Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on February 10, 2005, 07:37:18 PM Alright, sim 2's up. Kinda.
I messed up. I accidentally forgot to output the game boxscores. And you can't do that without re-simming. So you have your team pages, which will tell you your ytd stats. you have the season schedule (under the season dropdown - schedule), which will give you the high scorers, rebounders and assists for the game. And you have your team schedule, which will tell you if you won or lost against that team. Everything else works, just not the game boxscores. I'm sorry, I truely am. I didn't even see my own. I made a mistake with a setting, and it won't happen again. I am still new to this commish thing and need to work a few kinks out. Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: SixersGM on February 10, 2005, 07:39:55 PM NP :D
T'was a nightmare for my team anyway.. :( Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on February 10, 2005, 07:44:25 PM I did surprisingly well, going 3-1.
Neither of the 3 teams I beat were anywhere near .500 though. Okafor, Boozer and Humphries all played dynamite though. I should have ROY and 2 first team all-rookie members. Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: SixersGM on February 10, 2005, 07:49:00 PM KG, Kobe, and Shaq are playing like man-possessed.
KG have been the player of the week for 4 straight weeks. He also is our player of the month. Shaq has been averaging, 34.1ppg and 14.1rpg. (.569%FG) Kobe has been averaging almost triple double stats.. 27.3ppg 9.5rpg 8.0apg (.507%fg) Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: Anonymous on February 10, 2005, 07:50:13 PM I played the Bucks 3 games in a row.
Game 1: Wiz 106 Bucks 97 Game 2: Bucks 90 Wiz 79 Game 3: Bucks 124 Wiz 79  Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on February 10, 2005, 07:57:14 PM wow, that's weird. I've never seen that before.
Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: CavsGM on February 10, 2005, 08:01:33 PM Wow. Well I sucked. Cavs went 2-6 in Sim 2, now 6-10 overall. Plain old ugly...Aside from the back to back big losses to Minnesota(looking for revenge for abandoning them. Ah, the good old days... ), my other four losses were all by four points or less. So I just as much could have gone the opposite, 6-2. The defense is alright, but the offense isn't performing as it should. Mostly because of LeBron. The turnovers are an absolute disgrace, as is the shooting %. Almost makes me want to trade him...Well not not really. I still have faith in the kid. :)
Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on February 10, 2005, 08:13:10 PM LeBron might be the most disappointing player in the league right now.
Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: CavsGM on February 10, 2005, 08:14:50 PM Quote from: NetsGM LeBron might be the most disappointing player in the league right now. He just might be, but I think he'll turn it around and show what he's really made of. Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: OldNuggetsGM on February 10, 2005, 08:19:41 PM Nuggets lead the league in allowing the highest opponents' FT%; assuming that's just a freak stat thus far, the defense should improve even more. Played seven games, going 4-3, and managed to knock over 3 points a game off OPPG, which is pretty good since Camby, my defensive anchor, has missed 6 games over the 2 sims. Too bad I'm in the Midwest, where the top teams are just smoking.
Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: RaptorsGM on February 10, 2005, 09:16:37 PM I went 4-3
Pretty damn happy with that. At least Hoffa's stats went down :) Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: SonicsGM on February 10, 2005, 09:22:34 PM Quote from: CavsGM Wow. Well I sucked. Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on February 10, 2005, 09:25:25 PM thing is, his point guards can't handle the ball either.
Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: RaptorsGM on February 10, 2005, 09:26:17 PM Wow. Phx Suns
Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: JazzGM-old on February 11, 2005, 12:57:35 AM Kirilenko was hurt for 2 games but I'm 7-3 in my last 10, 6-2 in the last sim after putting josh howard in the lineup. My defense got better with Howard in (A defense) but my ppg did go down. It's still very early to tell how good some of the teams really are... I mean the rockets are ridiculous right now but I feel my standing in the west will improve through a few more sims, my bench is contributing well with pj brown scoring 10 and giving me 8 boards off of the bench. Every game there's a new high scorer, in one case Arroyo had 23 pts and 6 assists, probably because Kidd was in foul trouble, but it's nice that when players go down I have people to step up.
Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: MagicGM on February 11, 2005, 04:01:25 AM went 4-2 pretty bad IMO
Title: sim2 Post by: HeatGM on February 11, 2005, 05:42:30 AM i went 3-1
did anyone see this? HEAT 122, Magic 63....thats 59 points lead.... :D and magic is a very tough team :D i lost my first game to the cavs but defeated tough teams with a large lead.... Heat 103, PISTONS 86 HEAT 98, Pistons 92 HEAT 122, Magic 63 lolz.... i like my team...next sim is my biggest test for the team  Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: SixersGM on February 11, 2005, 05:44:20 AM Your biggest test would be my team, with TD..
Title: sim Post by: HeatGM on February 11, 2005, 05:56:47 AM is it possible to post the box score in the forum when requested? only text or sumthin :D
Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: SixersGM on February 11, 2005, 06:05:40 AM LOLS
Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: Str8westcoasta on February 11, 2005, 06:17:21 AM DAMN, suffered my first loss!
Went down by 4 to the magic. Some very nice wins over the Mavericks, Kings :D and Toronto. Season record now stands at 11-1. I'm pretty happy with how my team is performing right now, looking to maybe add a lil more depth though. Also, tinkering with the idea of starting Juwan Howard instead of Mount Mutombo at the 4. Howard is getting 10ppg in only 18 minutes, but I'm not sure it's worth sacraficing defense for a lil more offense, especially since we're putting up 102.4ppg already... decisions, decisions Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on February 11, 2005, 08:05:07 AM Quote is it possible to post the box score in the forum when requested? only text or sumthin Boxscores for the first 20 games are gone. vanished. buh bye. they don't exist. The remaining 10 sims will be on the website. Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: GoldenStateGM on February 11, 2005, 08:49:17 AM How come? I did not even have a chance to look at the boxscores for the 2nd sim yet...
Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on February 11, 2005, 09:01:35 AM You didn't have a chance, nor did anyone else. they never existed. I had a setting wrong when I ran the simulation. Read my first post in this thread.
Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: GoldenStateGM on February 11, 2005, 09:11:54 AM Sorry... I the first page
2-4 records will make you do crazy things like that.. sigh... Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: GoldenStateGM on February 11, 2005, 09:49:39 AM Warriors PPG differential went from less then -1 to -5... Yuck...
Defense got slightly worse, but my Offense went straight down the tubes. Although, Warriors now 5-1 at home :D and 0-6 on the road :? These young teams are always terrible road teams.. lol Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: HawksGM on February 11, 2005, 10:10:01 AM switched up the lineup a little for sim 3, we'll see how Al Harrington does starting at the SF and the 100 million dollar man (Allan Houston) does in the starting lineup, I'm gonna see how they play, if I don't win over half my games in the sim I'm going to re-insert JR and Josh Smith...and Stromile is still playing awesome, he's top 10 in scoring, rebounding and blocks, but why aren't any Heat players on the League Leaders????
Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on February 11, 2005, 10:12:00 AM Quote why aren't any Heat players on the League Leaders???? the program has a minimum # of games played to be on the league leaders. Most teams have played between 11 and 16 games so far, the heat have only played 8. Last week the Wizards weren't on the league leaders when they only played 4. Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on February 11, 2005, 10:15:21 AM On a value level, stro might have the best contract in the league.
Stro = 23.6 ppg, 12.1 rpg, 2.4 bpg. $5,500,000 Okafor = 21.7 ppg, 10.5 rpg, 2.0 bpg. $10,950,000 Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: SpursGM-old on February 11, 2005, 10:24:21 AM Went 4-4....closer to what I expected than after the first sim (6-1). I changed up my DC to experiment a little and it backfired big time. Scoring went down over 6 points and defense gave up almost 6 additional points.
Still after trading Duncan I never expected to be the 4th seed in the west. And although I would never wish bad luck on anyone....my Sixer's draft picks are looking nice as they sit in the lottery. Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: HawksGM on February 11, 2005, 10:25:00 AM Quote from: NetsGM On a value level, stro might have the best contract in the league. where to start. 2 and 10 after 20 days? well looks like there are some changes to be made. marion, amare and nash are playing well individually for me, but i have no defense, i changed my line up for the first 2 sims, and still have yet to settle on 1 rotation. i had hoped to contend this year, but maybe i'll have to sit back and work to build up to make a late run this year, and a sustained run into next yr. Still needing a big man batter than hunter, i have amare there right now i really beleieve thats my big problem i need a defensive bigto team with amare. Hopefully my team picks it up this next sim and we right the ship, before i get fusterated and dealing everyone away. Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: MavsGM on February 11, 2005, 03:31:53 PM Lost to both the Griz and Rockets by one. :x
Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: GoldenStateGM on February 11, 2005, 03:45:53 PM I just realized... In my 7 losses, we have averaged 79 points per game.
In my 5 wins, we have averaged 104 points per game. I think the Warriors have a slight inconsistency issue.. lol Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: BucksGM on February 11, 2005, 04:44:36 PM Well the Bucks are first place in the Central Division after 2 sims with a 10-7 record.
I'm not really sure how much I can discuss what I don't understand. I guess the starters have been better than I expected, and Kenny Thomas off the bench has worked. Next sim includes 2 against Philly and also the Wolves and Pacers. so we'll see how that goes. A lot of people don't pay attention to the chemistry in their teams, if you look at the teams that win it, unless absolutley saturated with talent, most of the time they just have key role players who do their thing not only well, but consistently. Look at the last sim we had going, the Mavericks record wise were no match for anyone, but they never got out of the 2nd round. You need a good balance of every skill at your positions and if not, make it up with the talents of those on your bench |
