Title: Finding a player
Post by: ClippersGM-old on August 06, 2005, 03:24:10 PM
What is the easiest way to find a player in SSBA? With all the trades... it has become hard to find a player. Do you really have to go through all the teams and hope he is on the first team you link to?

You can ask someone who's online at that time. I don't see any other way in this case.

That would be something to ask Bods - Maybe he could put some kind of search engine on the roster page...  Either by name or by ratings(like the fastbreak program has)...

Who are you looking for???

ask me if i'm online. I keep an updated excel file so locating a player is easy ...

Haha, I've come across this problem several times. Usually I just look through the teams in order, starting off with Boston and the guy ends up being on the Sonics... :(

Guess being in constant trade talks helps, too

he's on the suns now.

Btw, if you look for a star player, the "League Leaders" page proves helpful most of the times.

It's actually very easy.

Go to the "transactions" page. Press "CTRL" + "F". Type the player's last name. Press Enter. Scroll down to the last entry.

Presto.

  Rookies.

:) And if you don't find him on the transaction page, that means he either just got traded (so he'll be in the completed trades thread) or that he has been on the team for more than the current season (in which case you should already know what team he is on ;) )
