Title: Clippers - Hornets
Post by: ClippersGM-old on April 28, 2005, 05:58:16 PM
I don't know if this is still in time. But I remember from last deadline that as long as the deal is before the sim... it is ok. Is that correct? If not... oh well... forget about all this.

Childress
Keon Clark (signed off of waivers)
Hornets 2007 2nd

for

Livingston

Clippers cut Rickey Paulding to make the deal work.

wow....interesting move by the Clipps in the playoff hunt but Childress is nice and Livingston is a good pickup for the Hornets, a good PG in a few years if he improves

Man, what if Pavel and Childress improve enough to start? I will have a 6'7 pg and a 7'5 center. Plus, Deng is playing at the 2 and he's 6'8.

For now Livingston will probably ride the pine. I'd rather have Christie back there.

Both Livingston and Childress are young and have A potential. My defense improves with Childress playing the sf and Maggette being moved to sg. Gordon will now handle the point which he can do well (he did it before). Though he only has C+ handles... he is a better pg now than Livingston. With Gordon's A potential, I hope his handles improve this TC.
Though I really love Livingston and was not ready to trade him... I believe my team is better now for the upcoming playoffs.

The clue will be next TC. Both Childress and Livinston have A potential... who will use it the best?

Thanks Jazz.

The Raptors offered Ellis in my trade thread, but I think Livingston's upside is better. The rookies made by humans are always overrated and turn into monsters. Hopefully I made the right choice between the two... The size was a big factor too.

I like this trade for both teams...
Potential for potential...
Livingston can take over for Cassel, hopefully soon.
Childress goes directly into the starting lineup.

according to what the Raptors has told me...size doesn't matter too much until you get inside, but either ellis or livingston you still make out with a hot prospect. Ellis would be better shortterm...but with A potential at 19 years old...livingston was a nice pick-up, there is a chance however that him and ellis would equal out anyways being that ellis is better already with B potential. At least you have cassell for a year to give livingston a year to mature.

This is what I read off the FBB forum. I have nothing else to back it up, but I read that size only matters in a post player.

It seems like it would matter on the defensive end maybe, and with rebounding.

Remember when what's his face went off at point guard for the Sixers? Size has to matter I think.

I really have no clue whatsoever.
