Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on September 08, 2005, 05:44:41 PM It's up.
Went 7-0. But damn, look at the rest of the east  And Emeka's down for another 3 games. Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: RaptorsGM on September 08, 2005, 05:54:23 PM Well Yao certainly loced the fast pace.
41 pts, 11 rebs, 7 asts, 5 blks vs he C's. That's a hell of a game. 50/16/5 vs the Bucks. Amazng Lost 2 very, very close games, thinking about leaving the pace at fast for a few more sims. Too bad that the Spurs go 4-4 ;) Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: BullsGM-old on September 08, 2005, 06:20:06 PM Considering my schedule, not a bas sim AT ALL, even though I went 3-6. I'm still only 0.5 games out of a playoff spot
I lost to the Pacers (3 times), the Nets (by 2), the Clippers and the Wiz. I beat the Wizards, Magic and Spurs. Mercer exploded, hes now averaging 25/4/8 with 2 spg for the season. Griffin played great as a 3rd option, 16/11/3 with 1.3 bpg Dean Drew calmed down with the defense but is still averaging 15/4/3 with 1.8 spg. I'm going to have to look at the Opp FG% to see if he's still holding his own with the C defense Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: SpursGM-old on September 08, 2005, 06:27:46 PM Yeah, I agree. I was hoping for 8-0.
Actually I tried some changes in the first sim (reducing press & trap to sometimes) and it backfired big time. I averaged almost 4 more turnovers per game than my opponents. Restored those this time as well as switching my focus to outside. Lost to the Clippers & Bulls on the road and to Jazz & Grizzlies at home. Brought my t/o differential down to under 2 a game. 1 big downer....Hobson broke his skull in the final game and is out 55 games. Need to analyze further...... Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: SunsGM on September 08, 2005, 07:01:43 PM Went 4-4 Pretty happy with the sim wasent great but it kept me right around the middle of the Conf.
I usually dont post in these discussion threads, but I actually have something to say this time around.... Garret Petit is a Bastard! I've never beaten the Nets and I'm actually used to loosing to them, i'm not happy about it. though, and I look at the Box score and held the Nets to 88 pts (a combo of slow pace and Good def),force Boykins into 7-27 shooting, and pretty much hold Okafor in check, but Petit once bales the Nets out. Thats probally why he's the best player to ever come out of any of out drafts(even going back to the old league) and may be one of the first to go into our hall of fame. Thats all Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: HawksGM on September 08, 2005, 07:05:49 PM I knew my 4-4 start was too good to be true. I go 1-7 and now I must play with my lineup. Jameer Nelson needs to stop his horrible shooting (props to the CelticsGM for calling that). The thing I'm most impressed by is Matthew Marion. He's appearing to be a good all-around player for me and I'm liking what I'm seeing from him.
Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: CelticsGM on September 08, 2005, 07:25:42 PM went 1-6 with my new lineup which is hardly a surprise (I always lost big time when changing more than two positions simultaneously - FBB is very strict here - thats why I'll wait another sim before panicking)
Ginobili went down for 3 games (including my win) but I hardly lost a beat then. Van Exel filled in nicely and the losses both were by 1 pt (@ Knicks and @ Nets in OT with Emeka). What's more puzzeling is that I got blown out 3 times WITH Gino - despit him doing all I wanted: Holding down opposing SGs (Keogan 10pts below his average), scoring, rebounding. The good: - Rookie PG Elliott with a 6/11/10 game in 30 minutes (+ 3stl, 5 TO) - Lenard knocking on the door - holding opponents to 42% shooting (three under 38%) The bad - My team completely forgot how to shoot. Everyone but Lenard. 39% on the year. - Leader Radmanovic unable to shoot and worse on defense, his speciality last season. Take a seat, man - I'm getting outrebounded big time most of the time. Hardly a surprise considering my ratings (but that also was different last year with the same people) Less changes are to follow. Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: SixersGM on September 08, 2005, 07:53:08 PM My frontcourt is scoring half my team's total points TD (37.5ppg and Tanner 19ppg).
With the absence of ginobili, my young guys are stepping up like what i expected. Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on September 08, 2005, 07:58:56 PM HawksGM has gotta be near suicidal.
Tanner scoring 20 ppg on 53% shooting with 3 blocks. Schenk scoring 17 ppg with 8 apg on 52.8% shooting, 51.5% from 3 pt. And, of course, Carmelo scoring 22.7 ppg with 7 boards, 4 assists, 1.6 steals on 49% shooting, 42% from 3 pt. Because it was the 2nd post you've made in the thread that literally said nothing. If you're going to post, say something in your post. But Melo I knew would eventually come around, I just thought he might not re-sign with me. But yea I'm now trying to keep my young guys but isn't gonna be easy if I keep losing. Jameer is a headache percentage wise. Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: BlazersGM on September 08, 2005, 08:38:26 PM Not a great sim,won 2 and lost 3 at home, lost and won one away, for 3-4,first trashed nuggets by 35 points, then lost by Sonics at home by 23(they made 17 points advantage in last quarter) then beat Hawks by five away, lost to Nuggets 144-139 in OT !!!,lost to Suns by 3 at home, got trashed by Knicks 20 points at home and beat Wizards. Its a young team still so better things are yet to come.....altough was hoping much more after team went 5-1 first sim with losing only to Detroit in OT and playing more away, this time they performed bad at home.
Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on September 08, 2005, 08:41:04 PM I'm just dumbfounded.
Right now the 4th seed in the east has a .889 winning percentage. :?: Nets: 13-2 Pistons: 12-3 Pacers: 11-3 Hornets: 8-1 Combined: 44-9 Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on September 08, 2005, 08:45:03 PM Clippers looking like the 2nd best team in the league, without a doubt. +11 ppg. And that's with Ben Gordon being underwhelming so far, and a change in their starting lineup.
I just realized I'm 13-2 but played more games on the road (9) than at home (6). You know your PF can't play defense when Malik Allen drops 23/17 (http://ssba.phillyarena.net/boxes/13-7.html) on you. Both career hgihs. Dalembert must be jealous of his teammate's DPOY award... So far on the season he's averaging 4.1 bpg and holding starting pf's to 34% shooting. Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: GoldenStateGM on September 08, 2005, 10:15:23 PM Well, it looks like I am going to have to go back to a slow pace. Araujo just cannot handle the picked up pace.
Pierce has been excellent, and having him as a 3rd option has reall brought down his turnovers Hinrich has been excellent so far. Almost considering making him my primary option. Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: RaptorsGM on September 09, 2005, 01:58:39 AM I'm really surprised that Yao liked the fast pace as much as he did.
Look for a big trade to go down in RaptorLand that sees B-Diddy dealt for a better ball handling PG (albeit one with pretty awful defense) Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: Iverson2Korver43 on September 09, 2005, 03:04:58 AM Wow... 5-2 sim and the Pistons still have a winning record... I am honestly still shocked... I thought for sure this would be a horrible season for me... It is pretty sad though when your high scorer is only averaging 16ppg as a non-option and a PG... I sill have no Idea how this team is winning games, but I'm not gonna complain...
Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: PacersGM on September 09, 2005, 03:47:42 AM yea the pistons amaze me...
i really liked my last sim and the matchups against the bulls fisher a pg with C handle (by the way i think this means he can´t penetrate but his A/TO ratio is fine) had a game of 12pts,12ass,4stls and 0 TOs against Mercer... I had a 7-0 run before loosing against the Wolves ... couldn´t keep Cato or JO on the floor and lost fisher to the IL for 8 more games. Next sim i will see what this parker kidd is all about. Jamison is proving what a great scoring option he would be.. With JO having troubles to stay on the floor Jamison stepped again and again and scored ... Against KG 21 in 21 mins Against TD 15, against the bulls one time 14 in 12 mins..... amazing. I told Artest that the sixers think he is on the way down... nice answer Ron :D With my new def minded strategy i could manage that more of my depth had been used. Lucas showed a very promising first game at PF in 11mins 6pts,3rb,1ass,1sl,1blk,0TO and shooting 75% he will have to earn his playing time but if his pot is for real i could see him start next year next to JO. Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: PacersGM on September 09, 2005, 03:55:10 AM next sim will be very tough.
the last 3 games Carmelo will have to show if he is for real. marion, vince and petit .... Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: HornetsGM on September 09, 2005, 01:13:24 PM my team is looking pretty sick, but not as sick as the Nets of course
Odom is averaging 23 / 9 / 6 .... He has been close to a couple triple doubles this year. Very happy with Pavel. 3.9 bpg and 10 rpg is pretty good for a 22 year old with potential still left. Marion held Larry Hughes to 12 points on 5-27 shooting. Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: JazzGM-old on September 09, 2005, 01:35:20 PM poor sim for me, Curran was hurt for a game extending from last sim's injury, Joe Smith likes to foul out, and to add insult to injury Booth was hurt for most of the sim and will be out another 4 days next sim. I did have a nice win over the Mavs which was good to see despite circumstances. Shabinger's shooting real well, but needs to come to play every night and contribute and not every other game. Lastly Meyers has yet to find his game despite a small improvement in ratings, but i'm sure he'll find it. Kirilenko is avg 2.4 spg, Shabinger 2.1 spg, and Hughes, 1.9spg, I'm 2nd in blocks by a significant amount above the team in 3rd and well the Nets aren't going to be touchable in that area for a little while. Still a strong start despite injuries, I like that they're coming early and hopefully won't haunt me when it counts.
Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: MavsGM on September 09, 2005, 03:31:42 PM Start off the sim good but it ended bad. TOs still hurting this team. Hope to get over .500 next sim.
Title: Sim 2 Discussion Post by: HornetsGM on September 09, 2005, 04:30:42 PM Central division is now the best division after the Midwest collapsed this offseason.
