Title: Injured Scoring Option
Post by: KingsGM-old on August 16, 2005, 10:03:01 AM
What happen when you have injured player as your scoring option? Do you have one less or the CPU decides who'll that be?

But the player he is concerned about (McGrady) will only miss the first two playoff games.  If he changes his offensive options then he will not have McGrady in there for the rest of the series.

It's Marbury he's talking about. And that's the case for any sim, it's no different in the playoffs. It's the Kings decision on what he should do.

It's not Tmac it's Marbury but Spurs point is right on the mark. Thanks.

That really didn't answer his question at all.

Marbury is only out for 2 games, so why would he make someone else a scoring option when a playoff series can last 7 games?

Kings, your team will still get a whole bunch of shots, and other players will fill in for Marbury and take those shots. With Marbury out, look for everyone else on your team to pick up the slack a little bit.

Facing the scrappy Warriors must have the Kings quite nervous...    :o
Have no idea if the computer "chooses" a new option for you, but it does not reduce your number of shots...  An option player just has the ball in his hands more often...
It really should not be any different then during the a sim, when an option players is sent to the bench or fouls out.

Yeah, i know that. But i wonder what will the CPU do if i go with him anyway? As of right now, Marbury is my 3rd option. Who'll take his place? Or is it possible to have only 2 options?

Well he didn't talk about that in his question, and I didn't look at his roster. And like I just mentioned, it's the same thing during the season. The playoffs are no different whatsoever.

I'm guessing the cpu will simply pick a new third option.  there's no way of knowing for sure, though.

Have not decided whether it will be Iggy, Hinkle, or even Turkoglu (who would be an interesting defensive matchup, considering his size)

Plus, I hired Emeka (punk who injured Araujo, mostly for that 2nd all-league team spot, imo) to have a "Chat"  with Tracy in his Orlando home...

Hinkle and Hedo sounds even better :) .

And Tracy is not going to Orlando this summer, he's busy in California. He has to pass that first round

Haha.

Emeka is a dirty player.  Very dirty.  With the focus to outside, he's become more of an enforcer this year ;)

The B+ and the A- defender sound better then the C+ defender...  Interesting thoughts...

Actually, Tracy agent mentioned that he was in Orlando...  Something about wanting to move back to the East coast.   :P

Plus, I think he is going to be late for a game or two...  His GED Graduation is during the playoffs    :P
