The real part of the trade hasn't happened yet. Another 8 game sim for the Cavs. Hope there isn't another letdown. A 4-4 would be greatly welcomed...

I face the Rockets twice and get to test my changes for the first time against the Mavs. If anything I think i'll go 4-3, but I'll get to learn how good my changes really were.

Kings @ Heat; tough game. but the Heat went down a bit in the last sim and they don't have Shaqster anymore so i have every right to look for a W in that

Mavericks @ Kings; biggets game so far. the clash of 2 powerhouses and first 2 seeds in the west. i just HAD to beat them. they've already beat me last 2 times so i belive it had to be a my turn now. W

Kings @ Lakers; 3:1 so far for my boys. can't predict

Kings @ Timberwolves; won easily the last time by 18. i'm not sure what's gonna happen now but i still dare to say W

Kings @ Hornets; haven't played them so far, they're pretty good and cause of the homecourt advantage on their side i'll go with L

too late for us european guys but we'll check it in the morning.

The Celtics see one winnable game vs. Spurs (sorry, SpursGM) and some tough assignments with the Grizzlies and Heat. If either the Hawks or Suns fail, it migth be Christmas once again here in the Northeast.

Let's see was the BARRY dude can do now that he's assured of moving into a winning (cough!) environment (cough!, cough!) soon. Nathaniel VanExel is making his Celts debut from the bench and Darko get's the assignment of defending the smaller forwards for once.

How great it is when a player who averages 27/8/4.5 with 2.3 spg on 48% shooting doesn't make the allstar game

Well that just sucks.  Shaq is out for 25 days with a Torn Abdominal Muscle.

Sonics go a disappointing 2-4 after Shaq goes out in the first contest.

However, the good news:

Chase Hoiberg went nuts, with an average of 14.5 rebounds per contest.

Now we will see if these young guys can keep the Sonics in contention until the big man returns.

Yeah I'm an idiot, I didnt even notice Pierce was out for 34 frikin days.  And I actually did good with the slow pace, went 2-2 without Pierce.  But my season is done, I just hope I can hold down the 8th spot

Losing Pierce and basically destroying my season is worse than you giving away my pick IMO.  You're an elite team, I'm tryin to make the damn playoffs for the first time, can't see why you'd dwell on giving away a pick (which hopefully won't be lotto :prays harder than hes ever have before:)

I dunno, depends how poorly I finish the season, I went 2-2 without Pierce but I dunno what DC was used.

Oh, and Peaj wins 3 pt shootout again :)

All six of my rookies made the All-Rookie squad, with English winning the Player of the Game award.

I dunno whats worse, realising my season is over or realising I'm going to have to hear the Raptors gloat every second day for the rest of the season  :)

Dissapointed that Billups and Kidd get the nod for the East over Baron.

But Baron deosn't even have a 2:1 To to assist ratio anyway.

Just to let everyone know...
because of my teams bad performance, it has become apparent that this team will not improve.  Pau Gasol and Lebron James are now available in trade.

tough sim...3-3 with 2 losses to the Nuggets and one to the Bucks..I was expecting 4-2, I played the Bucks 3 times so I thought they might get one but I also thought that I would split with the Nuggets...but Houston played great and in the absence of Tanner for 3 game Drobnjak was outstanding, it was a bad sim in the fact that I thought that my team might be able to gain a little ground on the Wizards and Bulls

Ha, another 2-6 sim. The offense is alright, not good enough, but hanging in there. The defense needs work though. Barry will be a very welcomed addition. If this season doesn't turn around, which will likely be the case, there is always next year. The nucleus will be intact along with some nice rooks.

I changed my lineup and made Josh and Nelson a starter. Both of them player well... Nelson had a 27, 8 and 8 performance in his first start.

I should say that this isn't a bad sim at all for my team. Dwight has also been picking up double-double which I really expected from him this season.

Now that I'll bring back Kidd as my starter at point, I'm want to look at how Josh Howard responds into playing extensive minutes at the SF spot. He'll get another starting postion on the next sim.

Well, that was one of the better nights for the Celtics, going 2-3 for a season high .400 record (this sim only, otherwise I'm at about .040) and on top of that NOBODY BROKE HIS SKULL  :!:  this time.

While the W over the Spurs didn't come as a huge surprise it was nice to beat another borderline playoff team with the Grizzlies on a rock solid Eddy Curry contribution of 19/9/4blk and no TOs. Nice that Rod White starts to earn some of that MLE dollars I'm throwing at him.

One step closer to the FIRST goal this season of avoiding the 72/73 Sixers record and with 7 W's and 46 to go I think we'll just have to avoid a major crash of whatever wiping out the Celts.  :wink:

There are still some MAJOR issues waiting to be taken care of including durability on the road (a 42pt drubbing from the Hawks was simply a collective refusal of work - thank god the league invented wind sprints some time ago) and and giving the ball away on one of five posessions doesn't cut it in this league as well. But still spirit is high and the squad can hardly await playing 14 of the next 19 on the road ...  :shock:

another bad sim for me. went 3-2 but couple of HUGE wins makes me optimistic about my team. here's the breakdown;

biggest lost of the season. my starting five played usual but god damn vladimir stepania and michael doleac decided to have a career nights as they collected 34 (??!!) rebounds combined. 18 stepania and 16 doleac.

I went 3-2 this sim with a loss to the celtics. Yes, the Celtics. It baffles me. Rashard Lewis has been too inconsistent and Lorenzon Wright should never shoot the ball again.  Anyways, i'm about only a game from 8th place so when the season ends i expect to finish 5th place at the least.

I just noticed that Bradley Bee made the Sophmore team at the Rook game. Sweet. Not bad for a dude who has played in 8 games.

Yeah, that sucked. My team was primed for a Championship. I should still have the top record with all the other injuries.

Honestly, I spend very little time with the BFTG sim that BUlls and I are talking about, and not time with the other one.

Mainly because alot of my time is spent right here :)

Hm...

defense went to hell on the road.  Gave up 87 ppg at home, with the opponents shooting 39% and turning the ball over 16 times/game.  On the road I gave up 101 ppg on 44% shooting, only forcing 14 turnovers/game.

Offense remained consistent, and might have been my best offensive sim.  100.6 ppg during the sim, shooting 45%, 53% from 3.  turned the ball over a bit though.

Nice to see Marc Jackson have a couple of nice games (17/7, 13/15) when Sammy went down.

Shane Battier actually busted out with a 22/9 performance!

Dalembert was a rebounding and shotblocking beast before getting injured.  11.3 pts, 13.3 boards, 5 blocks

Emeka with 19/13/4.

Chauncey's continuing all-star form.  17/10 that sim, with only 3 turnovers, shot 54%, 63% from 3.

Pettit was typical.  25 ppg, 47% from the field, 42% from 3, 93% from the line.  

Especially considering the injuries, I'm happy.  Beat the Heat twice, Pistons on the road.  Would have liked to have beaten the Raptors.  No matter their team, good or bad, I just don't seem to beat them.  If I play them in the playoffs, I have some changes to my dc I think will help, but obviously can't do that now.  Emeka and Sammy put up some good numbers, but got in huge foul trouble.

Damn, my 3 point shooting is just a disgrace. Dead last in percentage, and 2nd worst is made per game. Can't wait till Barry arrives...

I wonder what you would try in the playoffs.

I would Move Peja to Sg to keep him away from Battier, except Battier hasn't been able to contain him in the first 2 games :)

C's still only shot 35.8% against Emeka.  PF's 36.8% against Dalembert.  Amazing.

Yao was the only one to drop 20 on Emeka.  Emeka did hold him to 40% shooting, but he got to the line 16 friggin times, and Emeka only played 24 minutes.

Kirk Snyder is the next "Air Dallas" as he won the dunk contest easily.  Rookie SG Oscar Jeannette who hasn't play a single minute was also in the dunk contest.  Looks like I have two high flyers on my team. :D

I like my team on BFTG way more than this one, the thing is I don't like STB very much at all, FBB is sooooo much better.  STB is just too complicated, although the commish over there has done an amazing jobe with the amount of depth in the league.  The college scouting tah you can do with STB is amazing.

This league is fun, easy, and has a good core of active GM's

RaptorsGM, PacersGM, and myself are in league aII.  Check out the college basketball section, its crazy.  Its the most in depth league you'll find anywhere, but almost to a fault.  Its very complicated and you have to manage your cap very carefully.

Here's the thing - I'm not about to argue top 10 players at each position. If Baron isn't an all-star, thats fine.
