Title: Another Warriors/Bulls Trade
Post by: GoldenStateGM on April 28, 2005, 04:12:38 PM
Warriors trade:
Mike Dunleavy

Bulls trade :
Speedy Claxton and Brendan Cosic

Within 13% salary...
Dunleavy is being traded by himself, so the 60 day rule does not apply.
Claxton and Cosic have not been traded yet this season, so they can be combined.

Well, at least you do not have to move Dunleavy to a new team...   :D

It is a shame we did not discuss this before, we could have made one trade.  Dunleavy to me was salary filler, and not really anything more.

Claxton is an expiring point guard, who I hope to resign.  He is a nice back-up to Hinrich...

Cosic is the the reason I did this.   I need a SG with good defense, and Cosic's young age (18), current defense (B-), and potential (A) make me think he might get up to an A- defense someday...

I basically got Radmovich/Johnson/Kamens for Claxton/Cosic/Kaman.  I can definetely live with that, the sum trade helped both teams

Agreed...
Radman was going to get no time, with Odom in the fold.
If Kaman goes up just one defense ranking, he is a perfect fit next to Gasol.
I have missed Speedy since I traded him this offseason. I think he is perfect complement to Hinrich...
But now I have traded Dunleavy twice... in one year

Well actually he went from: Warriors-Bulls-Warriors-Bulls in one year (I traded for him last offseason)

Lol, he'll probably end up going to another team.  He'll most likely ask for a ridiculous contract, but he's 5 mill in expiring
