Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: KingsGM-old on August 07, 2005, 06:05:22 AM Can the red hot Kings continue with their crazy ride? I hope so. Jerome James and Steph Marbury are back and Drew Gooden is playing his best ball as a King. The playoffs are aproaching fast and this team is looking for a 1st seed in the West.
Kings @ Suns Warriors @ Kings Timberwolves @ Kings Kings @ Nuggets Kings @ Trailblazers Mavericks @ Kings Knicks @ Kings The Mavs are coming to Arco Arena and i really expect a showdown. Dampier vs Jerome James, Brad Miller vs Dirk, Lebron vs Gooden and Snyder vs Tmac. Major battle at the PG spot, Jason Terry against Steph. Interesting matchup. Just NO More Injuries Please! Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: RaptorsGM on August 07, 2005, 09:49:08 AM The Raptors have a fairly light schedule, only playing 5 games.
Look for a 4-1. THe Wizards should be a win. THe Hawks should be a win. THe Mavs could be my loss. THe Pacers could be my loss. The Heat should be a win. Title: dsadasdasd Post by: HeatGM on August 07, 2005, 09:56:57 AM im going against tough team this sim... i expect a 3-3 sim but i want a 4-2 sim...

Trailblazers@Jazz Bucks@Jazz Spurs@Jazz Grizzlies@Jazz Jazz@Trailblazers Nuggets@Jazz 6 outta 7 at home, I could very well go 6-1, but I'm going to go a little more conservative and say I'll go 5-2 this sim Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on August 07, 2005, 08:42:07 PM Uh-oh. Warriors ain't gonna be happy.
Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: CavsGM on August 07, 2005, 08:54:31 PM Booyakasha respect. The Cavs go 5-4 with a bad team. That's what I like to see... :)
Gotta look into things, but it doesn't really matter too much, anyway. Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: HawksGM on August 07, 2005, 08:59:36 PM Hoff tears his ACL (105 days) . Ivan is a turnover machine, not sure how to bring that down. C handles at for a PF is pretty good. He did have a 26 pts 22 rebs game. Iggy didn't quite workout at pg so I'll have to move him. I think Iggy will be dealt soon.
Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: BullsGM-old on August 07, 2005, 09:17:12 PM I just want this season to end...
My team sucks Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: CavsGM on August 07, 2005, 09:17:20 PM The decent group of veterans seem to be holding things together. Miller is the leader, playing rather well. Ostertag and Joe Smith played very nicely, rebounding and defending the ball. And Fletcher is a just an tremendous offensive force. If he can improve defense/rebounds in the next couple of training camps, watch out.
Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: RaptorsGM on August 07, 2005, 09:17:42 PM 4-1, just like I said, as Yao continues his descent back down to earth. Don't understand why he is playing so little minutes and getting so little shots, but as long as I keep winning I won't be changing anything.

anyway, I went 5-3. Dwight has a 22, 14 and 4 blocks performance against the hornets. A 20, 10 and 4blocks performance against the Wiz. Has a 26, 11 and 2 against the Cavs while Allen scored 41pts. Roseau has his 1st double double with the Magic with 11, 14 and 2 blocks. Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: CelticsGM on August 08, 2005, 03:54:15 AM Well, quite a fascinating sim.
only 4 games, 4 road games. A double overtime loss to the Hornets, two wins over Knicks and (in a very important battle for the final playoff spot) the Wiz. And than a game I'm not willing to discuss at all. so another "non-losing" sim at 2-2 is decent (I really have to get that losing mentality out of my mind soon - like being proud of every winning sim. These have to get standard ...) Big surprise: Lenard getting the starting assignment over Radman and immediately leading all scorers at 19ppg (as 3rd option !). He didn't quite stop anybody but held his own against KMart, Prince, Walker and Battier. Curry was his usual self (18/10) while my PF tandem of AJ and Darko (10 caroms per as backup) stopped anybody but Amare. The road ahead doesn't get easier, lots of road games remaining but with my depth I feel i can beat any team now (as I said I'm not willing to discuss THAT game any more) 8) Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: JazzGM-old on August 08, 2005, 05:07:57 AM Went 5-2 as predicted, don't quite have an answer for Telfair even when I beat the Blazers. I had an overall good team effort, found out Declerq is a B+/B- def/reb ratings at Center so his trading value might improve for some teams looking to finalize their DC's, but for now he's moved into my 3rd center spot over Murray. Other than Eschmeyer's 13 pt. 19 rebound game, there wasn't many surprises. I am scoring more now that I put Meyers as my backup for SF and SG and Kirilenko's numbers keep gradually improving as the season goes on.
Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: KingsGM-old on August 08, 2005, 05:24:26 AM Another stellar sim. Went 5 - 2 but still not satisfied. Beat all the teams i'm supposed to beat and lost to 2 great ones, Dallas and Denver.
Jerome Moiso really amazes me; 17pts, 13reb and 4 blocks against the Suns 17pts, 12reb, 6asists, 2 blocks vs Araujo 12pts, 9rebs vs Wolves 16pts, 8rebs vs Knicks Tmac droped 46 on Blazers. Steph had a couple of nice games too; 23pts and 11asists vs Knicks 19pts, 8asists vs Blazers 10pts, 10asists vs Wolves and Brad Miller almost had a triple double vs the Knicks. 19pts, 9asists, 9 rebs and 5 blocks. Solid. Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: KingsGM-old on August 08, 2005, 05:40:57 AM And although i have 4th best record in the league and 3rd in the West I DO NOT LIKE this current playoff standings. I don't want to play vs Nuggets in the first round. Period.
P.S. Golden State: Man, i feel sorry for you. That really sucks. Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on August 08, 2005, 07:22:37 AM Quote And than a game I'm not willing to discuss at all. ANd the Celts were only down 1 after the 1st Q. Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: CelticsGM on August 08, 2005, 09:05:22 AM Quote from: NetsGM Quote And than a game I'm not willing to discuss at all. Oh, come on, let's discuss that one! You wanted it, so I'll jump over my shadow here... First of all, this is the 2nd road games at the Meadowlands in consecutive sims. Lost the first one by 15 but even held a slim (1pt) fourth quarter lead there. Unfortunately Radman picked up his 5th personal late in the 3rd and my offense just stalled therafter. Curry OWNED Meka that game, going 13-22 for 30, holding Okafor to a moderate 13. But in a sign of things to come, their reserves gave me fits ... Now to the rematch I entered with great expectations only to - shoot 29% (including 23% after the 1st quarter) - gave the ball away on 7 (seven!) consecutive possessions in the 2nd - have Meka show Eddy who's the boss - and allowed the Nets to go to the line 39 times (on my 23 fouls - calculate that ratio yourself) - no one, and I mean not even the bus driver - had something going that night (he missed a right turn and the team bus ended up taking 2 hours for a 3 mile drive to the hotel later that night because of an accident-closed highway) You can imagine what happened in the locker after that debacle - and my squad responded the right way. So with a 2 game winning streak running, let's get this to four ... Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: CelticsGM on August 08, 2005, 09:14:01 AM of course I fired the bus driver ...
... and we're winning now ! Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: KingsGM-old on August 08, 2005, 09:19:03 AM Well obiviously it was a defensive slaughter.
19 Celtics TO's and 11 blocks by the Nets. Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: CelticsGM on August 08, 2005, 09:29:07 AM But the Celtics team get's no love from the media anyways. Need prove ? How 'bout this:
18-9-4  WAT'S THAT ? We won 27 games ... and 18 times an opponent player was named "Player of the game" (9 times one of my guys won that award). And this happened just 4 times for US during the 30 losses. On the other side, it proves that this Celtics win through a true TEAM effort (like the current Baby Bulls) ! And I value team chemistry as much as a good defensive effort ... :P Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: NetsGM on August 08, 2005, 10:08:48 AM That might have been one of emeka's better games of the year.
37 pts (11-15, 15-22 ft), 18 rebounds, 4 steals, 5 blocks, held Curry to 38% shooting. Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: KingsGM-old on August 08, 2005, 10:22:46 AM That's really a lousy effort by Emeka. I wonder does this kid has a heart and love for the game. :)

Well, Emeka should be under investigation right now... Many people heard him say to Araujo, after he took him out in the game "You will never take my title as 2nd best center in the league, fat boy... And this will teach you to use those Brazilian sex tricks with my woman" I will be requesting a further investigation later... :D Well, my championship dreams are shot... Big Jake has played well in Araujo's absence, but no one can replace Big Basketball Papi... BTW, next time someone complains about an injury (except for the Bulls, who just has bad, bad luck), I am now reserving permision to say shove it up the orifice of my choice.... Title: Sim 9 Discussion Post by: BucksGM on August 08, 2005, 06:47:03 PM Bucks went 4-3 as expected. Cleveland's sim put the pick at 8th. And I can't believe the Hawks have lost 26 of their last 27. That's staggering, no matter how bad your team is gutted. One is maybe Deng on your team but nick and Z will have their problems. Chemistry and team play has to develop and that takes some time. Too few teams care about the team play anyway (and don't understand losing therafter). And while I agree that waiting is somewhat difficult with a 31yr old center (you couldn't with an even better 33yr old center) it a) won't take years and b) Z is a durable guy anyway so c) you got the future right before your fingertips ... 8) |
