Title: Sixers-Hornets Post by: SixersGM on September 18, 2005, 11:02:54 AM Sixers Trades:
Brian Skinner Hornets Trades: Bradley Bee Basically i did it for the contract. Title: Sixers-Hornets Post by: HornetsGM on September 18, 2005, 11:04:12 AM I agree
Title: Sixers-Hornets Post by: HornetsGM on September 18, 2005, 11:05:16 AM Skinner is a band-aid until I get Pavel back. He has good production in the time he plays and he will be an adequate 3rd big off the bench.
Title: Sixers-Hornets Post by: RaptorsGM on September 18, 2005, 11:07:07 AM Damn, Skinner's really dropped ratings-wise.
I remember when I used to take the odd run at him. Title: Sixers-Hornets Post by: KingsGM-old on September 18, 2005, 11:18:01 AM Hell, i wanted to give a pick for him last year. I didn't find filler though.
Hornets are sick. Title: Sixers-Hornets Post by: SixersGM on September 18, 2005, 11:19:04 AM Quote from: KingsGM Hornets are sick. I agree :D Title: Sixers-Hornets Post by: KingsGM-old on September 18, 2005, 11:21:14 AM And you just pushed that even more :)
Title: Sixers-Hornets Post by: RaptorsGM on September 18, 2005, 11:23:13 AM The Hornets should be alot better record-wise than they are. Which is saying something, given they are 10 games over .500.
Title: Sixers-Hornets Post by: KingsGM-old on September 18, 2005, 11:28:16 AM I think Livingston is somehow overated. With that ratings he should be having better numbers. More expirienced PG would certanly help more. Absurd as it sounds, i think he's the only weak spot on that team.

And I agree that C+ B+ should garner alot more than 8ppg on bad percentages. Title: Sixers-Hornets Post by: HornetsGM on September 18, 2005, 11:36:13 AM Yeah, he has struggled quite a bit scoring-wise. I'm not sure what the problem is. Maybe he is relaxing after that big contract I gave him. :?
Still, he's leading the league in apg... Title: Sixers-Hornets Post by: NetsGM on September 18, 2005, 02:05:44 PM C+ B+ is rather mediocre offensively, nothing special. He should be able to be efficient as a non-option, but without being good at any one skill, he really shouldn't be an option.
But he's there for his defense and assists. Title: Sixers-Hornets Post by: HornetsGM on September 18, 2005, 02:09:56 PM Quote from: NetsGM C+ B+ is rather mediocre offensively, nothing special. says the guy who is getting 21ppg out of a C A- offensive player. Title: Sixers-Hornets Post by: NetsGM on September 18, 2005, 02:21:18 PM That's the thing, he excels at one thing, he's a career 44% 3 pt shooter. There aren't many top scorers in this league who are decent at both but excel at neither. Generally, people who are great at both inside and outside are #1 options, people who are good at one of the 2 #2 options, and people who are decent at both are either 3rd options are non-options.
Battier's a C+ B+ offensively and has never averaged more than 8 ppg. Title: Sixers-Hornets Post by: HornetsGM on September 18, 2005, 03:13:09 PM I don't know. I think it's more based on the ratings we can't see, like strength, quickness, etc. Those ratings manifest themselves through the actual numbers.
Guys like Telfair, Boykins, etc. probably have great quickness. I really don't think that it depends on whether someone specializes in one thing or another. I could name 20 guys who have ratings that are as good as, or better than, Earl's, but will never put up 20 ppg. That's just how it goes. |
