Title: Scoring Options
Post by: MagicGM on September 17, 2005, 09:05:10 AM
For example my starting lineup is

Woods
Roseau
Dwight
Mobley
Kidd

if Dwight is my 1st option, and my sencond line-up is...

Ostertag
West
Josh
Mobley
Arenas

will Josh be the 1st option in this lineup?

He won't be if you didn't make him an option on DC

Position doesn't matter.

we're talking of 2 howards, you know.. :D

yeah, if Dwight is on the bench.. I mean when my whole 1st line-up in on the bench... and my 2nd lineup is playing...

I guess the question is: If my #1 scoring option is a great offensive player and his backup is a primarily defensive guy, will the offense run through this guy if the 2nd unit is on the floor?

My take is it don't think so. Guess the 2nd unit runs on recommended ...

But on the other hand, last sim my 2nd leading scorer was Jefferson, who backed up my #1 and #2 scoring options on SF and PF, so that means he got a lot of touches in the 2nd unit.

I mean in general... not in specific situations.

CPU follows your options on DC. After that, and if all of them are on the bench, it decides who'll be the main option. I guess it's based on ratings maybe.

No, position is irrelevant.

If non of your options are on the floor, it will pick the best offensive player.

and your 2nd unit is never all on the floor at once

oh.. so lets say my 3rd option is kidd... and he is playing with my 2nd unit, he'll automatically be the 1st option of my 2nd unit?

disregard 2nd unit.  there is no 2nd unit.  your second string pf is the one who comes in when your first string pf goes down.  the 2nd and 3rd string's do  not play together.

If Kidd is your highest option available, he'll be the #1 on the court.
