Title: No more Moderators Post by: NetsGM on September 12, 2005, 03:56:32 PM I have removed the moderators from the boards. I have also promoted HornetsGM to administrator since he is the co-commish.
Why? Moderators never really served a purpose here anyway. They were created by twan, for what reason I don't know, probably as a way of thanking friends. But I have never needed moderators, this is not a moderated forum (for the most part), and they served no real purpose and had no real privileges. the best reason I can think to keep them was as evidence of who to ask with questions, but we now have a questions forum. So why remove them as mods? I just wanted everyone to know that they're on the same playing field. There's the commish, the co-commish, and everyone else. I didn't want anyone thinking there was preferential treatment, either on these boards or in the game. It just didn't make sense. And no, this has nothing to do with anything any of the moderators have done. It's something that I wanted to do right when we started, but didn't want to upset anyone.
