years for me. :P Title: Sim 4 Post by: NetsGM on October 31, 2005, 03:43:57 PM actually, taking a look at it, I think I have the 2nd best bench.
Hornets are just sick. Title: Sim 4 Post by: HornetsGM on October 31, 2005, 03:49:50 PM Quote from: NetsGM actually, taking a look at it, I think I have the 2nd best bench. Hornets are just sick. Haha, was in the midst of a response; thanks for saving me the time :) Doesn't matter really. Starters are what really count, and you have the best starting 5. Title: Sim 4 Post by: GoldenStateGM on October 31, 2005, 03:58:27 PM Lol... The Hornets have A- defenders all along their bench.
The reason I like my bench so much... I have a player in development to take over for a starter at every position (except at PG, unless you double count Iggy at SF and PG) My bench is my future, so I have to show them the love :D Title: Sim 4 Post by: HornetsGM on October 31, 2005, 04:02:12 PM To be fair, if Skinner was moved to PF then he would probably be a B+
Title: Sim 4 Post by: BlazersGM on November 01, 2005, 08:57:02 AM damn, why in the hell was i changing the line-up 8)
