Title: Draft Order Set Post by: NetsGM on August 23, 2005, 10:28:15 PM Oh my god. I almost feel bad for the Hawks.
Title: Draft Order Set Post by: CavsGM on August 23, 2005, 10:30:09 PM Please don't do this to me when the page isn't uploaded yet... :P
Title: Draft Order Set Post by: NetsGM on August 23, 2005, 10:40:03 PM Also, everyone look over their rosters, make sure I didn't miss one of your free agents you wanted to re-sign.
Otherwise, available free agents are now listed under "Resources > Free Agents". Next years free agents are listed under "Offseason > Potential Free Agents" Title: Draft Order Set Post by: CavsGM on August 23, 2005, 10:42:38 PM Keogan and Manning. That could be a reality, had I not made that idiotic trade with Milwaukee...
Title: Draft Order Set Post by: NetsGM on August 23, 2005, 10:54:23 PM Also, remember about this provision to the rules:
*NOTE* As of the 2009 SSBA Draft, you will have the choice of changing the 2nd year salary from $465,850 to $3,750,000 for 2nd round picks. You must make this decision at the time you draft the player by specifying it in the PM you give me when making your selection. The reasoning for this is to give you a better chance of re-signing them once their contracts are up. Bad freakin luck.
Title: Draft Order Set Post by: BucksGM on August 23, 2005, 11:52:42 PM look on the bright side Cavs, you could have traded the #2 pick and not have gotten the #1 :)
i actually spent time mulling over whether i was 6th or 7th. glad i don't face that conundrum. Title: Draft Order Set Post by: HawksGM on August 24, 2005, 07:41:35 AM damn, this really hurts the re-building stage. I lose out on Keogan and probably Wells. Gotta revise the strategy now
Title: Draft Order Set Post by: NetsGM on August 24, 2005, 08:14:09 AM Yeah, you NEEDED Keogan. Although the Cavs might be in worse shape than you.
Title: Draft Order Set Post by: GoldenStateGM on August 24, 2005, 08:34:22 AM Maybe they can make it up for it by getting Gordon :)
Title: Draft Order Set Post by: NetsGM on August 24, 2005, 08:37:54 AM My win rating = 68
Hawks = 25 If Gordon picks the Hawks max offer over mine, I'll be furious, lol. Title: Draft Order Set Post by: GoldenStateGM on August 24, 2005, 08:40:26 AM In the real NBA, he would probably pick the Hawks over you...
Pettit is a SG, and Gordon is a natural SG... Plus, Gordon is a guaranteed #1 option on the Hawks, and a 2 or 3 for you... But, luckily, it is not the real NBA :D ... But there are alot of other very good players on the market as well, mostly at PG... Title: Draft Order Set Post by: KingsGM-old on August 24, 2005, 09:17:52 AM #23? That's great considering my record. I might even pick some quality player.
Title: Draft Order Set Post by: Anonymous on August 24, 2005, 09:38:57 AM I got the 3rd pick. I was obviously hoping for the 1st but I can't complain.
This does mean that I have some tough decisions to make regarding whether or not I want to go big in the draft and perhaps not take the BPA or draft the BPA regardless of position and then deal away some of my other good talent. We'll see.... Title: Draft Order Set Post by: ClippersGM-old on August 24, 2005, 09:53:32 AM If Gordon does not re-sign with my Clippers... I will be very very ******!!!
He has 91 loyalty (that is the Clippers)... 99 play for winner (Clippers again)... and 48 greed (I can offer him more than any other team). I see no reason why he would not re-sign for my max offer. He is also good friends with Josh, Tyson and Corey. His wife loves the LA area and one of his best friends Dwyane Wade plays for the Lakers. He will get the most money here and the future for the team looks bright. Title: Draft Order Set Post by: BlazersGM on August 24, 2005, 10:02:56 AM 5th pick, not bad. I was hoping for TOP 3 tough.

Title: Draft Order Set Post by: NetsGM on August 24, 2005, 10:41:57 AM Only thing to keep in mind with Gordon is that his play for winner is higher than his loyalty.
I'm hoping he likes my finals appearance, 15 playoff victories this year alone, and max contract  Title: Draft Order Set Post by: KingsGM-old on August 24, 2005, 10:44:51 AM I think people will once again see that this play for winner ration (and just about everything else) doesn't mean a thing.
It's happening every year. Title: Draft Order Set Post by: HawksGM on August 24, 2005, 12:15:58 PM I definitely needed Keogan, but there are other players in this draft who are good, just none that will fall to me at the SG that I really really like. Keogan would have been a great fit.
Title: Draft Order Set Post by: HawksGM on August 25, 2005, 01:21:58 PM I still can't believe dabods couldn't pick one of my lottery balls first
Title: Draft Order Set Post by: NetsGM on August 25, 2005, 02:14:02 PM Lol.
I don't actually do anything. I hit a button that says "determine draft order", and it's all done at once. Title: Draft Order Set Post by: Str8westcoasta on August 25, 2005, 05:44:32 PM I got jipped!
Should get someone useful at 6 but I would have like top 3 and happily taken 4 |
