Now that the deal's done and Manning was the 2nd pick, I'll give my reasoning.

With the assumption that Manning would go #2 (Pistons and I both had him rated there), I traded Manning and Tinsley to the Pistons for Nash and Ferry.  Ferry is what I would have hoped for Manning to become, given the B+ defense and average of 8-9 rpg with a C+ there.

Tinsley and Nash are similar, depending on what you're looking for.  Both have expiring contracts.  Nash is 4 years older at 33, but I believe that point guard is the most replaceable position given all the good ones out there if Nash retires/leaves via free agency.

So I think this immediately makes my team better.  The Pistons also took on Billy Joe Kim to give me an additional 3 million in cap room to help me resign my own free agents as well.

This is really quite surprising that no one has commented on this trade...  Either it was really even or no one cares :| ...  oh well...

There's TOO much activity.

Giving my opinion on every trade posted nowadays would be a fulltime job.  The # of trades is staggering.
