Title: draft order question Post by: HornetsGM on June 27, 2005, 06:02:18 AM can someone tell me how to figure out where the teams tied at 30-52 stand as of right now (or do it for me :) )?
I want to know where the Suns' pick stands. Title: draft order question Post by: PacersGM on June 27, 2005, 06:33:26 AM you won´t know it before the draft order is set.

Sure, the lottery won't be done until the end of the playoffs, but the rest of the first round and complete 2nd round should be known by now - and even the ranking (chances) for the lottery. There has to be some rule like conference record (as in the NBA) or divisional record to determine yourself. Hope the commish can clarify that (and probably provide us a conference record - or at least the "below-lottery" draft order) Title: draft order question Post by: RaptorsGM on June 27, 2005, 07:18:55 AM The rule in the NBA is a coin flip.
It's probably something similar in SSBA, hence no way to know until draft order is up. Title: draft order question Post by: KingsGM-old on June 27, 2005, 07:26:32 AM well if the teams are tied with the same record aren't they look then at the games beetwen those 2 teams?
Title: draft order question Post by: NetsGM on June 27, 2005, 09:26:50 AM For playoff positioning there are tiebreakers. For the draft, I believe in the NBA it is a coin flip. At least that's how it was when the Raptors and Sixers tied for the 8th spot.

No, it's REALLY a draw (or coin toss) to determine the draft order of teams with identical records. The winner picks ahead in the first draft round and behind in the 2nd round. I was absolutely sure that they use conference record or something for the draft order, but I looked it up and apparently the record is used only for playoff positioning. So let's wait how bods coin falls ... Title: draft order question Post by: HornetsGM on June 27, 2005, 09:29:22 AM dangit, so I won't know for a while I guess. :(
