Post by: KingsGM-old on May 22, 2005, 05:09:29 PM
i sent some 20 MLE offers but in just one PM, as a list. is that correct or i have to send that in seperate ways, player by player in multiple PM's ?

Nope, that's how you do it.

20 is alot. I wouldn't have done that, because it just makes that much more work for Bods.

Yeah. Although the commish says a lot of offers are ok, I think you should try to limit it to a reasonable number.
Did you offer the MLE to Yao and Shaq dude? That's just unnecessary if you did, especially after the commish explicitly said not to do that...

Kings: in fact, you can even include ALL your offers in one pm, not separating them into MLE, other players, etc.

what you did was fine, but it can be done in one pm.

20 offers? I know dabods is just trying to be nice and all, but there should be some restrictions. That many offers is ridiculous.

His actually didn't take me nearly as long as some others.  MLE offers get entered quick, it's people with multiple years and raises that take long.

I understand, but that still is a ton of offers for one team to have. There should be a limit.

Well, I did my math wrong, so that will slow things up some more, maybe. Not quite sure how this program works.

The only good reason for having a limit is that it won't take too much time for Bods. I would really understand this!

But as Bods said, 20 MLE offers don't take much time. So give me one other good reason why there should be a limit! Right, none.

In fact, I believe that offering 20 guys the MLE is only a bad thing for the guy who is making the offers. Because you have a much greater chance of having a lesser guy accepting the MLE first.

You make a good point. I guess it's alright then.

Ok that's cool. See KingsGM sent in 20 MLE offers and got Bobby Jackson with it. He is not terrible, but I think you could do better with that MLE. But by sending in 20 MLE's, the worst player of those 20 could sign right away. There is no order in offering those 20 guys a contract. He could have offered only MLE to the best 8 players from that list, and someone might have accepted.
