I get some sort of veteran assistance for my Kiddie corps to relieve them of the full scoring burden which no one but Curry was willing to take on last season. For whatever reason, Barry wasn't able to bring winning to Boston early last season, lets see if Vladimir is more successful here with the young guys more experienced now too.

Aside from the fact that Radman himself is only 25 and might still get better as well, I expect my team to be more competitive when fielding a consistent lineup now. Gone will be the rotation from last year and I'm pretty sure what everyone on my team can do by now. There's only so much talent a team can carry and now I find more playing time for everyone.

And the Kings get some talented depth which will at the very least make TC far more interesting in Sacto ...

Well, unless/until another trade is made, Pietrus will have to be starting.  Unless Louis Williams or Darius Songaila is going to start next to Bred Miller (which I hope not for the Kings sake, Gooden should be starting at PF)
Luisetti will be some very nice scoring off the bench.

But don't worry, defense was one of the big advantages Mickael could provide for me, which will be most of what your Kings need from him with your other starters all capable scorers. And he's still getting better ...

The trade is pretty even, imo...
Pietrus and Vlad are very similiar, although Vlad is a better post defender and Pietrus is a better perimeter defender...
The two shot almost the same percentages last year.

Clears up some roster space for the Celtics, which helps them a bit, and gives the Kings a couple extra bodies, which they need.

Actually i have one deal in mind for one decent C so Miller might start at PF and Gooden at SF. I like his A defense at SF....I'm going big!

You can do sign and trades with players during the free agency period, to get your filler...  As long as you sign them and trade them with 24 hours...

Also you can bypass the 60 day rule if they are the only player sent out in the trade.

For example:

If you wanted to trade Baly then you can any time as long as you don't add any other players from your roster in the deal.  If you want to package him with another player - whether on your roster now or signed in FA - then you have to wait 60 days.

My guess: It's simply done to avoid constant trading traffic killing any consistency (check other leagues which allow unlimited trading - and show me one single roster that's up for more than 2 weeks).

But since you don't want to avoid any chance to move aquired players further along, the "no 60d rule if only player traded" rule is some relief on that strict time limit.

You didn't know about the rule that a player can be re-traded before 60 days as long as he is the only player being sent out? Kings, you never cease to amaze me...

What's the point of it?  I don't know.  Ask the people who wrote the NBA CBA.  Because that rule is in the real nba, it wasn't added for this sim.

But if other leagues using FBB too DON't have that rule and allow unlimited trading, it can't be part of the FBB program then, right ? It's part of OUR rules here in SSBA (which I like, btw)

I think it is to show at least a little respect for the players...
These players have to move with every trade.  A 60 day moratorium on trading them again is not a bad thing.
It also keeps teams from signing players, and then flipping them.  Free agents make decsions based on location.  Guy signs in Miami because he wants to live there, and is traded 5 days later to freezing cold Minnesota.  That would royally suck, and none of us would like that either as people...

No, i like it. Let it be just like it's in the real NBA. That's the way i like more, otherwise we would face whole kinds of horrible mutations...

No, there's an option in the program to turn the 60 day rule off entirely.
