Title: Mihm, Peja and Davis
Post by: RaptorsGM on July 19, 2005, 10:40:36 AM
All 3 of these guys are available.

I have no interest in leaving my team with a gaping hole, so I would need an adequate replacment. Other than that, I'm looking for youth, and potentially high first round picks, perferably from this year.

If I trade Mihm, I would be looking for at least a PF back with at least A- defense and B+ rebounding. Also, hopefully not a player above 32 or so.

If I trade Peja, I would be looking for at least a SF back with A- or better defense, and B-, B- or better scoring. Hopefully 31 or younger.

If I trade Davis, I would be looking for at least a PG back with A-, A- defense and ball handling. 30 or younger unless it's a fantastic player.

Jazz - Got it, thanks, not interested.

Kings - what about Marbury? Marbury for Mihm? For Davis? For all 3? Be specific. But I gotta tell you, I'm not interested unless more comes from your side.

Like I said, it would have to be more.

Davis: 15.5 ppg, 9.6apg and 4.5tpg

Marbury: 20ppg, 7.5apg and 2.8tpg

....And i had to add something more? And what would that be?

Kings, could I recommend taking negotiations privately.

However, since you brought it out publicly, Davis is an A+ defender and clearly in a different league than Marbury.

I disagree on that. But since this is Raptors thread i'm not going to talk negative about his players. I will just say that we didn't have chance to see Marbury playing with stars and that he has All Star stats. That's all.

Ok, Kings, let me break it down for you. Baron Davis doesn't score as much as Marbury does. But I'm pretty sure you've already said the reason for that (he wasn't playing with all-stars). Marbury is not as good a scorer as Baron is. B B- is better than C+B. Baron's handles are better, which has made him the SSBA  career assists leader. Baron's defense is FAR better, which makes him the SSBA career steals leader.

Baron > Marbury.

Now that we've got that settled, let's end this conversation and get back to my trade talk.

We are still talking PG here, do we ? Inside scoring is nice, but a guard shoots more from the outside (unless your AI) and freethrows too, so outside scoring is a tiny little bit more valuable here ...
