Title: Pettit, Okafor and Dalembert Post by: NetsGM on May 29, 2005, 11:37:49 AM Just seeing what the interest would be. If you feel you have what it takes to make an offer for any of these 3, go for it. Chances are I will NOT make a deal, I'm just interested to see if it's possible.
Title: Pettit, Okafor and Dalembert Post by: NetsGM on May 29, 2005, 11:45:56 AM BTW, the reason I could (repeat, COULD) trade one of the 3 is this.
In the next 3 years I have 2 terrible draft picks, and some cap room that an impact player might never be available for. There isn't much of a means to add additional pieces. So, while I naturally don't like trading away pieces of my team (hard to have a centerpiece when it changes every year), I could if it clearly made me closer to a championship. Or I could just wait and hope LeBron decides to join me next offseason  Title: Pettit, Okafor and Dalembert Post by: CavsGM on May 29, 2005, 12:01:27 PM I'll pretend like I didn't read that...
Title: Pettit, Okafor and Dalembert Post by: NetsGM on May 29, 2005, 12:04:11 PM Don't worry, after teh Billups trade I don't think I'll even have room for a max free agent.
He would be my perfect piece at the 3 though :) Him or Kirilenko. Title: Pettit, Okafor and Dalembert Post by: CavsGM on May 29, 2005, 12:54:39 PM Oh I'm not worried. James is staying right where he is...

Title: Pettit, Okafor and Dalembert Post by: NetsGM on May 29, 2005, 01:55:27 PM Eh, you know what, nevermind. Ignore this thread. I doubt very much I could bring myself to making a trade at this time. For one because I enjoy building around players moreso than reshuffling, and for two because I want to see how this team performs. So thanks for the handful of offers already received, but sending me an offer would probably be a waste right now.
