Title: Re: Jazz/Spurs Trade Post by: JazzGM on April 30, 2010, 03:15:12 PM I went back and forth over this trade with the strength of this upcoming draft but thought that I could get the most out of Harper's last couple of years, especially his A+ defense at a high-talent position in this league. With Polynice out for the year, I'm really looking to next season. With Harper, I may not have to resign Price again next season and it opens my MLE to other positions than PG.
I definitely boosted my depth and gained a possible starter in Stacey Augmon. Both Augmon and Harper fit into my inside-scoring, defensive focused team. I gave up my 2034 pick thinking that I can't wait another 2-3 years for a player to develop and I also have 2 1st rounders next season, I need to win now with the players I have. I also got rid of Hawkins contract. Definitely a revamped Jazz squad, trying to get this team back into shape after my multi-year absence from SSBA. |
